My oh my

In addition to those listed, we have Cavani, Diallo(?) and Martial (:() in the mix offensively.
If Pogba leaves, it's time to give DVB some minutes, and/or promote Hannibal.

Let's go!!!

Why are you so sure Ronaldo would sign for 2-3 years? He's 36. Every chance it'll just be for a single year with the intention of signing Haaland next summer.

If we get him, it'll be 1 year with the option for another I reckon.
Why do you care about Glazers money? When a opportunity like this comes, you buy him.. sell Mata, Matic, even Cavani

I don’t think that makes sense as that is just deliberately making us look weak.

“Yeh we wanted him but he chose City instead.”

Setting up that narrative about our own former player would be bizarre.
Would you really put the Glazers above that? They might just want to cover these asses in case fans get angry.

I can see the excitement given it's fecking Ronnie, but I'm worried he just isn't what we need right now. We desperately need a DM and I'm worried signing him might prevent us from being in for Haaland next year which won't just be a one or two year stop gap like Ronnie is.

Its hard to overstate how much football romanticism is in this particular homecoming.

This is the type of move where I'm more than happy to forget that I'm a responsible adult with my own business, a house, people who depend on me and a woman who has to be seen in public with me occasionally, and absolutely lose my fecking shit in pure joy.

Ronaldo coming home to the Theatre of Dreams to round of his career is what should have happened with Leo at Barca. It's hard to overstate just how much this means to me as a lifelong fan of this club.
This. THIS. 100000000 TIMES THIS.

Greenwood
Cavani
Rashford
Sancho

Martial
James
Pogba
Lingard
Elanga

All can/have/could play off the LWF or CF.

Its a nonsense signing. It potentially stops minutes for younger players and wastes money better served being put towards a CM.
Even if he never played a minute for us, he'd be worth whatever wage he wants just to have those players in bold training with him every day,

United have forgotten what it takes to win. What better way to fix that than by brining one of the greatest winners of all time back into the fold?

City fan here - would you guys actually want to sign Ronaldo if he wasn't linked with City?

It feels like you're already loaded with players up top, and have a like-for-like stop gap goal scorer in Cavani already at the club. I can't see the sense in you signing him from a footballing stand point, who doesn't play to shoehorn him in?

City clearly just need someone to finish off the chances created and put it in the net, Ronaldo ticks that box for us.

Either way, comical transfer window so far.
Cavani can't play most games, so having two oldies would make sense. Also helps having another experienced winner in the squad.
That said, I wouldn't be singing his name.
