But on the other hand West Ham are at home to Leeds the week after and I know who I'd rather have for that fixture.
Exactly. WHU have a decent defense protected by Rice, and they generally sit back and play on the counter, which is a pretty good tactic to expose Leeds who throw players forward regardless.

Of course now I've gone on about this watch Leeds smash them 3-0 with a G+A for Raph and Bam.

This year's start of FPL been very boring, as majority of the people have similar squads and only difference whether you captain one or another big haul players.

At least in my private league we are only separated by a point or two. :D

Pogba is starting to look like a 9/10 million asset again and he’s most likely not going to get rotated whatever happens with the attack. I don’t have him but he looks like value. Food for thought.

Greenwood stays in. Can see him getting a big score against West Ham who’ll surely come at us.

Ronaldo is a lock.

Shaw will be a top asset if Maguire and Varane can get tighter. Im thinking the wide open midfield isn’t helping the clean sheet potential. I think a cheaper defender could do the same job for now though.

Watchlist: Guaita edourard and gallagher Marcal and Hwang, Tierney and Odegaard, Cucurella and Pogba.

Already used WC. Worked out fine. On for 70 points this week. Team pre-wildcard would have got 40.
Jota and Traore didnt work out.

But Jota has Palace next and Traore has 1-2 games v Brentford, Southampton to do something/anything.
56, two players to play, hoping for c70 and I’d still think it was a bad game week with the scores the big hitters returned

Good analysis. Pretty much agree with everything you said there.

I think Ramsdale is another for the watch list. Alot of new personnel in that Arsenal back line and already played 2 of the best teams in the league in City and Chelsea.

Any injured players worth keeping an eye on? Lamptey, Eze and De Bruyne are a few off the top of my head

FPL says Antonio - Suspended until 25th september (same day as their Leeds game)

So does this mean he plays the 25th?

Lamptey is currently a trap, class to watch his high energy game and in a solid back 5 going both ways but he’s always getting injured and he doesn’t seem to get many assists either. He’s permanently on the watch list but he’s never really caught fire enough to bring him in unless he’s a bench guy. Can find less injured players for that price/role

When do prices update on fpl? Is it a set time every day or do they update throughout.

He's going out for a Chelsea guy in my GW7 WC. Greenwood is taking corners from one side. But let's see, with Ronaldo our scoring potential has gone up a notch and from set pieces as well. Varane almost scored from a Shaw corner last game, so an attacking fullback in a free scoring team like ours who is also on corners and free kicks should usually be a great value for 5.5.

Definitely, when we properly get the defensive unit sorted, we can expect some double digit stuff off him like TAA has done twice this season with single assists.

It seems unfair that you have to pay extra for players when they go up in value, but don’t benefit from when your own squad players increase in value.
That's not true. If you bought Tsimi for 4.0 and his selling price becomes 4.1, you potentially make 0.1m profit. Don't you?

The selling price becomes 4.1 when the buying price becomes 4.2

Only 49 points with Pickford and DCL to play tonight, and had another average week before the international break so I'm wild carding next week, especially with Antonio out.
Not having either Lukaku or Ronaldo for this game week has hurt me big time.

Playing around with the team and came up with this below;

Ramsdale - (Steele)

TAA - Duffy - Alonso - Amartey - (Manquillo)

Salah - Pogba - Raphinha - Gray - (McArthur)

Ronaldo - Lukaku - (Broja)

I swear KDB has been injured half of his career at Man City!
I agree. Feels that for the last 2 years he's spent more time injured than playing.

Surprised he's price has only fallen by 0.1 despite playing no more than 10 mins football this year

Amartey is done as a £4m option. I know they're shit but Williams and Omiwhatshisface at Norwich are more nailed along with Livramento from Saints.

Too many question marks in defense. Are you sure Ramsdale, Amartey and Alonso will start consistently? Even Duffy once Lamptey is back. If you go down from Lukaku to either DCL or someone like Bamford then it gives you money to spread out in midfield and defense.

Not really. Defence is tricky especially if I try and keep TAA. Could maybe replace him with Shaw to free up more money for defenders who look more relibale to stay in the team than Amatery and Duffy. Wolves seem to have a few.
I want to bring in Chelsea defenders but picking someone whos locked in is difficult, though Alonso has been picked since the start of the season. With European games now during mid weeks hes proberly going to start getting rotated.

DCL could be a good shout as Lukaku alternative alright and it would help balance other areas of the team. Must see if he still keeps up his good form tonight and decide.

Wolves is definitely a good option with either Semedo or Marcal. Chelsea I would wait for another couple of weeks and bring in Rudiger. He is the least likely to be rotated in that entire back line. Sure Alonso or James might outscore him in certain games but I will take him consistently playing with clean sheets over the inconsistent fullbacks playing time.

I think Ramsdale might be fine? (cost them a bit)

Rumours on an Everton forum earlier that Calvert-Lewin might be out for a couple of weeks.
And he’s nowhere in this video.

Guess we’ll find out in 10 minutes

Ergh not great if DCL doesn't start but at least I have a clean sheet Livramento to come on, just in case.

That would be great! Benitez absolutely loves himself a bit of Rondon :D
