Surely by the time Donnarumma retires he'll have been involved in so many more matches than anyone else in the history of football, atleast at elite level? Crazy he's only 22.

Of course there is an arm contact, but not a push or similar things.

That was a pen for me. Quick lad gets round the defender, defender shoved him in the back - travelling at that speed it was easily enough for him to go down.

Don’t often see those sort of foul given, and often they are dives, but that one for me is a pen

Lineker and co laughing and joking how the pen was soft but least it’s made a game of it. Let’s see if you say the same thing if such a decision goes against England, tossers.

Refs are not consistent. That foul is hardly ever given.
Indeed, that sort of thing happens all the time in that area of the pitch and nothing happens. It's a soft one.

Those 45 minutes flew by. Especially in comparison to the first 45 in the first game.

Excellent football on display.

Courtois is absolute shite, I'm not saying he should save either but he should do better. Doesn't even extend his arm for the first even though he's in position.

Eh? They were just jostling. The attacker also tried to push him away.

Soft penalty. Doku seems to jam his toe into the ground which makes him go down easier.

The way Tielemans gets beat by Insigne before Italy's second...

...if that was Pogba people would be talking about defensive discipline from a #8

Wait, people don't think that's a foul?

He just straight up shoved him as he ran through. One of the clearest pens I've ever seen.

What are people watching?!
Italy have been awesome though.

Aye, he pulls his arm away from the first one, can only presume he thought it was going wide, you atleast make an effort. Either that or he has a decent bet on Italy.

cracking first half....thsi game is definitely living up to the hype and buildup

offside goal....two quality finishes from the italians and a fcking soft penalty thanks to what they consider a push in the back

It's a penalty, but literally happens to Dan James 10 times a season and is not given.
Yeh it's weird. Anywhere else on the pitch, it wouldn't be even a freekick.

But then, maybe we watch too much of PL.

Man and people say international football is dead, the saltiness between rival fans in this tourney has been worse than anything I've ever seen at club level and its fecking great. Its why shit or not, international football will always be king.

I do think it was a pen and I don't really know how people are thinking otherwise.

That being said, Italy have been great and I think Belgium are quite lucky to still be close. They need to come out and play still which should make it interesting.

Never a penalty that. Might as well be a none contact sport if that is a penalty.

Why can attackers be physical in the box and defenders can't? The game is far too favoured to attackers so that the game can be more entertaining for us as consumers.

No team in particular.
Pretty much all big games in this tournament have been fun probably bar Belgium - Portugal because of how defensive Belgium were in it.
Portugal vs Belgium was a shithousery, worst game I've seen in an Euro in the last 20 years.

Portugal not creating much also helped a bit.

If that's pen then needed consistency. If it will happen in other end he should give it then fair enough.
