This is maybe the weirdest post I have read on the Cafe. In what world are Sancho, James, Pogba or Lingard forwards?
There is no way THAT is the weirdest post you have read on here when this very thread has someone saying Ronaldo is like a religion to him

Didn't expect us to even be in the race at this point a few hours ago, but despite what Stone says, I find it hard to believe City are out of the race yet. What they're briefing and what they're trying to do will be different I'm sure.

Not really as Cavani is going to be hardly available this season with his commitment to the Uruguayan NT. We will need to literally rely so heavily on Mason Greenwood as our only number 9.
I was thinking about Haaland next year as Ronaldo won't be signing for only a year (I think). But yes, for this season, Ronaldo is the best striker we could sign.

Funny how the media changed the narrative only after Oles press conference.

City had him then boom Now not interested.

Love all these made up stories.

So we're going after a 36-year-old striker last minute, but we can't strike a deal for a new midfielder for months and will be stuck with Fred? Brilliant.

Unbelievable. The reception he will get, Old Trafford will explode.

The same tweets keep getting posted over and over again and I don't care. It feels like Chritsmas when you keep hearing the same song over and over again.

Nah I disagree. Anything can happen in football. Injuries, suspension, fatigue. Squad depth is important the more quality we have in the team the better!
I actually want Cavani gone now since he chose to go another holiday.

I'm not sure quite where Ronaldo fits into our squad, I have concerns about our wage structure and should we really be signing players at 35 when...

Ah who am I kidding! It's f**king Ronaldo! I feel 16 again, not been this excited about a potential transfer since like, Nani and Anderson :D

I don't like Ronaldo but I'd rather not like him in a United shirt than a City one

Is anyone actually pleased that this is happening?

We don't need a 36yo Ronaldo. If he tarnishes his legacy by going to City, so be it. Why do we have to offer him a retirement home?
