That felt a couple of laps early to me. I guess they were worried Verstappen would pit anyway.

Norris and Perez the ones to watch for the last quarter of the race.

OK true, but they have given Lewis a slim chance of winning, before he had none
I think the idea to pit early was the right one, they just did it at the wrong time. This race finishes with Lewis pitting again and Max winning by 30s now I think

Yea Max had been told to pick up the pace so Merc didn’t have the luxury to wait any longer if they wanted to undercut.

At this point Lewis should just down the engine and follow Max to the finish line, it ain't happening today.

If Lewis could even catch Max he'd probably ruin that tyre trying to pass him and have to make a third stop.

He’s not pitting again, if you think him complaining about the tyres on the radio means they will pit again think again, he’s always complaining.

Hamilton really not happy with the tyre choice and letting his team know all about that...

He will for fastest lap if they can get him back ahead of Bottas.

I was thinking more that they might pit him again for fastest lap or something. He’s not getting close to the lead today unfortunately

People moan about radio messages too much, you hear from Lewis because he’s at the front. Everyone moans about tyres and his strategy now looks a mess.

Everyone accepts Monaco as a boring race, I really don’t think you need two in the calendar.

The thing with him is that he does talk a lot with his team. It is his way of dealing with the pressure.
If I was Lewis I’d be asking F1 bosses why do you only ever play my radio. Every driver communicates with it’s engineer and we have hours of logged recordings per race from all a drivers.

That has to piss Lewis off, his team wanting to call off the chase.

I understand the importance of getting the car to the end of the race, but that was only the 2nd time in the race that Lewis has looked like getting on the back of max

Funny no one at Sky has twigged the tyre performance thing they use is absolute bullshit and always wrong.

Like measuring the time with a sundial.

I say that, they probably realise and keep it just because it helps add drama where there is none.

The tyre performance graphic is one of the most useless things in F1.

Really poor race on a poor track, but it’ll stay on the calendar because of max

The guys on the wall and back at the factory will always have more info than Lewis, it's the right call today.

Yep, they deserve a race but this track isn’t any good for modern F1.

Next years cars shake it up hopefully.
