The second is can you not avoid alcohol for one or two days?
For me, yes, probably and maybe, in that order.
Just to add - the clinical trial I was on didn't tell us to avoid alcohol after getting the jabs. They did ask us to avoid hangovers, basically because that might have messed with our ability to identify side effects and adverse reactions.
I don't know if all trials followed the same idea, but if they did then some consumption is already baked into the efficacy stat

Whilst it was crowded outside aswell, I could have done and in hindsight I definitely should have done. At the time I just wanted to get out as soon as possible.
Felt like poo yesterday, arm really sore and whole body aching. Felt exactly like a hangover. Feeling better now but still not 100%.
I can be quite a heavy drinker, especially on matchdays so I've decided no alcohol for at least a week.

It’s the new veganism. Seems like everyone on my road got vaccinated recently and you can’t exchange more than a couple of words with them before they tell you “got the jab last week… Pfizer”

My uncle is refusing to get vaccinated (Covishield which is basically AZ) because he only want's Pfizer or Moderna and the Indian media is claiming we'll be getting it in August-September (which is unlikely btw).
He had Covid a month ago so its not that big of a deal but my god this vaccine competition is beyond moronic.
We're not arrogant, just better.
I doubt it because each & every time the panic, to them anyway, is real.

I'm sitting in the doctors after getting the first AZ shot. I have to wait for 30 mins as I carry an epipen. I'm going to be the opposite and mention that I got AZ to try to slightly reduce the clotting hysteria.
Apparently if you get a bad headache and particularly gut ache 3 or 4 days after getting the AZ vaccine and paracetamol doesn't help, then get to emergency as fast as possible as with treatment the death rate is far lower than the average of 1 in a million. Which is very good news imo.

The reports say that clots have happened up to 20 days post vaccine. Is that people whose symptoms manifested early and carried on? Just trying to understand why you said 3-4 days.
Apparently that is when the vast majority of vaccine associated clots arise.

FYI someone else on here, who I'm friends with on Facebook, just had her second AZ shot in the UK got exactly the same advice.

I think by early next year us plebs will be able to get the Rolls Royce vaccine - whether we should is another question.
It wouldn't surprise me if we all get a second vaccination next year that target variants even if (as is likely) immunity lasts longer than 1 year.

I see it’s down to 36 now and I’m 34. If I tried to book would it reject my booking or would it just be questioned when I get there? I see that people have been successful booking before their age group in the past so I’m just wondering how that happens

Seems like you could get it, perhaps talking to someone on the phone might help. I doubt you'll be arrested for trying to get it 2 years under the limit.

I can't imagine that, maybe if you did it when they were doing over 70s but at this point I don't think anyone will give a toss.
