Do you have to be an anti-vaxxer to not want mandatory, forced vaccinations?Guessing you're an anti-vaxxer judging by your last couple of posts?

I followed the conversation up to your post which implied all players are not vaccinated, without any data, news articles or information to back that assertion up.I doubt they are all done by now but your post smacks of reading a single post and replying without bothering to follow the conversation to get context.
It's weird how people are creating such a divide in society over vaccinations. You don't want one or you don't want it to be mandatory, you want there to be some form of free will? You're an anti vaxxer, you're a covidiot.Do you have to be an anti-vaxxer to not want mandatory, forced vaccinations?
?Fecking Lingard
So you read the first post which implied that very thing and was the premise of the conversation, did you?I followed the conversation up to your post which implied all players are not vaccinated, without any data, news articles or information to back that assertion up.
Yeah I wondered about this too. Given the many millions of pounds at stake, you would think the clubs would place a huge priority on vaccinating the squad members. On the other hand, maybe everyone is vaxxed, but these are breakthrough infections? Not great. Was curious but hopefully most or all of our players are vaxxed. Really shouldn't be having many covid issues this year (and we stayed clear of it last year really).
Oles first real positive test
Huge priority doesn't mean everyone gets it in time, and being vaccinated doesn't prevent you from getting covid and potentially passing it onwards.Yeah I wondered about this too. We obviously don't know the makeup of the infections...how many of these 9 (so far) are playing staff etc.Yeah I wondered about this too. That’s the least of my concerns, clearly one is player safety but also whoever has it is out of group practice for two weeksI hope they can get another game to replace it, just 1 more pre season game before the season starts isn't great.

We're two weeks, more or less, away from our opening match in the PL so the timing is shit
I guess I naturally expect the super wealthy to be able to find loopholes when its in their economic interest (and vaccinating asap would clearly be). That seems to unfortunately be the way of the world. But maybe you're right and the same limitations that applied to plebs also applied to the football clubs.I don’t know why people are assuming the players are double jabbed. Private companies can’t offer covid vaccines (as far as I understand) and most of the group are at an age where they wouldn’t have hit 8 weeks gap if they got it as soon as eligible.
If they did manage to get vaccines elsewhere, it would open up a lot of issues with vaccine passports and potential quarantines for European games.
It's almost as if there's been some major external factor affecting global society for the past 18 months. No no it's definitely planning that's fecked up our pre-seasons.Also it seems like every Summer under Ole, our pre-season have always been a shamble/ poorly planned. Something need to change.
Yes, we should have planned for players and staff not to get Covid. Also it seems like every Summer under Ole, our pre-season have always been a shamble/ poorly planned. Something need to change.
Nah I'd say it's pretty similar to the general UK population vaccination rate for that age group, which at a guess would be pretty high. Even look in the NFL. They've got pretty good vaccination rates baring some random teams.I’d say the opposite. I’d be surprised if more than half of the squad have been vaccinated. Could be several factors like vaccine availability for their age group, them being on holiday/at summer tournaments, as well as hesitancy; I mean most of these guys are quite young and active on social media, which is a cesspit of anti-vax shite these days.
Ole probably knew it would be off
NiiiceNot United's biggest fan, not even close but wish them a speedy recovery.
Read an Athletic article recently that the UK government is trying to get as many players and staff vaccinated as possible before like October.Players and staff have tested positive. Let’s hope for a full and quick recovery - clubs need to encourage their players to get vaccinated ASAP.
Most of the players should be back next Monday. That's around 2 weeks training.Arrange a game behind closed doors. Not ideal but we’ll have to find a way to manage. We’re already looking at using players for the Leeds game with just a week of training under their belts.
I hope this is the case. After a very long time i am excited for next season. Dont want stuff like Covid ruining it.The only bonus is most of our first teamers aren't even there?
Shaw, Maguire, Varane, DDG, Fred, Pogba, Sancho, Cavani
that's 3/4 of the team that hopefully won't be positive.
The biggest issue is many of these players are coming from holiday into the bubble - I suspect it's a recent holiday returner that might have carried it into the bubble?
The vaccine doesn't stop you getting Covid, it just lessens the symptomsNot sure why Manutd didnt vaccinate its staff and players? Almost all companies out there are offering it to their employees
Well it doesn't stop you from getting covid but decreases the chances to around 30%The vaccine doesn't stop you getting Covid, it just lessens the symptoms
The bad thing about this not only because players are tested positive but also because it affects players who are not tested positive. Majority our first team players are still on holiday, so the cancelation one of our pre-season match means it affects their preparation for our first league game vs Leeds. We know the last time when we only had 1 pre season match which last year and it wasn’t pretty how we started our season. If this happens during mid season, you would expect the match will be cancelled which is even for both teams. It's early days. It's not as if United are going to be the only team affected. Looks like most clubs will be impacted at some point to a lesser or larger degree. May be back to square one with the crowd numbers too.
