Conte is going to have his pick of clubs. Cannot see Utd scaking Ole, but I would rank his best options if they did as follows:

1) PSG (will finally get his unlimited budget, although would probably fall out with the DoF)
2) Real
3) Utd

Only issue with him at Utd is that apprantly his family never settled in England. First season at Chelsea they continued to live in Milan then in the second they apprantly moved back part way through once it was clear he wouldn't be there long.

I used to think this but it seems like it's actually just a story that's played up by the media because he's an intense guy. If you don't sell players he specifically wants to keep (hardly a crazy request) and don't promise him a player you can't get (again, not that crazy) he's fine.
It's not just media. He is hard work and never satisfied. High maintenance and then some.

Madrid will be the worst possible matchup for Conte. He is very combustible and Madrid is filled with grenades

A meteor will hit the earth and the only thing to survive will be Conte who will be screaming at his now very dead chairman “I don’t care if the club is literally about to go bankrupt. Buy me Victor Moses and make me snappy.”

No thanks, I’m sick of defensive football. We can’t keep changing styles every 2 years. If Ole is to go, we need someone to carry on what he’s done.

I despair when I see his name mentioned.

Negative football, loves old players, leaves in a tantrum within a year or two.

Mourinho was "a winner", until suddenly he wasn't. At which point all his evident flaws were no longer excusable. It isn't a quality you base an appointment on.

The things that make up a manager (the way they set up a team, the way they coach, their taste in players, their overriding football philosophy, their personality, etc) actually matter. If those details don't align with what your club & team need, "winners" will stop winning. And have little else to recommend them at that point. So opting for whoever happens to have won things in the past is a pretty braindead way to pick managers.

If we were to replace Ole then a mandatory requirement for whoever we bring in should be that they play progressive football, because that's what our squad is built to do. In fact the inability to make the most of it in that regard is what will see Ole struggle to get results himself.

The fans will go mad with this guy in charge, he plays football the same as mourinho but probably wins a bit more… we need to pick very careful when appointing our next manager, I’d quite like a German manager as they know how to play football the correct way. Attacking and adventurous. When I look at German games at the weekend some of there formations are mad attacking.

Conte is a fantastic coach. However, our transfer strategy has not been based in any way around 352. If we appointed Conte what would we do with all the inside forwards we have?

Square pegs for square slots.

He only wins when he's playing in 1 competition. When there's multiple on the horizon he chokes big time
Yeah because we’re totally dominating on all fronts.

The idea that we play some sort of discernible, extremely positive football that Conte is going to ruin is bizarre to me. It’s just lazy narratives.

He won the league and the FA cup in 2 seasons at Chelsea, and he became the first team to win the Serie A not named Juventus since 2011. He even came second by one point in his first season!

At Inter he scored 89 goals in 2020/21 (only Gasperini’s insane Atalanta side scored more - by one goal); and in 2019/20 they scored 81 — again, only Atalanta scored more.

At Chelsea in 2016/17 they scored 85 (only City scored more, by one). 2017/18 is the only blip —and that was the season where Costa and Willian were playing up.

He’s a very very good manager. Whoever gets him next will be a shoe-in for their domestic title.

I think COnte is a very good manager, the comparisons to Mourinho are obvious though, walks in with a winnign philosophy, plays defensively but very well organsied teams, wins trophies, has tantrums and leaves after a couple of years.

I think he is a much better manager than Mourinho has been since coming back from Madrid, but nowhere near the managerMourinho was before going to Madrid.

Either way, I like Conte....I just dont think he is the right manager for us, at all. Saying that I just dont see the right manager for us at the moment. We missed out big time on Nagelsmann, we missed out on Pochettino and we missed out on Klopp....all about timing and I just dont see the right manager at the moment.

I am not sure Ole is the right manager, I liek some of what he has done....but actually no I am pretty sure he isnt the right manager. One thing people arent mentining though so often. I think our coaching backroom staff is actually what needs changing more than the manager at the moment. We can lament Ole and his lack of tactical knowledge, but lets be honest, for all the personal and motivational strength Ferguson had, he wasnt the best tactivally either....but he had McLaren, he had Queiroz....and surprise they were there in the more successful spells?

And in UCL he was doing what?
He broke the record for the worst ever season Inter had in UCL

Yeah, let’s knock it on the head then. We’ve not won the league in 8 seasons. Not won a cup in 5. If a prospective manager isn’t coming here with 3 CL titles in a row, what’s the point?

You can't compare Serie A to EPL where you have 4-5 teams battling it out for the title

Conte is a friend of SAF. He learned from him and Lippi. He won in England. He is hothead no doubt but that is how he shows his emotions. Why can’t you guys agree he is what you need. Or is this one of your tricks “ criticise before he comes and give love and affection when he signs”.

Take him before it is too late because nowadays no one plays the game for long terms. Those days has gone fellas.

Mourinho was friends with Fergie. Mourinho had won in England.

It was an utterly depressing shit show. 8th in the league when he got fired.

I'd take a serial winner like conte for a few seasons definitely. With him in charge and with this squad, winning the PL and making CL final wouldnt be that unrealistic.

Also his double sessions of training would beast the players and really get them motoring.

4-5 teams are battling for the title in England? Last time I checked, City won 3 out of the last 4… with Chelsea and Liverpool getting one each and Leicester surprising the universe. Two teams are trying to challenge City more like it, and United/Spurs/Leicester et al certainly aren’t in that group.

Because Zidane is renowned for his coaching...
He’s not the perfect candidate by any means but he’s won more champions league trophies than our entire club as manager, and has managed Ronaldo and Varane. Might also convince Pogba to stay.

This is all fantasy talk though since we’re stuck with Ole for a few years at least.

What why you expecting from Mourinho. That is how he is. Conte on the other hand has something that Mourinho hasn’t, consistency. He keep wins until he got a lack of players he needs and that is something that Man United can solve for him. Man United are a rich club and spend money like water.
