To be fair to Ramsdale, he's still really young for a keeper, and did have a good 2nd part of the season. He was player of the year for Bournemouth, & player of the year for Sheffield Utd. Not really. They had two top keepers and one had to leave. Leno was their #1 and Martinez wanted first team football after being at the club for a few years. Some decisions are hard in leadership positions and there really wasn't a good reason to switch Leno for Martinez, especially after the former has been their best player for almost 2 seasons.

We could have had Martinez as our number 1 but instead we have Ramsdale.

Well as I said, some decisions are hard. At the point in time, there was no reason to drop Leno based on his performances. Martinez is a top keeper and obviously wanted first team football. Arsenal isn't the first and won't be the last club to have 2 first-choice GK's at a club. Utd has that problem right now. Don't for one minute think that Henderson won't leave if given the chance if De Gea remains the first choice for a long period.

I imagine many like the comfort blanket of being in a no lose situation (in a normal situation keepers never get blamed for letting in a pen even if it goes through their body).
