What is his contract status with RM? Why he is so desperate for Arsenal? 35mil is kinda decent, yet nobody else can afford him? I thought we were interested when he joined Arsenal on loan back in January?

His contract expires in 2 years' time. At this stage, 35 million Euros would be a good price for a team that wants a starting attacking midfielder, but most teams already have that sorted. I haven't read anything about United's interest in the past year or so. United never really pushed for Odegaard after he joined Real Madrid. At this stage, he'd be a very good backup/squad option, but 35 million Euros would be too much for that.

2 years i think, 35M is alright but he will have to show more than during his loan. He just wants a team where he starts 100%.

EDIT: More info
  • Roma accepted Milan's loan + purchase option for the transfer structure (Roma previously demanded a purchase obligation).
    • Price difference to settle: 500k Euros
  • Napoli and Lyon are also interested in Bakayoko.
  • Bakayoko's arrival doesn't prevent another midfielder from arriving.
    • Yacine Adli from Bordeaux still an option
  • Another new attacking player still possible (either winger or attacking midfielder)

£35m for a player that hasn't shown much is way too expensive.
Put him against Abraham's for example and you can see how much of a bargain Roma have got.
I know it's different positions etc, but Oodegard has shown far less promise than his hype deserves.

I thought 125m was the base price plus add-ons. They can't surely pay the same amount as Grealish and then just add some add ons on top of it. No wonder Levy is not picking up

He's shown glimpses at Arsenal, but their struggles have held him back. He looked way, way better in Real Sociedad, and I think Arsenal are willing to pay because of the potential (even if the hype has sort of died down). I still think that he can deliver, but Arsenal isn't going to be the club for him.

I think 35m for Odegaard is a fair price - he’d have been over 50m if a team tried this time last summer after his loan at Sociedad, let’s not forget that in the first part of that loan he was rated as one of the best midfielders in La Liga. He’s still only what 22 - one of Arsenal ‘s better signings in recent years in terms of value and profile.

I agree with you about Arsenal not being the club.

I just think that's too comfortable a club for him...lack of pressure to win anything...other than from select fans of course!
I think he only looked good at Sociedad for a month long purple patch, the rest he was similar to his level at Arsenal,

I'm not convinced.

He's decent don't get me wrong, but it's a lot of money for someone who hasn't shown a huge amount in his time in senior football.

Cherki could shag Juninho's wife, Aulas is not selling him right now  If he keeps improving, he's probably their next 50M sale.

Kane's not happy at all according to Burt:

This is going to get messy.

EDIT: Also, thanks to @Klopper76 for the above Tweet.
The media keep licking Harry Kane's arse. He went AWOL because he couldn't get his move, he was overseas when all England players reported for duty at their clubs and still the media keeps treating him like a saint. Unbelievable.

Our teams do not play for a little while, but we would appreciate you starting Phil against us!
