That spurs team had a great shape and worked really hard. He did a similar job at Southampton.
So scary but possible...I genuinely wish I could fast forward to the appointment after the couple of seasons wasted on Pochettino but knowing our board it'll probably just align nicely with fecking Southgate finishing up with England.
Never happened. Klopp also never lost 7-2 to Villa last season.
Basically a Sainsbury's David Moyes. That spurs team had a great shape and worked really hard. He did a similar job at Southampton.
Nope.2.05 ppg for Tuchel, 2.08 for Pochettino, that's negligeable. When you look at the teams Tuchel had to line up at the beginning of the season because of COVID, no he didn't do a worse job.
You should totally get a new hobby.I've given up hope of ever seeing us have a top quality manager again, the fact the club has such a boner for Pochettino and seriously considered Rodgers killed any remaining belief I'll see United be anything but inferiors to City and Liverpool for at bare minimum another decade.
Not even the 'Be good to yourself' range.Basically a Sainsbury's David Moyes.
Mmm I would love for us to be total shithouses when we play City. I just hope Fernandinho is on the pitch to cry about it.His teams are usually dirty too, maybe he will teach our players how to do tactical fouling.
Fair pointNuno Gomes failed too. I don’t think building a strong team at a dysfunctional club like Spurs is as easy as people think.
Watching Football isn't a hobby. You should totally get a new hobby.

Uh?Fergie’s side never took a hiding.
Didn’t Pep once get twatted 2-5 at home to Leicester?
And Klopp lost to the same score line last season vs Aston fexking Villa
we don’t need to “get back” into the top 4, but a manager who picked up 85 points for fecking Spurs could improve on that here. Improving on 85 points gets you close to a title challenge.Stabilise the club, get us back in the top four, but ultimately not good enough to challenge the top dogs.
Yeah was 4-1 at Boro in Oct 2005 and led to Keane's infamous MUTV interviewUh?
6-1 against City, 5-0 against Newcastle, I think we even got battered off Middlesborough once. Not sure if that was sarcastic, I don't want to be that idiot who sees an online joke going over his head but we got plenty of a drubbing under Sir Alex.
Well yer are.. obviouslyUh?

I think on your last point you probably will be surprised about how much better of a manager he is than Ole. I still love Ole to death as a person but it is like comparing a League One manager to a Premier League manager.Fair point
Dont we desperately crave a lot more though? What Poch offers sounds worryingly like what Ole offered to me, and the stick a lot of people used to beat Ole with

For what it’s worth I do think he’s a better manager than Ole. I just struggle to get excited by it.
Don't be mean, I put a disclaimer which means it is fine. Sort ofWell yer are.. obviously
Maybe we did go all in for him but got the impression he wasn't keen enough to take the jobI’m gonna assume Ten Hag was a no go. After him I can’t really think of a better choice. Looks like there’s a lot of smoke coming out suddenly.
Not really.I don’t rate the job he did at Spurs that highly
I’m pretty sure most managers could take a top 6 side and make them a top 4 side if you give them a 30 a season striker
I'd go with that, too.Rangnick interim then Ten Hag easily
Which would you choose between:No, Ten Hag is my top choice. But I still think Poch is a good choice.
2 managers since Pochettino have tried and failed to make them a top 4 team alreadyI don’t rate the job he did at Spurs that highly

Yeah I think so too. Sounds like we were even prepared to employ a 6 month stop-gap while we kept his seat warm, but if he still wants to remain with Ajax even after that then fair fecks to the guy. You move on.Maybe we did go all in for him but got the impression he wasn't keen enough to take the job
Yeah fair points thereNot really.
1. He made them a top 4 side in 4 out of 5 full seasons which is far beyond what Spurs achieved before or after, if it was that easy they'd have done it before him and they'd be doing it after. United have regularly finished outside the top 4 in the last 9 years despite spending a fortune every summer, Liverpool pre-Klopp were in and out of the top 4 for years (mostly out). Arsenal have been out the top 4 for years.
2. His best season was 2nd place with 86 points - that's a step beyond scraping a top 4 finish.
3. Reached a CL final, again far beyond what people thought was possbile for Spurs.
4. He wasn't "given" a 30 goal a season striker. Kane was playing on loan in the championship until he was 21. Poch brought him into the 1st team, you make it sound like he was gifted prime Aguero for £100m.
5. He did all this with the net spend of a midtable team.
It's not that I have no doubts about him, but you have to give credit where credit is due.
I think the problem with waiting for Ten Hag is that it could end up putting us in a bad position.Maybe we did go all in for him but got the impression he wasn't keen enough to take the job
There must be a better interim than Ragnick... more I learn about him, more he seems a bit exaggeratedThe longer the caf goes without a "Poch-now-vs-Ten-Hag-guaranteed-at-end-of-season" poll, the more the Glazers get to feel 'Poch now' must be good enough.
I'd go with that, too.
Which would you choose between:
1. Poch now
2. Rangnick now and Ten Hag guaranteed at the end of the season.
Do you think you could give them FIFA player card-type scores? (AKA ETH 90, Poch 86 that sort of thing.)
Option 2 definitely but don't think it's going to happen with so much Pochettino noise todayThe longer the caf goes without a "Poch-now-vs-Ten-Hag-guaranteed-at-end-of-season" poll, the more the Glazers get to feel 'Poch now' must be good enough.

I watched that live. Painful match.Yeah was 4-1 at Boro in Oct 2005 and led to Keane's infamous MUTV interview
Yeah was on Prem Plus in those daysI watched that live. Painful match.
Insert any non-ex-United player interim of your choice. There must be a better interim than Ragnick... more I learn about him, more he seems a bit exaggerated
Even Tuchel didn’t look like a top manager at PSG.Yeah fair points there
I don’t necessarily agree with everything you wrote but I was being a bit harsh
What about his time at PSG? He hasn’t exactly impressed there has he? Are people not worried he might not have that big club mentality in him?
What a rip off that was!Yeah was on Prem Plus in those days
If Ole wasn't a former United player, he would've been let go 3 times before he was eventually let go.He's like my nightmare for a manchester united manager.
Look at the way the club was desperately hanging onto Ole as he went one low to another. He'll probably be too good to actually to sink to the depths Solskjaer had to get himself sacked. So we'll be stuck with him in 3rd-4th place for 6 years, with nothing else to show for it.
They did, it was shaped like a huge bottleThat spurs team had a great shape and worked really hard. He did a similar job at Southampton.
They did, it was shaped like a huge bottle
He got 86 points for bloody Spurs, with a pretty crap wage and transfer budget. You don’t think he has potential to improve on that haul here? He's like my nightmare for a manchester united manager.
