Our set up is nothing alike?
4-2-3-1 With two DMs sitting pretty in front of defense, with one AMC getting up and down. One attacking FB, and the other is more defensive. One wing forward who stays up, the other wing working hard up and down. One striker who likes to roam around. Like to play from the defense.

Hmm.. yes. Other than those, I agreed it's nothing alike.

Na. We play two inside forwards out wide who use their pace to get in behind and stretch the play. We use quick passing in and around the box (hence the pens) conpared to England who use Foden, Grealish, Mount behind a basically false 9 in Kane to keep the ball and probe around the box. We move the ball quicker, our no 10 gets the ball forward quicker and we play on the shoulder a lot more. We have 2 CMs that cover the field rather than a pure DM who never leaves Stones pocket. We simply don't play with 2 DMs either.
Other than that..

Gareth Southgate deserves massive credit for getting this done, IMO. He knew that we were desperate for him and didn’t play him in case he shone and boosted his price tag. Some real 4D chess there. SouthGOAT.

We all know we're going to have to cough up the full amount in the end, so just do it ffs!

Shows how boring this saga has become when BBC say we’re close to signing someone and nobody unzips

This one needs to just be resolved now so that we can get excited for a CB

The bid is so close now that surely they’ll get this wrapped up in the coming days.

We’re doing a lot of pissing about but it won’t get done until after the Euro’s anyway.

Certainly interesting he can't get in a very pedestrian England side. What is Southgate not seeing? Might be one of those players who suits the Bundesliga but will struggle in the premier league.
Or, just could be that Southgate hasn't got a clue what he's doing.

No. Please, please, please do your research before commenting. He has played both RW and LW in his career. LW more often recently, RW all of the previous season.

He is equally productive in both positions.
I was half joking. We always end up with players who we think can play RW, but prefer LW or Centre.

I don't watch him regularly. But from what I gathered from online, it seems when he plays right, he tries to run into central spaces. But he looks more comfortable and complete on the left.
I would definitely not like to be in market again for a RW, after years of searching for one.

Yeah Dortmund need the cash pronto, it will be done soon, they are in more of a rush than we are.

We have agreement with the player, if anything it saves us a few million quid waiting until after the Euros.

I don’t understand the process. Same with Maguire. We end up paying the asking price so just get on with it.

Would be quite shocking if we did put in a bid of £72.6m and they allowed the deal to fall through as they want £80m for him with most of that up front

Its literally down from 120 million euro last summer to 85 million this summer. That’s a good sum of money towards a good centre back.

I’d be shocked if this club paid over £120m on arrivals this summer.
