It's the most embarassed I've ever felt following United. We've lost heavily in the past to numerous teams, but losing like we did to Liverpool in our own back yard is a new low and a embarrassment that's unparalleled for me.

Fans are gonna blame everyone and their Dog for our issues at first team level. But like I've said in the recent past, we will need a new Manager/Head Coach if we want to challenge for major honours and become a consistent team both in attack and defence. I believe we have the talent at the club, both at youth level and first team level that a prospective new Coach will utilise for success. But sadly I don't feel Solskjaer has made best use of the personnel at his disposal and on top of his short comings on the training ground, things have exacerbated to the point where Liverpool have trounced us in our own back yard.

Its a very embarrassing trouncing but I'm very optimistic regards the long-term due to the level of talent we have in the youth and first team which isn't being utilised by the current Manager IMO.

I think the people that bring up Rashford being distracted off the field imagine all our other players go home and read a book for 6 hours and then go to bed every day as it literally never gets brought up for any other player.
It truly is mysterious why the young black players tend to get criticism for not being professional enough, not caring enough, having too much colour in their hair cuts, having a tattoo on their leg and what ever the dog whistle excuse of the week happens to be at any given time.

City supporting friends haven't even messaged after the game. That's how bad it's become.

Scholes said it perfectly and people were mad at him. If you have a first half like against Atalanta, with a team like Liverpool you will concede 4 and the game will be done at half time.

Always trust Scholes.
Not only that. He and Owen did the analysis before the game and they showed what we did wrong against Leicester and Atalanta and they said this was going to happen and to a dot it happened exactly as they said it was going to happen.

Liverpool comes to Old Trafford and sticks five in like they weren't even trying. What the feck, I'm fuming and depressed. I can't remember it being any worse than this, but looking at our upcoming opponents I can't see where the points are coming from.

If Gerard was still around they would have stepped on our throats.

I wonder if Klopp didn't want to make it too bad because he likes Ole keeping the biggest spending club in the league mired in mediocrity.
5-0 doesn't constitute 'too bad' and 'stepping on our throats'?

Yep, a mere 5-0 home defeat to our bitterest rivals will go under the radar mate

We need a new, more tactically astute management team. We seem to have gone as far with this one as we can. We spent £75m on a player we'd been chasing for 2 years and he's on the bench because we dont know how to integrate him tactically and he's not the only player in that boat.

The sad thing that anybody who watched prob noticed is that Liverpool never even got out of 2nd gear. They pretty much coasted all game and weren't even that great

If I was a Liverpool supporter I would be annoyed .They had a chance to really humble us by hitting 7,8, who knows but they settled for a measly 5 nil.
City & Chavski won’t be so soft.

I mean there are people criticizing every player all over this forum I'm sure there are some racist elements to it, but what he does do draws extra attention because it's politics so naturally people are going to criticize it.

Personally I don't care, it's his life and there are obviously players in the squad focusing less on football than he is so they should be criticized worse

Will Lukaku be back for the game against Chelsea. If it is still Ole I would imagine he would like to prove a thing or two.

They could have easily scored 5 more and set a new PL record if they wanted.

I've seen a few posts saying similar, but Liverpool did try to score more than 5... remember the wonder save from De Gea from Alexander-Arnold? That would have made it 6.
Then you had further chances... the free-kick on the edge of the box from Salah, a shot from distance from Oxlade-Chamberlain etc.

They definitely didn't settle 'For a measly 5 nil'

Probably Klopp told them it is only 3 points and they are not going to make a come back and if we score too many, they may sack him and get a competent manager and then we will have to contend with City, Chelsea and United. Now we have to deal with City and Chelsea only.

Having time to decompress and give some real thought to what I watched earlier.

1) Shaw had his worst game in a series of games where he looks tired and a step slow.
2) Maguire looked in his head and completely out to lunch several times.
3) I like McTominay but if he is our answer at midfield starting against Liverpool?? He looked average today at best.
4) Fred runs ragged and had the best game of all our midfield and that’s saying nothing.
5) our attack is predictable and not what this team should be doing. If we can’t defend then why let our ends go so far up the field. Teams bait us into this and then attack us and wait for our mistakes.

Ole Needs to go. He is too nice for this job. Bring in Zidane for the season and look at Southgate after the World Cup.

This would be a real depressing low point, perhaps the lowest in 30 years or more. But I felt worse after the Leicester game. That’s when my spirit gave out. I fully expected to get beat heavily today so I’m not as upset as I ought to be. It just confirmed what I had started to realise - we need a change. The cumulative weight of poor form and bad results has passed the tipping point.

Worst I've ever felt at Old Trafford. I felt defiant after the 1-6 to Citeh. This felt so different. And you could see it coming too. Worst part is there might not be any consequences. Where exactly are we headed? What's the point of what we're doing at the moment?

Ronaldo is probably regretting coming to us. He had overestimated Ole’s ability to turn things around. I’m hoping he spearheads the campaign (if there is one) to get Ole sacked.

Seriously, it is blindingly obvious. When Ole said something had to give last week I had hopes we were going to try something new, not just swap Pogba for Rashford.

They could have but what difference does it make? Is it less embarrassing this way? I really don't think so.

Bore off.

We've just been slammed 5-0 at home by our biggest rivals.

That is an absolute disaster in itself. End of story.

Exactly. Such a weird angle.
We lost 5 nil, but it could have been more. As if to say THEN it becomes a problem, as if 5-0 wasn't already a huge one.

Couldn't believe it as it unfolded. Every worry before the game turned out to happen. Slow and hesitant build-up play, no defensive organisation, zero control in midfield, clumsy errors in defence leading to goals and then end it off with absolute apathy from the players exeplified in Pogba getting on to save the team and instead get send off.

My biggest worry isn't our tactics or lack of. It is the manager's abaility to motivate and put the players in the right spot before a match, when we time after time after time start matches very slow and unfocused.

This was unforgivable all the way from the manager to the players. Something must be done from here on.
