So you think Pogba might stay now under sufferance, that will cheer up the fan base
From what I have seen of Mctominay he seems to be much more of a leader than Pogba and I would not have a clue about the leadership qualities of Cavani but I do recall bad blood between him and Ibra whom I do think of as a leader on the pitch.
Pogba is staying in my opinion, I don't really see much option for him, but I suppose there is always the possibility he finds a way to get paid the amount he wants from Real or Juventus.
Pogba is a leader, the players often say how Pogba shares he's ready to get the ball out and doesn't shy away, how he challenges Greenwood, etc... Just because you don't like the lad doesn't mean he's not a winner in his head. I think his WC experience helps and he is being considered for that within the team.
Cavani, watch on the field how he instructs everyone to drive the team, he's very active. In the 2nd goal against Spurs, he instructs before Greenwood to pass the ball faster before he's moving, and that's exactly what happens for the goal, etc... I do think these are strong characters that also help the team to win.
Scott is a good lad, he's committed to the cause, but I don't think he can yet speak strongly in the dressing room as much as a Pogba or a Bruno or a Maguire yet. Of course, I could be wrong, it seems that we have a team full of people who are united altogether and that's what warms be the most these days. That unity is what will bring the title back to OT, if anything, as it will transcend the team when it matters.
