If I was Camavinga, I would quite happily wait until Jan and then move with larger wages and a signing on fee to whichever top European club I fancied. Why would he move now unless it's a sense of loyalty to Rennes to get them a transfer fee however small.

I'd love to see him in the prem, but the mood around this transfer doesn't seem as positive or as likely as others we've seen this summer, sorry but I don't think you're getting him, could be wrong though!

Camavinga should aim at a serious club whose got a reputation of developing kids properly. As SAF used to say, at age 18 a player should focus on developing his skills rather then make money. If he does the former then the latter would come flooding in later on. He should do his outmost to make sure that Rennes gets what their due. Its never wise to get a reputation as a mercenary especially at that age. Just ask the likes of Paul Pogba who really struggles to be taken seriously despite winning league titles and WC. Also a lot of things can happen in 12 months. Eduardo might pick an injury, a new kid can come in the block who would steal his thunder or more clubs can go bust as Barcelona did.

Now if there's no offer from a serious club this summer then he really has no choice but to walk on free.

If his club accepts an offer he'll move.
Even if he says "Non"...?
Camavinga holds all the cards, just like Pogba does now.
If he refuses to move, there is nothing his club can do about it, and he can just run his contract down, as we have seen happen with Ramos, Donnarumma etc etc.

He should go somewhere like Dortmund for his next move where he is guaranteed first team football.

Right! He’ll go where he doesn’t want to, to ensure first team football which he’s getting atm. Lower wages and actually he’s not guaranteed an automatic place because Bellingham is playing really well. He’d probably rotate given their ages.
If he’s that determined to sign for that shower at RM, he’d be better off waiting. Remember also they are a club that appear to be reducing their wages and staff not adding to it…unless it’s a stellar signing like Mbappe. It’s up to him of course but the better option is Utd over BD. It’s whether he can look past the ‘ dream’ move. It hasn’t worked out well for a shed load of youngsters

I will find it hard to believe Camavinga doesn't want to join Utd.Its all about Utd selling some players before they can afford to buy him.

25/30 million is his price, and Manchester United has to sell before they buy. Are we not biggest club in the world..??

we've finished the last few summers at least one player short each time, usually two or three

so it doesn't feel like the club operate with a mind-set of "it's only 25m more"... does it?

especially when we struggle to shift dead-wood

You've not been following the news then or aren't keen on how Utd operate
If he wanted to be here we'd have signed him by now. We already approached his camp(going by James Ducker, Luckhurst and French Papers) but got the message he prefers PSG/Spain
We never approach a club until we're SURE the player will say yes look at Sancho/Varane

We are but we are not reckless. We spend what we can without causing issue. We don't have unlimited money supply and we certainly don't want to end up like Barcelona

It seems like Rennes are planning ahead without Camavinga in mind, with their latest offer (€20m) for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez on the table, according to Mike Verweij.

Rennes also have a young DM coming through (Lesley Ogochukwu) who at 17 looks a very good prospect and will probably be given significant game time. I also don't think he'll have much issues adapting to the physicality in the first team due to him being around 6'2 already at 17.

They wouldn't be starting him if that was the case. I think he's overhyped personally.
Why? They hardly have a star studded squad. He’s running his contract down, of course his head is elsewhere.

There’s also the question of whether Garner is on the cusp of coming through for the first team by next season.

The audacity. The first line of the post you made that started this began:

"Guess people did not learn anything about the episode with Di Maria to still want Camavinga."

Almost like, you know, you can't seem to understand people have different opinions about the subject...
See, you are just proving me right about the lack of any resemblance of intelligence from you.

What is it with you and IQ?
In order to debate something with someone, or explain something, the other person needs to understand. You don't need intelligence to come wading in, but to have a discussion, sure you do.

But you’re literally doing the latter.

Where the grass is greener.
To be honest it's probably his management in charge of his insta isn't it? And all the reports seem to be its his agent trying to push this along in our direction.

He's coming home though, obviously.

I genuinely don't think he'd play much at any of the teams vying for his signature. Not with his current form.

He’d do well to better what Mct and Fred were at today but it’s all about keeping the unit fresh and rotation is key to that. Fred is pretty bad once he gets tired. He doesn’t have the off switch even if he’s second best to stuff. He keeps trying all the same stuff which is too much. When he’s fresh he’s everywhere and I feel like he’s less sloppy.

I want him here but I don't see him offering something we are missing - more just a young player with potential helping us improve on what we have.

Haaland did the same and he made the wrong move. He would have became a better player here not in Dortmund.

He would be training with better players at United in a squad aimed at promoting youth. This isn’t 2015 any longer. The old go to Dortmund trope is outdated now. Coaching setups change.

Remember their managers before were Tuchel and Klopp etc.

Haaland missed out big time on a move here and Camavinga wouldn’t find any better place either to learn his trade either.

Ronaldo didn’t do too bad joining us as a teenager all those years ago did he?

Haaland is really struggling isnt he. What an awful move dortmund turned out to be.

If your a young player, dortmund currently is a very good place to go to learn your tradex get first team football at a young age and CL experience. Bellingham turned us down as well, and its not going so badly for him is it?

Ronaldo joined under fergie, thats a different Utd to the one that exists now.
