I think Philipps is decent but we need someone more disciplined positionally Rice would be ideal for this current midfield.
Phillips is exactly what we would need in our current setup/formation as a rotation with McT/Fred and would fit right in. If we go 4-3-3 then your correct

I think James will go to Leeds even if Everton come in for him this late.. And I dont think we'll feck him over by starting any bidding war either.

@Rektsanwalt I consider this a very good deal, honestly.
Talk about a move destroying your career. I remember the summer before Liverpool signed him, several people were ravign about him on here as the next big thing, looked clumsy at Liverpool and now he moves to Norwich. Interesting to see how he does there as he will have a lot of defendign to do.....only really seen him at Liverpool....and he was bad

Ci siamo!
Cant believe we have got that much for him when he looks so so poor. For me its a good deal whether or not we reinvest the money before the window closes, Id put alomost every other option in ahead of him for us and lets face it we have loads

There have been certain less-than-reliable outlets claiming that Everton are looking to hijack the deal. That may be why Shrager got that bit of info from his source.
Does it mean Everton offered more money? Of course we need to sell to them if they pay us more

I do wonder if he would have ended up at us if Leeds completed the signing back then.
I don't think you'd have to wonder at all. I I can't see any chance we would have bought him from Leeds as if he did well they'd want more for him and if he didn't do well we wouldn't want him.

Everyone's reporting that the fee we'll get from Leeds is around 30m.

If Philips was included in some kind of swap they wouldn't be reporting the fee that way is what I mean.
I don’t think it’s true for a minute but James and £30m for Philips wouldn’t be far off a decent valuation.

Official: Ozan Kabak joins Norwich City on loan from Schalke with a purchase option.

According to Romano, the option fee is €14m. This is a solid deal for Schalke given their circumstances.

@do.ob @Rektsanwalt
Wasn't him highly rated about a year ago? Liverpool not taking the buy option and now going to almost certain relegated Norwich seems kind of underwhelming

Feel abit for Dan. He was only playing just yesterday for United and now he’s kind of being pushed out of the club. I guess he was told he is surplus to requirements and the fee is too good to refuse. Good to see he has ambition to play elsewhere though
He's going to be a permanent starter with the complete backing of his manager, a manager who had chaser him for some time. He's got much more chance to realise whatever his potential is there than here, and hopefully, the Leeds support will get behind him and allow him time to settle.

If he ventures onto social media, it'll be quite something for him to not be in the firing line every time he plays.

Once the dust settles, he might be relieved to be out of the intense spotlight and scrutiny of Manchester United and consider better to have left than have stayed.

The move to Schalke hurt his career more than the Liverpool move. He was pretty bad in a team that was imploding.
