Man if he'd been able to apply himself consistently, what a player he could have been. That first season he was just so, so exciting to watch. I struggle to think of a player who regressed so much by his age, without a concrete reason to point to.

As Things stand he hasn't even reached the Anelka level of mercurial, edge of your seat type inconsistent forward man. These days he's just boringly ineffective. I used to think that was the least he'd achieve.

Shame. Hope it works for him at a smaller club.

We all love United
Was watching United’s highlights against Norwich two seasons ago which was recently put on youtube and Martial was great that day. He could have been such a good player if he sets his mind to it

Can't wait to see the back of Tony. He should never have played again for utd after the Sheffield utd game last season. The effort he puts in is a disgrace,if out of form,at least work. Any other form of work,he'd be sacked or fined.

To be honest both United and Martial are equally responsible for this. We have mismanaged him and he also didnt made the best use of his talent.

Its time to go and hopefully he can find form in some smaller team. Should be allowed to leave considering he wont play for us realistically. Best wishes to him. Just hope he doesn’t do it for one of our rivals.

God given talent to play the game, could have been one of the best players in his position in the division but doesn’t have the temperament to play at the highest level. At this point it would be good for both parties if he was to find a new club, hope we can get a good price for him which might be hard considering his big wages.

Seriously send on loan to west ham, it did wonders for lingard and talent wise martial has it in him to be a level above lingard.

Maybe a new club for him is best for him & UTD, let's just bring in Haaland to replace him. :)

If Arsenal sold Iwobi for 35 million, we should sell Martial for 50 million
No, because Martial is on insane amounts of money. It's not just about a fee, it's about the overall package for a club. Martial is an extremely expensive commodity overall.

We'll get very little for Martial as he's undesirable. He's a big financial risk for a club. They're really just hoping they can rekindle him but there's no recent form.

Also, just because Everton did something stupid it doesn't mean it's repeatable. We've probably already tried to move Martial.

I remember saying when we got him that he will look great when he's playing well, but terrible when he's not given his style, and I've got to admit I've grown tired of his overall lazy demeanour now, even though I don't doubt his talent, he's just tiresome to watch.

But don't see him leaving at all in January, do players ever after agents spouting off like this.

Glad fringe underperforming players are leaving. With the likes of Amad and Elanga coming up not too worried.

Very talented but unfortunately doesn’t have the brain and application to match it.

Good news. He has a horrible attitude and is lazy. I don't care how much talent a player has if they don't have the mentality to match.

Ralf Rangnick.
Says it all that he wants to leave when the new manager has only just arrived.

I hope our young players take a long hard look at Martial.

He's living proof that all the talent in the world is worthless without the application to match.

Hope this means he's ready for the pay cut then.

Waste of talent. One of the worst on pitch attitudes I've ever seen.

Had high hopes for Tony and backed him for much longer than most. It’s a shame he’s let his talent dwindle.

All he seems to be good for these days is drawing fouls. Would probably be an asset for a team who bank on set plays because of that.

He's had some brilliant moments at the club and has undeniable talent. I've always felt as if he has been our Berbatov 2.0...decent football mind, great footwork, and technical ability but never could fit the full time role. Unfortunately, he never recreated his 2019-2020 production and had Cavani and Greenwood waiting to push him out of the starting role. I think the best thing for everyone is to move on.

I think he would do fine in Spain, he's got technicall ability and I can see him doing well for a mid-up table team there. Something like Real Sociedad, Betis, etc

I respect the fact he’s after game time, in fairness. When wasters like Lingard have actively sought to sit on their arse for another six months then it’s difficult to knock a player for moving when they’re clearly in need of a fresh start.

I am uneasy about our striking options, though. If the 4222 is going to be a thing, then we need four quality strikers. Only Ronaldo, Rashford and Greenwood will be here next season at this rate.

Whats he on, like 250k a week? As much as he had promise, how the hell did he deserve that kind of contract. Our club is so stupid with wages.

Ralf Rangnick.
Let's see if he puts his money where his mouth is. If so fair play, but I highly doubt it. It'll be Newcastle on the same bloated wages or bust.

Who is going to pay this lazy cnut 200k a week? Not exactly the type of player you want to fight you out of a relegation scrap either i wouldn't go anywhere near him if I was Newcastle.

Another bang average United player on 200k a week.

It's a shame we won't get to see what a manager with real tactical wisdom like RR can do with Martial. He is a very talented player, but he was not really used in his best position for us, and he seems like a player who falls apart when confidence is low. I think RR could have really changed his style of play and could have gotten a tune out of him.

Oh well, best of luck.

whatever talent he has on paper he hasn't shown it on the pitch for a long long time. To me seems like he doesn't have enough drive and also determination to improve and become better on the pitch. His off the ball movement is non existent either.

I would assume Newcastle need players with "street fighter" mentality like Teves for west ham back then or Suraez/Cavani to save them from relegation. Not a laid back player like Martial.

Disappointing with how it looks to be ending and didn't hit the heights that could have been, but that is sport for you.

Needs to leave and find consistent playing time, which should help his form providing he stays fit.

It is a World Cup year, so he and many other fringe players with international teams will want to ensure that they can play most weeks. This goes for Henderson too, more than Pogba and Lingard who are free agents in 7 months

We need to offer him a big fat contract or we'll have another Pogba situation on our hands. Honestly, this club hangs onto oldies like cavani but let's talent like this leave?!

That is unfair to Cavani. When MU extended Cavani's contract in the summer they had no plan to sign CR7. Now Cavani is redundant because of it and not Cavani's fault.

I think some UTD fans still love Martial mostly for his outstanding debut match (I think) against Liverpool & his early days at UTD were really good, but I haven't seen him do too much in a UTD shirt for probably over 2 years now, yeah I know he has been injured a lot but even so.

How is Cavani redundant? We play a 2 striker system with Ralf and Ronnie + Cavani up top was Ole's best recent game. I'd play them together whenever fit in Ralf's setup, then part ways in the summer.

With Anto and Cavani leaving we will need a replacement.

Fine, your job is to get us an offer correspondent to his wages.
