Don't be stupid.

Criticism of McTominay can be rooted in his ethnicity. Just as criticism of Pogba can be rooted in his ethnicity. I've never suggested otherwise.

EDIT: sorry for telling you to stop being stupid. I appreciate that may not be possible.

This is ridiculous. It seems culture wars have arrived in the UK. McTominay would have been Loftus Cheek'd if not for preferential treatment because he's a local lad. The thing is, Chelsea don't tolerate mediocrity even if it's from their youth.
That's what I mean. You're criticising him for his background.

So what on earth are you even arguing about, given that that was the premise of the whole conversation you responded to?
About grow up, read the conversation before responding next time, weird guy.
"Neville is obviously a huge fan of Pogba's and has waxed lyrical about him dozens of time for every criticism. And even then, those criticisms have largely been warranted".

"You’re surely taking the piss, this conversation is pointless".

There's the conversation I was responding to.
You wanna try again?

I didnt like micah Richards much at the start but his banter with Keane and calling out the hypocrisy from Neville and co actually makes me like him more.

I think people pay too much attention to pundits. Why? They are paid to give an opinion. Doesn’t make them right all the time, no matter what they achieved
But that's the point. Most of us on here might not care but for the general public and larger audiences, they still have a huge sway.

Once you build a narrative, people love to parrot it. It's dangerous what they've done today and how they've shown they're so willing to shut down an open discussion with dissenting opinions.

To me, it's indicative of what goes on behind the scenes. We've long suspected it but this is pretty clear evidence.

He’s taking the piss by saying that Neville is a huge fan of Pogba. There’s no way that anyone can really believe that, hence he’s taking the piss. I even asked you if you believe that to be the case and you insinuated that you don’t.
So I’ll ask you again, what are you arguing?

 That's a perfectly reasonable take on the game. Pogba was, by turns, brilliant but also error prone.

Even Vieira agreed.
Vieira was just playing politics. Plus he doesn’t have an entire history of criticising Pogba like the other two do. The fact that Neville and Keane were slammed by fans for throwing Pogba under the bus when he’d basically been France’s best player throughout the entire tournament shows that they were just looking to single him out. Why is it that Pogba is called upon to be flawless defensively but no one expects Kante to provide defence splitting passes?

So you were arguing for the sake of it? Next time read the conversation before sticking your nose in and wasting my time. Weird guy.
Call me weird again and I'll report it.
I was responding to a point that Neville has praised Pogba as well as criticised him.
But you've ignored completely.
As i said, come back when you're a grown up.
As for the sticking the nose in, it's a public forum son, if you want private go DM.

Even simpler, there was a hurry from pundits, posters and others to not simply see a player getting tackled in the opponent’s half as a part of football, but some sort of huge individual error. But when a few of our brave Lions missed penalties just a week or so later, everyone quickly agreed that these things happen in the game and no personal blame should be assigned. Which of course is right, for the record, but the point is how easy it was to see that it was right.

Get a grip, you’ve told me to grow up, called me thick and now you’re crying over being called weird, all because you inserted yourself in a conversation that you lacked the comprehension to grasp. I’m actually going to stop responding to you as you asked because this isn’t going anywhere.

As you'll find with everybody you disagree with as there's clearly no accepting of opposing views.

I can have a perfectly civil conversation with anyone I disagree with, but you were the one who started with the insults, so I wanted to match your energy. Don’t give out what you can’t take.

I've had a barely minor altercation with a stranger on the internet. Hardly the stuff of nightmares is it.
Thought it was obvious that my comment was tongue in cheek - none of this is a big issue, I only intervened to set the record straight.

For somebody who's not responding anymore, you're doing very well.
Just wanted to reinforce @villain’s point. Insulting someone then threatening to snitch when they return the favour is the stuff of children. But yeah, this is a waste of time now so this really will be my final post.

I know, I know. I'm done now. It's been fun but I'm tired and its way past bedtime.

No hard feelings to both. :D

Honestly, I've just been taking the piss the last few posts. I didn't think you'd keep going.
No hard feelings man, I needed a vent but I've been banned from twitter again.

Or perhaps there's a reason that Loftus-Cheek has generally been out on loan at relegation candidates, and McTominay is coming off another solid season and another solid performance on Saturday for Manchester United.

I don't think theres that much "luck" involved at this stage in a career, that is down to application, hard work and ability to do a job on the pitch, it's as simple as that.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
There’s a pretty huge thing you’re missing here. Neville said until Kane didn’t turn up for training 3 weeks ago he was a saint. That’s bollocks. He’d already given an interview before Spurs’ final game during the season where they needed a win to qualify for Europe where he not only stated he wanted to leave but named his price. A price City then offered funnily enough. That’s fine according to Gary though - yet Pogba’s agent saying his client wants to leave isn’t. Hypocritical bollocks.
Pogba does this with a French Tv station, Neville would call him and Souness would have a heart attack….. again

On a scale of a crowd chanting ‘Harry Kane are you watching’ to select crowd members being held back as they attack a player with phrases such as ‘fecking Shite, feck off’ you’re placing a crowd in unison booing a player on the Pogba end of the scale.

You’re lost lad.
Did you not hear them chanting "you scouse bastard" or did you not watch the video?

The man said. . .

@tomaldinho1 You’ve pinpointed one, though I’d say questioning leaving us when we were floundering is hardly issuing a come get me plea.

Where are the other multiple times? They simply do not exist.
I think there were two where explicitly said it on France duty. Will have a think/google.

Did you hear what Old Trafford in unison used to shout at Wenger, you know in relation to young people? What, again in unison, they used to say about Lukaku’s manhood simply due to his colour?

Crowds chant all kinds in unison, Gerrard was called, ‘you scouse bastard’ at each bloody game again Pool - are we saying the United fans feel the same about Rooney as they do Gerrard?

Falling over yourselves to equivocate two very different scenarios won’t work with me lad.

I could give multiple examples of being on the crowd when players under perform & hearing murmurs of discontent, what I can’t give you is a like for like example of the Pogba situation.

Imagine a player getting 4 assists & his clubs ‘fans’ clambering to find other things to discuss.

There are as many people booing Rooney as there were booing Pogba.
On the face of it I’d say there were more booing Rooney but again, I’m unsure why it’s a numbers game. . .

One person saying something can be far worse than thousands chanting another.

See below. . .

I also remember him saying something like, he doesn’t feel comfortable at United in comparison to playing for France but him explicitly saying ‘I want out’ & on multiple occasions is another exaggeration his own fanbase appear to have drummed up to beat him with; days after he got 4 assists for the club.

You really couldn’t make it up.
Still can't find these "multiple times" he allegedly said he wanted to leave. He mentioned thinking about a new challenge after the fellout with the toxic one.

Really strange one from Neville. But then he's not been a very good or neutral pundit anyway. No wonder Keano is annoyed whenever he sees Gary.
