Unless you get runs to the final like the past two tournaments which is near impossible then this England team aren't going anywhere fast or win anything

Don't underestimate the losing of this final, that squad may never ever recover from this
To be fair I think he's right, although for the wrong reasons.

England have a lot of players who could really make a difference, but as long as Southgate is in charge he'll act like the squad is only 13 players deep, and so we'll inevitable run out of steam towards the business end of tournaments.

He's playing innocent but he knew what he was insinuating...

"All too unbelievable in some ways, possibly."
Yeah, he's being all coy here, but he knows what the feck he's saying. Also said "are you asking questions?" when Shearer was speaking about their work rate. Emotion and bitterness getting to him. Knob

How does it matter? I just was asking the poster who said that England is the best place to host a tournament why he believes that.
How does it matter? I see you lost your excitement and passion, expected a few paragraphs how Germany and France deserve to host the biggest football tournaments much more than England, so it's natural that the latter don't win their bids as often as the former 2.

The tournament was not hosted by England and yes Wembley was always scheduled to have more games than other nations but it picked up one more because of circumstance. It was also the luck of the draw from the group because if we'd have finished second we would've had less home games. I've already told you why we're one of the best placed to host the games in this situation, read the post again. It's nothing to do with arrogance.
Wait, i don't get it. So you mean because there are 600k italians living in England, that England is the best place to host a tournament like this or what was the point? Do you even know how many foreigners live in other countries? Without checking the facts, i would bet there are more in France and Germany.

The english been singing that stupid song for decades and it's been heart break after heart break since

The empirical evidence is clear: you need to stop singing

Even Bonucci said that song spurred them on. Same as Schmeichel's comments on it.

Yet English fans keep denying it is not arrogant when all the proof is how it comes across to every other country

One flukey win in a group match and cue weeks of absolute morons singing and posting it over and over.

Not arrogant at all

Maybe because france had the world cup in 98 and Euro's in 2016, or that Germany had the world cup in 2006 and the next Euro's. Stop trying to make something out of nothing.

Great thread , exposing the haters.
You on Wales
You can also add that they are shit as well.
Wales once again
Wales were shite, wanna stick to rugby and one man and his dog.
You explaining why you were “hating” on the Scottish
I expect to get stick , it's what rivalry is all about. It's just a rarity being able to give it back so have to make the most of it. It isn't banter then though it's English arrogance.
Every Scotsman I know takes great delight in cheering Englands opponents in every tournament they have been in and thoroughly enjoy taking the piss when England get knocked out. As it is such a rarity to see Scotland even qualify for a tournament I feel I have to take advantage of this situation and revel in their failure as it could be a long time until the opportunity arises again. Yes Sir I can Boogie.
Come on mate, read these posts and then think about what you just said.

Can you dish it out but not take it?

Our fans saying the English are arrogant, when one of our most famous banners is "not arrogant, just better". The reality is glaring at you, ladies and gents.

What some of you think of the England fans is what the majority of football fans see you as a Manchester United fan.

You mean like United do every game even though they haven't won the league for ages

We have plenty of songs which are a lot more arrogant then "it's coming home"

Totally, really, yes. You got me.

You clearly can’t be English either as you wouldn’t know sarcasm if it hit you in the face judging by some of your replies.

I’ll leave the two of you running around defending everything now, have fun.

Wonder how that England fan who got the tattoo England Euro 2021 winners on his arm last week is feeling now. Least he wasn't being arrogant

Bayern Munich lost a Champions League final on pens (at home) and then went on to win it the following year. I read that they players used the 2012 defeat as fuel for the 2013 win.

A heartbreaking loss can make a team (or player).

It was a deserved outcome imo.

From the "it's coming home" chants, getting one of the easiest routes while playing the majority of games at home and even asking for Monday to be a holiday to celebrate the European win before the game even started. All of that showed a lack of respect for a team like Italy that made more than enough to be considered a serious challenger for the title.

I suspect that after all that bs, most neutrals are actually happy with this result. I am at least

Difference is a lot of us know that and accept it without crying about it

We know why City are looked on as the media darlings when they win trophies instead of us despite their oil millions.

I would put good money on the folk who claim England supporters are 'arrogant' are the same peeople who say England have easy draws. Themselves showing huge arrogance in not giving respect to the teams that England are playing.

Maybe that’s just bayern. They won the UCL a couple years after the 99 final.

Bollocks. I've seen countless threads about the refs, the FA, the media, the PL, everyone being ABU and how we are "hated, adored, never ignored". We definitely do cry about it.

Very arrogant of you to tell me to take a day off. I don't need too as I'm on a bank holiday. Thought you were getting one today too ?

What's sarcastic about you telling him to bore off? Not sure you understand sarcasm.

On both sides of this, you're the only poster that's replied with bitterness, made things personal and resorted to childish name calling. You've also been spouting shite about England on a largely English forum for the last 2 weeks and now think we're the ones with the problem? Have a look in the mirror.

You're on ignore now, so don't bother responding.

I've enjoyed reading this thread. No one is really in a position to laugh at England's loss unless Italian as they earned the right. Anyone else comes across as jealous and bitter which gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I enjoyed the game and am really happy at the progress we have made, 2 semi-finals and a final in the last 3 tournaments. The unbridled hatred it attracts is just an added bonus, a bit like being a United fan under Ferguson.
I hate to be that guy but Ferguson's United won a lot of stuff and that's why they were hated.

England right now is more like Ole's United :(

Why did it only become a problem 3 years ago? What is not arrogant for the previous 20 years?
