I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we're watching a bunch of young wingers. Outside of Elanga, we didn't have any young winger coming up for the next few years (Emeran and Forson will take a while longer to get ready for the first team). With Elanga as the only good left winger coming up for the next few years, I can see why United are looking for more left wingers (and wingers in general).

It's probably normal nowadays that these deals happen between Italian clubs (Loan with Obligation to buy), for example, Inter signed Barella the same way (loan with obligation to buy), the same also for Sensi, so i would say at this stage, it's the norm already.

It's not even delayed payment because these kind of arrangements would include some sort of loan fees as well.
It's just creative accounting nothing else.

It's just a way for clubs to balance the books. Say Sassuolo want €40m for Locatelli, the press say Juve have him on loan for 2 seasons then have to sign him, they'll probably pay €10m loan fee per season and then €20m obligation payment to sign him, everyone wins.
