Haaland is the striker worth paying £150m for at this point.
Anyone paying more than £70m for Kane is crazy imo

Kane is obviously a very good striker playing a false 9 role. 100m+ is reasonable offer given the length of his remaining contract and also his age. Hazard went for 100m with 1 year remaining pre-pandemic.Haaland is the striker worth paying £150m for at this point.

Almost as if he did not just end the season as the PL top scorer againKane is obviously a very good striker playing a false 9 role. 100m+ is reasonable offer given the length of his remaining contract and also his age. Hazard went for 100m with 1 year remaining pre-pandemic.
Too bad he is not the shiny new toy named Haaland. I hope Kane got his move to Man City. Pep obviously knows how to use a false 9 in his system.Almost as if he did not just end the season as the PL top scorer again
But also you could point to Hazard as a reason not to spend 100m on Kane.Kane is obviously a very good striker playing a false 9 role. 100m+ is reasonable offer given the length of his remaining contract and also his age. Hazard went for 100m with 1 year remaining pre-pandemic.
I used Hazard as an example for the transfer fee with 1 year remaining pre-pandemic. Kane is a very good striker playing false 9 and i believe he is a perfect fit for Pep and Man city. I think it will happen. But also you could point to Hazard as a reason not to spend 100m on Kane.
I take your point, just arguing devil's advocate. I just can't see them spending that on him given the impact covid has had on finances (though granted city are better insulated from that than most).I used Hazard as an example for the transfer fee with 1 year remaining pre-pandemic. He did get England 4 goals often playing in an ultra defensive set up. He and Sterling practically carried England's attack with 8 goals between them. Under a better manager and with a better team he'll thrive. He'll also be manged a lot better at a big club and won't play when clearly injured. The Euros has knocked a significant chunk off his price. His World Cup performance raised a few eyebrows but this has confirmed it. He's not going to be the player that wins you the difficult games, and when you're talking 100m that's what you expect to get. He needs his pace to get away from his man for a shot, and now his pace is going he is quite limited. I hope we don't buy him and i hope City do, he will score plenty there but he won't win them the CL.
Publicly I think he's happy peddling the line that he wants to play at the top and win stuff, but tbh I think he's happy in his comfort zone and i'm certain he'll be at Spurs next season with the convenient excuse that Levy blocked a move. Kane doesn't have it in him to force a move.Mate, he’s announced he wants to leave.
If clubs still use international tournament for scouting (sample size of 8 games max) then they should fire everyone in their data department, and just use the data from FM to buy players. The Euros has knocked a significant chunk off his price. That's not actually what he said.Mate, he’s announced he wants to leave.
They won’t win the league without him. If they go this season without him or another top #9 they’ll be too 4 but not league winners.I think city win the league this year with or without Kane. So I'd rather them sign him than someone like haaland who would play for them much longer.
Still think Kane is a great player obviously but injuries are piling up
Who beats them? They won’t win the league without him. If they go this season without him or another top #9 they’ll be too 4 but not league winners.
Chelsea are the favs for me, if United get there targets in I’ll put them ahead too. Pool will also depends on many factors but I feel they’ll be too 4 but not win.Who beats them?
Chelsea won't win the league over City, no way.Chelsea are the favs for me, if United get there targets in I’ll put them ahead too. Pool will also depends on many factors but I feel they’ll be too 4 but not win.
There’s no ”no way” about it, Chelsea have a great chance.Chelsea won't win the league over City, no way.
Kane with glasses, doesn't look that odd actually.BREAKING NEWS
A clip showing a very current conversation between Levy and Harry Kane has been leaked:
True but the signs are ominous though. He is 28 and had been dropped back a fair bit last season. Of course, he will still probably be the best striker around for some time but it may not be worth the king’s ransom that Levy will demand - definitely not after Covid. He has made his bed with the 6 year contract and will need to sleep on it. No body is paying a high price for him unfortunately. He is one injury away from flushing all the investment down the drain.A lot of cognitive dissonance going on in this thread. People have accepted he's probably going to City so there's a lot of downplaying his ability and talk that he's declining. Madness in my opinion, he just had arguably the best individual season of his career.
If the fee wasn't so large he should go to Bayern Munich and score for fun there.True but the signs are ominous though. He is 28 and had been dropped back a fair bit last season. He's the opposite of a City striker imo.Where does he fit in the City system or for that matter United’s system? Both Pep and Ole like a striker with pace and going by the Euros, Kane seems to have lost some. I don’t know if he was playing with an injury or he was asked to not go full throttle or something else.
I don't think Kane is a Guardiola-style false 9. The problem with Kane is kinda like the problem was with Rooney - he likes to take up different positions on the pitch depending on the stage of play. He's used to starting moves from deep, then running forward and getting into the box to finish them. That's basically a fast-breaking counterattacking system. City don't play that way.Too bad he is not the shiny new toy named Haaland. I hope Kane got his move to Man City. Pep obviously knows how to use a false 9 in his system.
Disrespectful to the club IMO. Poor mentality. Now that's how you push through a transfer
I think thats the only power a player has when the club is trying to price him out of any moves.Disrespectful to the club IMO. Poor mentality.
Well then he shouldn’t have signed such a daft contract? I have zero sympathy or time for players who make those decisions. The time to leave Spurs was 3 years ago. He’s an idiot.I think thats the only power a player has when the club is trying to price him out of any moves.
If they genuinely had a gentleman's agreement and Levy fails to keep his promise, then I'm all for Kane acting like a dick.Disrespectful to the club IMO. Poor mentality.
I think circumstances changed within those three years. When he signed the deal the club was on an upward trajectory and the club sold him on an ambitious project which has since come crumbling down. You're right he probably should have moved last time, but I don't blame a 24 year old for believing Levi's ambition for the club, a club he loves. That illusion has now shattered though. If I were him I'd basically be done with Spurs too.Well then he shouldn’t have signed such a daft contract? I have zero sympathy or time for players who make those decisions. Dickhead move if he does when he's the one who re-signed long term the last time he had leverage for a moveWould be hilarious if he does that.
