Belgium never lived up to there best team in the world tag in this competition. Liked the look of Italy since game one, no real superstars, a team of togetherness and full work rate.

Is that fans the Italy players are mixing with?

They will get utterly slaughtered if they test positive before the next game.

Italy are the biggest time wasters I've seen so far in the euros. Hope to god england smash them if we play them in the final.

Not necessarily. According to my wife (who is a surgeon), that injury did not look like a knee or thigh injury based one the movement before the accident and especially the resting position afterwards (ankle high up with a bend knee). She suspects a ripped achilles tendon and with that you do not walk anymore if you don´t want to scream in pain. There are so many nerves that run there that they probably need to completely knock him out with pain killers to even work on him.

The added time based on all that happened was still far too low, though. That could have been 8 minutes easily.
Basketball players have walked on and off the court with a ruptured achilles tendon. In pain, yes, but not impossible. The guy was on his way to the side of the field already if not for his teammates telling him to go down.

Yes and do more damage
Couldn’t possibly now without knowing the injury. 1 meter walking, very unlikely to do more damage. Should he have done it? No. Would he have done it if football had time stoppages? Undoubtedly yes.

Should have put money on this match, I never had a doubt. Martinez is a second rate manager, Italy are back!

For this golden generation Belgian FA should have recruited a top coach. May be they thought anyone can be a coach and they will win everything.

So much for Belgium's golden generation. They always seem to fail.

I quite fancy England against either Spain or Italy.

Great play from Italy no matter what team they play, not so much the Belgians

Bonkers, what are they doing jumping into the crowd. I hope they don't come down with Covid.

It's amazing how ignorant some English pundits can be.

Italy - England final will be great if it happens.

And I can bet on Italy to win it all.

Belgium looked so poorly set up for that game. I was stunned how much time and space Italy had in midfield and yet when Belgium had the ball there was a big gaping chasm in the middle. Italy are a total surprise how good they've been and was wondering how they would stand up to a sterner test and they totally outplayed Belgium. Pretty disgraceful tactics at the end, never go behind to Italy in a KO game haha.

Do you know if was an ACL? You a doctor? physio? At the match? It looks like an acl.

You're just pissed you guys wasted your golden generation on a manager who's peak was Wigan!
Looked like a hamstring to me actually.

I’m pissed yeah, no doubt about that.

One last chance for Belgian in Qatar but they need to find some young defenders. Feels like the one year break to this euros wasn't good for them.

After that they'll have to significantly alter their starting line up so really end for this generation.
Nah they are already past it. Their apex was 2018, when they had Kompany and Hazard.
This is a declining golden generation. I'd be very surprised if they go past the quarters in 2022. It only gets worse after that unless they have two consecutive golden generations.
