Still can’t believe we got Rangnick. Not because it was close to impossible, but because of the incompetence of the United board and all their mishaps in the previous years. I truly thought they were going to make another one by overlooking Rangnick by not even considering him due to whatever ‘favourites’ they had preconceived and lined up — to my surprise, they proved me wrong. And wow was that unexpected.
…..the most progressive football mind available (one of the best in the world in general), his opening press conference gave us all an insight of who he is and what to expect. When he speaks, he takes control of the room. His answers are to the point, offers some insight, with a touch of humour while doing so with outstanding charisma. He owned the press conference and took command of the entire room. Expect the same in the locker room with the team. There’s something gravitating about him for us outsiders so as a player, you know they’ll be absording

I know there was all this talk about Rangnick and Ronaldo "clashing" before he arrived here, but I think Ronaldo is probably going to love him tbh. If his pressing style doesn't fit Ronaldo, then absolutely everything else about his expectations, work ethic, and team philosophy absolutely does.
What difference can we expect to see with it being just him on his own coming in?

Really like the drill of having to shoot within 10 seconds of winning the ball. I can see how that engraved a habit in their minds which would be reflected on the pitch.

Much more organization and a general plan for the players to help them control games better. We have the players and should climb up the league with the right guidance

I’m started to doubt the wisdom of a “philosophy” driven, nuanced coach getting the manager gig for just 6 months.
The players are going to experience a shock to the system under Rangnick, one many of them won’t be happy about - how many of them will buy into of his methods knowing he’s only going to be there six months?
It's gonna be a tough task to teach our players to have the control over games Rangnick is talking about and not just because of lack of time for training.
Looking at the fixtures though, there'll be a couple of good breaks in January. That's gonna be his best bet to tactically drill the players to the approach he wants.

Yeah at least the fixture list looks somewhat favourable until we play Spurs at home in March, obviously facing a crowd at Elland Road for first time since 2003 will be hostile for us.
He’s not here for six months, he’s still going to be involved for at least another 2 years after that. He also will have a big say in his successor, which will ideally be someone to continue where he left off.
Then those who's professionalism comes into question, should also think that Rangnick is going to consult the club on current and future players. Those who can't play for this manager, won't be playing for the next at United, they'll be being shown the door.
Six months as an interim manager and two extra years as a consulting detective. He's going to have major influence in who manages next. Obviously the next manager (or even himself, possibly) will line up to continue the work he implements in this period.

He talks a good game. I like how open he is when it comes to talking about his approach and the issues he’s seen in our football.

It is important that he finds a way to pick up some wins, in whichever way, in the next 5-6 games. That will give him the breathing space to implement his ideas without each and every action of his being scrutinised by the media and fans.

These Evra quotes about Rangnick have to be some of the most stupid quotes I have heard these years. I bet these bollocks was said by him just because Ralf is coming after an ex legend who had been sacked.
I don't think LVG was a necessarily bad coach for us, but he was a bad manager. Poor signings, poor man management and the unwillingness to work with what he had.
Rangnick has the media capabilities and tactical insights of LVG, but he also has had successful director of football experience and is a more subtle man manager. The things that led to LVG's failure aren't issues that Rangnick has.
