I think you misunderstood the rules1. Goldeneye
2. Mario Kart
3. Tekken 3
4. Tony Hawk 2
5. COD Black Ops Online
My type of games are very multiplayer
What a great era!I'm not mentally prepared for Round 3. Just 2 games from this list will make it in(and I've probably omitted at least another 10 great games):
Ocarina Of Time
Majora's Mask
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party
Goldeneye 007
Perfect Dark
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Super Smash Bros.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
1080 Snowboarding
Banjo-Kazooie
GTA
GTA 2
Final Fantasy VII
Metal Gear Solid
Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider 2
Resident Evil
Grand Turismo 2
Silent Hill
Tekken 3
Crash Bandicoot
Spyro The Dragon
Kick out Metal Gear. It'll be easier to include it in PS1 gen!1. SMB3
2. The Legend of Zelda
3. Mother/Earthbound
4. Mega Man 3
5. Metal Gear
Didn't have atari, and while I enjoyed Alex the Kidd and have the tune stuck in my head often enough I can't push any of the current ones out of the list for it.
Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest laid good foundations for games to come, but neither are games that are as enjoyable to play today as the other 5 who made my list are.

Same, never knew Altered Beast, Road Rash or Streets of Rage were also on Master System.Every game I've thought about picking for the mega drive is already being mentioned down here. Never realised so many of them were out on the master system,
It's bloody impossible. Swap out Final Fantasy, Conkers and Tekken for Driver, Time Crisis and Jonah Lomu Rugby and you and I have the same list pretty much.I'm not mentally prepared for Round 3. Just 2 games from this list will make it in(and I've probably omitted at least another 10 great games):

Can't. Disliked the MGS games in general.Kick out Metal Gear. It'll be easier to include it in PS1 gen!
what a list!
That would have made this contest never endingI think it should have been split by console for the most part, with a generational cross-party choice as per.
Deserves its own thread.Anyone that knows some of these games stem from arcade games, how old does this thread make you feel?
The fact there’s not even an arcade round!
*yells at cloud!
I'm kinda surprised that there are people who have never played NES or SNES games. Really? You haven't played Contra or Super Mario or Double Dragon or Galaga etc? These games went around for ages, I started gaming in the 90s but I still had NES consoles and played those games to no end. And they went for quite a long time before future gens/PC completely took over. Heck, I still feel like playing them from time to time using an emulator.Anyone that knows some of these games stem from arcade games, how old does this thread make you feel?

Yeah, I just assumed everyone would have owned the NES consoles at some point.I am surprised that people haven’t played them via emulation, at least, tbh.
But I guess the appeal of 8-bit tech, if you’ve never invested time in it could be seen as a bridge too far.
I missed out on the initial run of Vice City, and tried to play it after playing San Andreas, but the controls were so retrograde, I couldn’t do it, so maybe that’s similar for people going back too far in time with some games considered classics.?
I also advise changing Earthbound to Earthbound Beginnings (the name it was given in the Wii U update)@Dirty Schwein
Updated my list. Willow on at 5th.
I said Alex Kidd not Pillow@Dirty Schwein

Hello there!No-one else loved Duck tales then?
I never played it, but I love this:No-one else loved Duck tales then?
It was, although not nearly as good. The issue with this generation (and Wii U) is that a lot of the best games were done better with the follow up consoles.Aladdin was a hell of a game, but I have it on my list for the next round.
Was it around this early?
Dozens of usHello there!
I thought the same. I’m of an age where I remember constantly nagging my mum for 10p so I could go and play Pac Man, Green Beret or Paperboy. Or even better, that old vector graphic sit down Star Wars game. Some of my all time faves are from that era. Completely limited in comparison to Gen 4 gaming but the impact they had on me was immense.Anyone that knows some of these games stem from arcade games, how old does this thread make you feel?

Streets of rage 1 and 2 were both playable on the master system and the mega drive/genesisStreets of rage is a Round 2 game (mega drive) and Aladdin too I think?
