If i'm brutally honest, I've always thought at the back of my mind Ronaldo was the type who would do something like this but its you never say it out loud as its great to run with the Club Legend, one of the greatest played for us, rhetoric.

He knows his career at Madrid will always be his biggest achievement. The one the football world will remember most when he's retired. For that reason he would never join Barca and damage that legacy.

Sadly, I think we were just a stepping stone, as much as we did for him. He wants to keep winning and knows he is almost guaranteed that at City, so for him making the move is worth it, even if it pi**s off some United fans.

I never in a million years would have seen him working well with Pep but stranger things have happened!

He's like the anti-thesis of the typical Pep player

Let’s hope city doesn’t want to pay the transfer fee and the deal falls through.

Imagine he leaves Juve for City and Juve end up winning the UCL
Can we not at least imagine that he leaves Juve for City and United end up winning the CL. Hell, let’s beat City and Juve on the way too.

I hope he doesnt move to City; hes always said SAF was like a father to him and has never shown anything but respect to both him and United. It wont change my opinion of Ronaldo if he does but I'll be diasappointed in him.
He does appear set on leaving Juve.

Sigh. Perhaps the most likely alternative is for Mbappe => Madrid to go through, and then PSG swoop in for Ronaldo.

Probably the best move for both parties.

Cristiano never really brought Juventus to the level they were hoping to reach, and they didn't truly have the money to put the proper support around him to actually reach that level after that first season.

It'll be interesting to see who Juve pick up to replace his goals.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
If this actually happens, can we go back to "Ronaldo" meaning the goofy Brazilian?

The Portuguese chap can be C. Ronaldo or something you imaginative people can think up.

It could just be easier to refer to them as cnut and Ronaldo.

I just hope it’s all noise and we’re quietly working in the background to make him an offer.

Wonder if they'll do a Welcome to Manchester Siiiiity poster.

The good thing in all of this? Rooney might finally get more love from our fans than them fawning over someone who left years ago

Feel so dirty that I slept on the true GOAT of football out of tribalism in favour of Ronaldo.

Hope Messi makes him cry when City get battered by PSG in the CL.

Greasy prick.

I really want to know how Ronaldo-fanbois will take to this move. Obviously, it won't effect how they see him as the player - after all, one of the greatest of all time. But, in terms of supporting him after every goal he scores, what an interesting turn of events.

What will the reception be like at OT? Should be the loudest of boos imo.

I’m really finding it weird that people give a toss about it all. I’m looking forward to his retirement. He’s such a boring twat
If he's scoring a lot for them, which I think he will and if they end up running far ahead again - It's going to be a long season and we'll never hear the end of it.

For what it's worth (and it's more me praying at this point hahaha, pathetic I know) but

City are 1/3
and United's odds have shortened to 3/1

Can imagine how pissed he will get with sterling and co when they score instead of passing to him? He used to get pissed off with benzema if he didnt square it to him, sterling shanking the ball over the bar from 6 yards out will drive him nuts.

Thinking about it, the guy has always used us to get new contract and solve his problems at Madrid. Several times he told Mendez to go to media and report that he loves Manchester and wants to return then few days later he signs a new contract.

He really has never been as emotionally attached to us as people think.

He would never put United or his relationship with the club or fans above his own ambitions. He has always been this guy.
