The UEFA announced that all participated clubs will be banned from domestic and European competitions :

https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/new...he-english-football-association-the-premier-/

If you think this is just a play from them to scare clubs out of it, I mean at the end it's really your own assumption and interpretation of such announcement and nothing more.
Already answered that question multiple times. They just can't ban and it won't stand in the court.

You made the below point and I would call this as an assumption.

You're dreaming if you think it's just an added competition to the list. It's supposed to replace the CL all together because these clubs aren't content with its money.

UEFA want to expand the CL to include more clubs, which likely reduces the revenue for the existing big clubs.

UEFA have also completely failed to reign in oil money clubs thanks to their farcical FFP implementation, and this has hugely driven up costs for the non oil big clubs.

The big clubs have been talking of a breakaway continental tournament for a while now, to pressure UEFA into bending to their whims/drop the expansion ideas but UEFA haven't done it, so the big clubs have gone ahead with the breakaway league plans.
Ty. Sounds like a huge hoax.

Seems to me like they leaked something to dip their toe in the waters of public opinion.
They knew this would happen, but causing a stirr is a good negotiation point for them to show that they are serious about their demands.

I wonder if this leak was pre-planned from the "big six" to test the waters. Or if it was from someone who caught wind of the plans who disagrees and wanted to throw a spanner in.
If anything it was to throw a spanner in the works of UEFA's plan to burden the big clubs with more games against worse opposition for less money that's being announced tomorrow. They were trying to get concessions last week, but seems like UEFA are ploughing on ahead.

So many posts on here saying the CL is shite and boring anyways...

Couldn't that just be recency bias due to the fact United don't play a major role in the competition for quite some time now? I can observe it myself, that I am not really interested in CL football anymore as soon as United is out of it/isn't even in it to begin with.

But from a factual point of view, the CL is as exciting as it ever was, maybe even more so. Over the last few years alone, you had fecking Spurs in a Final, Liverpool winning it, Ajax in the Semis etc. That's pretty diverse if you ask me, far from "it's always the same 4 clubs". Sure, not so long ago you had the Real triad but that was also exciting imo, as no one ever managed to defend the CL Title prior to that, let alone win it three times on the trot.

And United don't play a major role due to no ones fault but our own, make no mistake. It's not City's or Chelsea's or oil money's fault that we had no claim to make in England, let alone Europe, for the better part of a decade. The same goes for Liverpool, as well as for Arsenal. Now our collective owners, 'murican investors the lot, want a guaranteed seat at the big boys' table on financial grounds alone. It has nothing to do with the quality of the CL at all, they just want to be in Europe's elite and profit from it, without having to go through the arduous task of actually doing anything on the pitch to deserve it.
If anything, people stating that the CL is boring are remembering a time when it wasn't 90's - 00's. Go back and look at the group stages and knockout draws then. What a time to be watching football

I hate these politicians being involved. They don't give a feck about the fans or football. Sickening hypocrisy.

What's breach of contract here ?

The lower contract is exactly the problem. You ban these clubs and you can kiss bye forever to CL. No one is watching CL without these clubs
Bullshit. People will watch which ever teams are the best. Thats not Tottenham or Arsenal. No one cares much about this current incarnation of Barcelona, Red Bull Liepzig are pretty much as attractive as them at the moment.

The Super League clubs couldn't care less about being banned from European Competition. The Super League would replace those competitions.

The threat to expel them from domestic leagues is completely empty. You think La Liga would ever want to expel Barcelona and Real Madrid? Not only would it be financial suicide but it would take about five minutes for both those clubs plus every advertising and television sponsor to immediately file suit.

The power point league:

"At last they are going to leave the 'five in the morning' bar, from the 'underground', the gurus of the 'powerpoint' super league, drunk with selfishness and lack of solidarity. UEFA, European Leagues and LaLiga have been working on this moment and they will have their due answer. ", has been tweeted by the leader of the Spanish football association.

Yeah, I'm assuming based on what UEFA did say in their own announcement. You're assuming based on your own interpretation of the events.

Till something arises that says this point won't happen, people should be concerned that this is what's going to happen if this goes on:

As previously announced by FIFA and the six Confederations, the clubs concerned will be banned from playing in any other competition at domestic, European or world level, and their players could be denied the opportunity to represent their national teams.

Pretty ominous that none of the 12 clubs responded to the invitation to this evenings emergency meeting between the clubs.

If this is true im just sad, but the Fa got greedy and let the clubs be moneymachines for Americans, Saudi and Russians. Flowers from a good time will be sent to Old Trafford, black roses.
