Couldn't care less, I'd buy one.Don't come crying to me when Old Trafford is turned into apartment blocks, because Saudi Arabia will have bought out the rights to host our home matches.

Shut up man. I think that skys strategically placed slaughter of this Super League that hasn't in any way got the go-ahead and that we evidently know very little about is all to do with money.
They know that they are standing to lose the most on this.
Mint.Yeah that's right, football is rife with corruption. So of course the obvious answer is to double down on it. Sell it all off to private equity firms so they can finally kill the game of football in its entirety. Makes perfect sense.
Kroenke and Glazer are champions of the people.
He did I think, he said they and Chelsea are new money so he doesn't have great expectations of them doing the right thing.Aah I see, why didn’t Neville mention them in his rant?
How can it be a super league if city are in it? Not even joking they aren’t a big club.

Effectively gets around FFP in a legal way but for every team in the competition also. It's a case of "we couldn't beat them, so we joined them"Partly a method of getting more money due to their impact yes, but not to spite them, as they'll still be involved!
Do you really think players would choose to play in the more and more increasingly irrelevant international games, instead of trousering 250-300k or more in an even richer world?Clubs are nothing without players and fans. What players would sign for these clubs knowing you cant play in Euros or World Cup? Players have power, the message from players to the boards of the clubs might make these stupid owners who are only interested in vast profits see sense.
They should make an example of all the clubs involved and give them points deduction to get them out of top 4 places and allow other team to replace them. Take Citys PL title for this season away from them. That will teach them.
Just delusional greed nothing else.
Well done PSG, Dortmund Bayern for not signing up to this.
Tottenham there is weirder.Aah I see, why didn’t Neville mention them in his rant?

If it gets the go ahead then it damages their main product.... the Premier League, as 6 of the biggest clubs would be banned.I love how Sky are getting on the high horse about this, as if they won’t be bidding big for the TV rights for matches to offer to customers on PPV!
There won't be any real difference though.Effectively gets around FFP in a legal way but for every team in the competition also. It's a case of "we couldn't beat them, so we joined them"

If you were Ole would you want to have to lie through your teeth in support of this as that's what he'd have to do being the manager?Whats happened?
You do know that UEFA is suggesting a complete revamp of the CL format beginning from 24...Introducing a league, with a shitload of matches, instead of group stages.Isn't the appeal of the CL the fact that these teams don't play each other every season?
This is the first time IIRC that Chelsea have played Madrid in years or at all. Then there is also the running history behind these games, the European "rivalries" you don't get every season. People still talk about those Madrid vs United games that Ronaldo dominated or the Bayern v Barcelona match ups.
That is going to be lost if you have Madrid vs Man Utd every season, twice a season.
He does. But he is still right. What conspiracy? I think you're reading far too much into what I said. I'm talking about taking a healthy scepticism towards the current outrage on display on Sky.
Along with Sky, Neville has a vested interest as he works for Sky and he invests in a lower league team.
Yeh, and they suck. But they don't suck as hard as this.Mint.
You've seen the CL revamp suggestions from UEFA, have you?

Not to mention the money-spinning friendlies.Isn't the appeal of the CL the fact that these teams don't play each other every season?

I would imagine that it would be an initial step to breaking off from domestic competitions. At some point they would want to be on at the weekends to get the largest viewing figures and would decide that playing Burnley doesn't sound that appealing when you can play Barcelona 4 times a year.I’m assuming it will end up being an extra competition we are in? Probably a cup competition? Doesn’t seem like the end of the world but I guess we need to wait for an announcement.
Maybe (hopefully) they just bit off more than they could chew this time? This isn't going to happen, UEFA will just bow down to most of the clubs' demands.
Salford are worthless if the big teams leave the PL. All his money, flushed into a team that no one's ever going to buy off himThey have an interest but Neville's reaction is how most fans have reacted. Why would his opinion not be similar or as passionate??
I am Spartacus. I'm not going anywhere near this bullshit if it goes through, 'and you can quote me on it'.People in here saying football is nothing without fans.
There's not a person on this forum that wouldn't pay £30 a month for ONE subscription to watch elite football on a weekly basis.
Exactly, this is the response to the proposed revamp.Mint.

I wouldn’t.People in here saying football is nothing without fans.

Getting bummed by Madrid, Juve, Barca every week will be an interesting chapter in The History of the Tottenham.Tottenham there is weirder.
True, which obviously would kill the spectacle. At the same time I’d enjoy us waving two fingers at the FA. I can’t see it being a good idea mind.I would imagine that it would be an initial step to breaking off from domestic competitions. Yeah but the big teams won't mind if they're also getting a big whack of the money instead of watching Pep spend £1b on full backs and they're having to shop in the bargain binThere won't be any real difference though.
Say all clubs get 500m a for joining, City still have the richest owners on top of that.
Salford are worthless if the big teams leave the PL. All his money, flushed into a team that no one's ever going to buy off him
A small point, but kick off times are not irrelevant at all. Even with Europe, depending on where you're from some of the especially late ones are antisocial. Before we ended up in a Thursday - Sunday cycle, I was a season ticket holder at my local team, but kick offs at half fecking ten at night are piss take unless that fits your culture. Feck knows how those on the other side of the world (don't 12-hour pedant me) cope.Kick off times are irrelevant, people are moaning about Friday night kick offs, people just like to moan.
That will add to their football heritage.Getting bummed by Madrid, Juve, Barca every week will be an interesting chapter in The History of the Tottenham.
How would it make Sky and the PL hypocrites?I doubt this will actually happen for a variety of reasons but the hypocrisy of Sky and the PL is highly amusing.
In the unlikely event it does happen it’ll probably be the final straw for me.
