It's pretty damn gorgeous. I was impressed with the look of Demon's Souls but not as much as this; really does feel next gen.

Feck it I’ve just bought it, will get to it after I’ve done the FFVII DLC.
Who impulse buys a game they don't plan to play straight away? Weird

Game looks class. I've never really cared for R&C but this looks great. I think there'll be a lot of people looking to jump in here just for the showcase.

Fight me.

I started it this morning - a wonderful opening to the game. Game looks absolutely incredible as others have said.

They must be doing something right if that miserable cnut @Redlambs is praising it:wenger:

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.

I do that a lot, though mostly things like steam sales, I have been known to buy games and then take a while to start. Like the ME remasters recently, bought them day 1 and still haven't started yet.

I'm a nightmare for the amount of games I have on the go at any one point, you wouldn't believe me if I told you just how many games I have installed on steam alone right this moment or listed my actual ongoing games I've been playing over the last week

Seriously impressed with this so far.

Probably the most graphically impressive game I've ever played.

A true next gen showcase.

I don't like the idea of paying 80 quid for a game, but if any game feels worth it, it's this. The graphics, attention to detail, use of dualsense, 3D audio, RTX etc. just make it such an incredibly next gen experience. It's a bit mind blowing at times.

Why would you pay 80?

I remember a lot of reviews for Ratchet PS4 said it felt like playing a Pixar movie, but this one is definitely a big step closer. I don't think I can remember a single loading screen so far and sometimes it's hard to tell when the cutscenes finish.

Think it's really cool that the pixel gun even transforms bosses

What.a.game!

Never really played R&C, beyond the remake (which I couldn't stick with because of the 30fps) but Rift Apart is becoming one of my favourite games in recent years.

The arsenal of weapons is staggering, the way you have to dynamically adapt in battles is stunning, the graphics, framerate and performance are just .

My only gripe is it's not very long. I've nearly finished it, but with how much fun I'm having it may be my first ever platinum.

Echo what everyone else has said with this game, just an amazing experience. I’m on the fifth planet so far, wish it was longer than it’s going to be.

Speed of the SSD never fails to amaze me.

You decide to play this before FF?

Yeah I started the DLC for FF7 but this just drew me in so I did a @CassiusClaymore and jumped games!
Probably for the best.

I'd imagine the DLC will be about 30 hours. R&C is only 15 hours unfortunately. Although I feel like I'm well below that. I think I have two more planets/levels to go.

Think I have almost finished it. Not the longest game in the world but I have absolutely loved it

How long has it taken you? HLTB says 11 hours for main or 16 hours to 100%. Not terrible by today's standards.

Bit steep for £70 if you're buying digitally, but wondering whether I could buy the disc, complete quick and trade back in without too much of a hit.

You can get it for a bit less if you buy the shopto vouchers. You could buy physical, the link I posted above is selling it for £55 - but personally I have ended up buying every PS5 game digitally so far.

Not sure how many hours, but i'm approaching the final boss. Id say well over 11 hours, though i've been doing pretty much everything

Loved every minute of that. At 80 euro it's crazy money but I had a voucher so it wasn't too bad.

I've only ever played the PS4 one before which I also loved. Can't believe I've let this whole series of games pass me by until recently.

That penultimate mission. Holy shit. I don't know what witchcraft Insomniac have used to make this game but I can't wait to see what other studios manage to get the PS5 to do.

Many of the older ones are on PS now. Still well worth playing if you get the free trial.

I have loved them since PS2

What's the other Ratchet game like on the PlayStation plus collection? I haven't played a Ratchet game in years but I'll definitely pick this one up, probably once it hits the £30-40 range. Would quite like to play the previous Ratchet game beforehand.

Got to say I have never played a R & C game but after reading this thread and a couple of reviews ... makes me wonder if I've missed summat.

Is it worth playing the 2016 release before a Rift Apart?

They patched it to 60FPS so worth a play.

I’d say so, I played through the other month (just before the patch ). It’s an incredibly fun game. I’m gonna go back and platinum it after I’ve done Rift Apart.
