Felt like Ole was our manager still. Contol in the second half of the first half. Second half performance was terrible though.

Rashford and Bruno dont know how to play in a possession team. They can only play so far in a counter attacking team where you have loads of space.

Most worrying. Wonder what Rangnick will say in his post match presser.

Another stale and uninspiring performance. We are in such a weird period that as a fan it is hard to blame anyone... Can't blame new coach as he is still fresh and coaching stuff is old crap. Can't blame the players as there was no time to adjust to the new manager and coaching stuff is still crap.

Weird... But evident that there are no improvements so far. I will be patient. This is still very, very poor.

The one thing I think Ralf will be disappointed with each game so far is our constant knack of fecking about with it at the back... It's clear he wants us to clear it and press from the front.

Small margins as Solskjaer would say. Can especially thank Degea for the win.

That less than convincing performance by United against the worst team in Premier league highlighted further the big task ahead for Rangnick to get the best out of this inconsistent group of United players.

Awful performance and a lot of work required on training pitch to get this team playing cohesively. Being badly let down by atrocious passing, RR needs to seriously drill this team to mentally wipe out the last 3 yrs of non-coaching they've had.

Rank poor performance from the team today, yet we grind out a 1-0 win thanks to a Ronaldo penalty and some great saves from De Gea. In stark contrast to last week there was no control and no press, we invited so much pressure on to ourselves and the attack was even worse. Both Ronaldo and Rashford were sloppy, Bruno and Sancho frustrating.

We’ve got through it but I expect Brentford to give us a torrid time unless we get our act together!

Brentford (A) on Tuesday will be another slog. It's inevitable. If we can pick up wins and get clean sheets for now then that's fine. I actually thought we played okay today but individual carelessness, probably due to tiredness, ruined a lot of potential scoring chances.

Dalot, Ronaldo and Bruno were pretty dreadful for the most part. Rashford looks all out of confidence. Fred and McTominay imperious, De Gea very solid again. Well done Ronnie for the pen, best wishes to Victor and hope it's nothing serious.

Rangnick so far doing his best Thomas Tuchel after Lampard impression, except that he unluckily got Carrick between him and the shitshow so he isn't being made to look good...

Really bad performance... but back to back clean sheets is big, and got the win. Expect huge improvements in the coming weeks.

The attack was awful. Sancho individually probably our best in the front 4 as he at least didn't keep giving the ball away like the other 3. Fred excellent. Dalot very good, definitely like him more than Wan Bissaka. Telles solid but unadventurous. CBs decent enough. De Gea obviously motm.

Got the win, but that was absolutely awful.

Bruno, rashford and Ronaldo were dreadful, the defence and midfield were doing there jobs for the most part, but everytime it went to one of those three they were dispossed and gave the ball away.

What on earth is going on with our passing play in forward areas?

Ronaldo, Rashford, Sancho and Bruno seem 50/50 as to whether they'll find a red shirt or give it away. How are we supposed to do anything with them playing like that? We can't build any attacks until these guys take care of the ball and show some patience.

Some players are too lazy to play this style of football but I doubt Rangnick has cojones to bench them, especially Ronaldo. Very lucky to win today against a very poor side.

Rashford's decision-making in the final third is as bad as it gets.

That was bad but 3 games in 6 day after a new manager, who's been here less 8 days. Training trouble by weather. It wasn't good but I'll take it.

Awful watch that. We had chances to score up to 3 and maybe 4 goals, but poor decision making and technique assured they didn’t come. I don’t expect huge improvements over the Christmas period due to schedule intensity but at least we be in some control in the midfield in the meantime.

The forwards were poor - Ronaldo, Rashford, and Bruno - while Sancho and Greenwood were invisible. Rest of the team was ok. McTominay and DDG were good.
Overall very disjointed. Don't think this XI is the right combination.

Olè would have lost his

Tactically it's clear that mcfred can't support 4 players like Sancho Bruno rashford Ronaldo

The squad is clearly without balance, so would be surprised is this team qualifies for the conference league

A win is a win but jeez.

Fred and McTominay were very good. Maguire starting to find some semblance of form though still shaky at times. Lindelöf OK until he had to go off. The rest... Rashford, Bruno, and Ronaldo barely looked like footballers for the majority of the game.

This is going to be a long hard season, with not much to cheer.

De Gea motm, Fred was good and McTominay decent, I though Sancho was alright as well.

Bruno and Rashford horrible, Ronaldo too but at least he got the pen and scored.

Some decent blocks by our defenders and De Gea with a few top saves. I was expecting a bit more in the second half from the attack but nothing really happened. Norwich deserved a point at least..

Take the 3 points and run.

As for the performance, yeah, it was awful, but bear in mind these lads are still adapting to an entirely new system and a more rigorous training regime than what they're used to under Ole. We're gonna see a lot more sluggish/lethargic displays like the one we saw today before things improve.

Be patient people.

A poor win, but welcome.
Not much has changed to be honest. Would’ve taken Rashford off instead of Sancho as he was brutal.
Any other team but Norwich would have scored today.

That was a weird one. Ralf must said to preserve energy for Brentford because there was hardly any pressing until the 80th minute. Take the 3 points and run from that one.

No sugar coating it, that was a really poor performance and thankfully De Gea was in top form to get us another clean sheet. Still early days of course so it's not surprising we looked a bit out of sorts as I imagine a lot has been thrown at them the last week to try and get them playing a certain way and it may have caused them to force the issue. It does suggest we might experience some pretty significant growing pains though as we try to transition to a Rangnick style team.

Fred was our best outfield player today.

MoM obviously De Gea, not sure how long we can ride our luck by relying on him to continuously bail us out.

Every other outfield player was rubbish.

Bruno, Rashford, Ronaldo absolutely woeful. Super dodgy penalty on the menu.
DDG MOTM as usual. Overall terrible game.

This game showed that we need to gel more in this new system. Once they stopped our FB from going forward, we kind of folded

I am sure Ralf wants to take a broom to this shit. But he will fall out with everyone if he does that. I hope now it should be evident to everyone that majority of the recruitment in the last three years has been pathetic. Is it possible for football to be coached out of players?

Bad performance, 3 Points, lots to work on. DDG, Fred and McT were the only standouts. Front players, apart from Sancho were all varying levels of bad. I expect some changes in the team for the next game. Only position Rashford can play is LW. Rangnick needs to see that and play Greenwood if he sticks with the 4-2-2-2. I'm glad we've got a somewhat favorable run in for Rangnick's first few games as a decent team would've punished us today.

What worried me is that we weren't pressing at all. Would Ralf purposely would've told the team not to press? Or players are not following his orders as usually. Something is very missing here and needs to be addressed asap.

A Van Gaal-esque - beat the opposition into submission with as much dross as possible - victory. Add to that a plethora of painfully average players. Oh no wait it's a title-winning squad that just needs the right manager. Merry fecking Christmas.

It’s only December 11, but we need to take seriously any opportunity to strengthen the squad in January. Today gave me no confidence that we have a squad that can scrape fourth place.

Our front 4 doesn’t do enough work on and off the ball. That’s fine when you’re Ronaldo and you get the goals. Rashford, Bruno and Sancho have to do a helluva lot more work. And all of their passing at times is awful.

I’d give Rashford a 0/10 performance today. I don’t think he made a pass to a United player all game. We had 4 big chances had he made the right pass but he kept playing it too short or long. What I don’t understand is he never seems to get subbed or dropped for being so poor. I feel like Lingard could offer a lot more a present.
