He was good today and I’d go with him as the left CB in the final. Though he started nervously and seems to have one bad pass at the start of every game. Needs to get that out of his system.

I'm really not sure what to do.

Tuanzebe has had some horrible moments this season, but you really can't predict what you'll get from Bailly. At least we know Tuanzebe will be calm and composed if he starts against Villarreal.

Decent double block yet it was from his own c*ck-up. I don't see a future with him at United in the long-term, especially not as a first teamer.

Should start Wednesday night but I fear Ole will go for Bailly which would be the wrong call in my opinion

Had a good game defensively and has shown decent form lately while both Lindelof and Bailly have seemed to decline.
Edit: gave him 7/10 but totally forgot about the goal. Think he was weak for that.

Think he has had a couple of stand out performances and mainly decent ones with weak moments. Is it a lack of opportunities making him rusty or concentration? Though he hasnt broken through liek some hoped, I think he has done ok when used generally......but we seem to have three second choice centre backs and JOnes.....we need a partner for Maguire and still not convinced we have that player in any of the current options

His last 2 performances should see him start the final if Maguire is injured.

Another good performance from Axel, I can only think his averageness on the ball is why Ole hasn't played him more, as defensively he's very good.

I think he has an elite mentality and that’s the only reason I’d start him of Maguire isn’t fit. His performance against PSG is evidence enough for me. I just don’t trust Bailly in such a big game

He did great today! I am really not convinced to start Lindelof on LCB in the final.

Has played himself into the final for me, he has had a small run of games and has improved as they have gone by. He's got talent and they physicality for the position, he's disappointed this year at times because his timing and decision making has been too slow but hopefully it is coming together. A strong display in the final might see him rescue his career at the club.

I think it will be Bailly in the final. I would prefer it to be Tuanzebe as he’s less error prone, and think he has some room for improvement of given games.

I think he’s probably missed his chance to make it here to be honest. I do think we will buy a CB this summer and that will effectively be the end of him, as he’s at least 4th choice, probably 5th behind Bailly.

He’s a not so crazy version of Bailly but still not good enough.

Lindelof / Axel / Bailly / Jones

All 4 just not up to been a regular starter. They are fine as squad players but we don’t 4 of them either .

You know what to expect from him. With Bailly you never know. He is quick too and I would start him over Bailly. I thought he had a good game. Certainly lot better than Bailly today.

Smalling mark two. Don't trust him on the ball. Seems to dilly dally and then rocket the ball at a teammate. In his favour though he gets in the way of stuff. Much improved over recent matches. Not sure that's enough long term. However, short term he looks an option.

He had a decent game. Anyone would get the nerves playing with Bailly. He needs more game time for sure so he may need to go out on loan.

I was glad he scored his penalty. That would have been a confidence shatterer if he didn’t.

Yes and a really well struck penalty too. Was most nervous about him, James and Shaw but they all scored though Shaw was lucky

People claim he has bad feet but quite telling that he took a penalty before some others, and also that his penalty was ace. He is calm and collected with the ball. Just needs more playing time. Glad he scored, happy for him.

How he wasn't picked ahead of Bailly is beyond me, Tuanzebe deserved the nod after his previous performances.

Shame he didn't start. I hope he gets more game time next season, he could be a very good player for us.

Tuanzebe is really unreliable, so many games where he was subbed in late and made mistakes which cost us points. Im not saying lindelof is much better but hes not rubbish in the air as some here are trying to prove, hes not great but average. Is he a starting cb for united? No, not in the pl. He would do better in a less physical League.
Tuanzebe has barely played. Could you mention these games where he cost us points after being subbed on late?

I think the major thing that has impeded Tuanzebe's progress is his injury record. I remember he was nailed on to start against Liverpool the season before last and he got injured in the warm up.

Solskjaer seemed to have a change of heart over giving him more minutes after he recovered from that setback. He won't progress if he's not given a proper run but it's looking very unlikely he'll be given that opportunity to fight for a spot in the starting 11.

I feel he brings things to the table that Lindelof doesn't, like pace and strength, he doesn't get brushed off the ball easily and is better in 1v1s. This is the same guy who kept Mbappe in his pocket and matched him for pace! If anything I think he should be given a proper chance to be our third center back in the pecking order

As is now, Axel will be fifth choice if we get a new CB. I definitely think he needs to move in that case, or his career has basically ended.
If we try this stupid experiment with AWB then Tuanzebe career with us is over.

I remember when we signed Maguire, it was being touted that Tuanzebe will be his partner and I am sure he would have been if he was not injured for the whole season. Now, it is obvious that Ole will rather play a soft baby in Lindelof than Baily and Tuanzebe just because he won't be injured after playing 3 games in a row.
