As much as I'd like them to, it's highly unlikely they will.I don’t give a feck what their IQ is if they decide to boycott this stupid idea
Oh, guess I am supporting them then, strange turn of events. Not PSG.
Ok, settle down sweetheart.I'll happily believe in the good of the players until I'm proven wrong, instead of coming in here with supposedly witty 1-liners, shitting on those players, that are actively trying to make a change.
By UEFA alignment I mean some kind of structure along side Cl qualification or similar if it remained, can’t just have 6 teams stinking up a league with it having no meaning to themYes it shouldn't be a closed off group with no outline as to entry requirements or consequences for failure, that much I couldn't agree with more.
I don't really care about UEFA alignment - they've proven themselves to be corrupt to feck too.

The difference there would be that there is then additional prize money for qualifying for CL/EL wouldn't there. Or a huge drop in prize money if relegated to the Championship etcThe prize money ratio is the same in the PL the winners win 1.5 times the bottom club
If it happens PSG will join. It's interesting that a capitalistic and very aggressive strategy is reduced to sportswashing.
Because it isn't first place matters, they have to qualify for the knock out stages , so at least the top eight places matterWelly yeah, mainly because of the draft. But in ESL what incentive would most teams have to fight it out whole season, when you can't get relagated and only 1st place matters?
Possibly.Wasn't that Martin Edwards?
They might. They won’t. They don’t refuse to play for racism I doubt they’d do it to protect Sky and the PL’s pockets.
I suppose so but I wouldn't be surprised if they have different plans with the LFP and the Bundesliga. I wouldn't rule it out.If it happens PSG will join.
A frightening prospect for sure, but I'm all for it if it finally rids us of the Glazers.Starting to look a lot like we'll be the last ones standing from England in this, and while kicking 6 teams out of the PL might not be on the table kicking 1 out may well be
I’ll vote for Bozza too in that case. There you go, @Pexbo. Turns out it wasn’t actually identity politics that was the final piece of the jigsaw in the Tory master plan....

PSG will join just as soon as the 2022 World Cup is over and they're no longer bound to FIFA by the most corrupt World Cup in history. If it happens PSG will join.
https://www.premierleague.com/news/2112093The Premier League, alongside The FA, met with clubs today to discuss the immediate implications of the Super League proposal.
The 14 clubs at the meeting unanimously and vigorously rejected the plans for the competition.
The Premier League is considering all actions available to prevent it from progressing, as well as holding those Shareholders involved to account under its rules.
The League will continue to work with key stakeholders including fan groups, Government, UEFA, The FA, EFL, PFA and LMA to protect the best interests of the game and call on those clubs involved in the proposed competition to cease their involvement immediately.
The Premier League would like to thank fans and all stakeholders for the support they have shown this week on this significant issue.
The reaction proves just how much our open pyramid and football community means to people.
But there'd probably be more prize money for the results in the knock-out stages and I'm sorry but if any of the teams that will take part in this competition get relegated by normal means from their national leagues (not banned) in the next twenty years I will buy everyone a drink on this forum. The difference there would be that there is then additional prize money for qualifying for CL/EL wouldn't there. Or a huge drop in prize money if relegated to the Championship etc
Even if the SL was the best idea in the world, the fact that players, managers and fans had no say or even acknowledged when making the decision is what ultimately everyone is rightly against. It's not a defence of UEFA really.Yes it shouldn't be a closed off group with no outline as to entry requirements or consequences for failure, that much I couldn't agree with more.
I don't really care about UEFA alignment - they've proven themselves to be corrupt to feck too.
Probably still exploring what they can do legally.Bit of a nothing statement there to be honest.
More detail from Pep. Good stuff!Asked if it was right he was the first person from the club to answer questions about the Super League, the Manchester City boss said: "It is an honour. I am a good spokesperson.
“Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer], Jurgen [Klopp], Mikel [Arteta], Thomas [Tuchel] – we are all in the same position. We speak six times a week about everything, from COVID-19 to the NHS.
"I would love the president from this committee to go around the world and tell us why Ajax are not in there or whether they will be."
This is a legal minefield.Bit of a nothing statement there to be honest.
I wouldn't even threaten it, just do it. These 6 clubs all deserve it for the disruption caused to football over the last few days at the very least.Hope they make a audacious statement, I wouldn't be against threatening to relegate the top 6 to the lower leagues to make a strong point.
Good. One way this could be killed really quickly is for the players to strike/say they will not participate.
Ultimately nothing lasts forever. PL, CL, FA Cup etc are all private competitions in which private businesses participate in - they don't have to remain the same forever, and are subject to change or dissolution at any time - I think every fan needs to be aware of that, if the last few days haven't made this point crystal clear.By UEFA alignment I mean some kind of structure along side Cl qualification or similar if it remained, can’t just have 6 teams stinking up a league with it having no meaning to them
I disagree again.Ok, settle down sweetheart.
Did the nasty man not agree with you?
Juventus was in serie b less than 15 years ago.But there'd probably be more prize money for the results in the knock-out stages and I'm sorry but if any of the teams that will take part in this competition get relegated by normal means from their national leagues (not banned) in the next twenty years I will buy everyone a drink on this forum.
To be fair it’s still early. They’re probably exploring all potential legal actions they can take. There’s not going to be a solution overnight. This could drag on for months.Bit of a nothing statement there to be honest.
They are literally in hiding. The fact the ESL has been so transparent with everything tells me they just no nothing can stop them. They wouldn’t have been so brash or arrogant about it.
