So they're giving an extra free hit but not until Gameweek 20..

I used mine to deal with last week, this week just going to accept the 3 missing players and say feck it. Have 1 transfer left but only option would be to get rid of someone I need to bring straight back next week. Just not worth it.

You sound like the guy who reckoned Cancelo didn't have a high ceiling last week
I stand by that compared to other premium strikers (odds for Cancelo to score and keep a clean sheet is really high) , but yeah those that did not listen to me did much better. Might still captain Cancelo this week even if Ronaldo got higher potential just to be safe from Covid. I rather have a City striker as a captain, but got no idea who plays.

A ceiling means potential

But you'll captain Cancelo this week and he'll get 1 point.
Guaranteed pal

So because he isn't Ronaldo/Salah he doesn't have a high ceiling? Stop digging a hole for yourself

I captained Cancelo last week, which was a prime example of how it can benefit not to just stick with Salah regardless of other factors.

Let’s be honest though, none of this will matter in about a week when half the fixtures are cancelled along with the AFCON

We need the Afcon on, and Liverpool games on to hope they drop points.
That's the big picture

No I said he got high potential for points for a defender. It is TAA, Chilwell, Robertson and Reece James with highest potential right now. It is just strikers and attackers with good fixtutures got higher potential.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
You must have kept a tonne of money spare to do that double. In fairness I'd have had the same sort of dough if I'd not done the Watkins in transfer last week. Doh.
Well I had a bit of spare and then I took Ronaldo out when our game was postponed and brought Lacca Zette in… this is just reversing it so the £4.5m adds to Lacca price

It feels a dangerous week with no Salah making up most people's captain choices.

I'm sure tomorrow will help steer the right decision, whether it's Ronaldo in as part of a -4 sacrificing Salah, or as part of a free hit.

But.. but… but…. differential? :(

(and unless he’s injured or our game off, he’s in for me. It’s just whether I take the -4 in Son early).

fortune favours the stupid? (Isn’t that what they say?)

No, you originally said he doesn't have a high ceiling which is incorrect - as many stated at the time and has since been proven.

You then said it's compared to premium strikers (and now are adding in midfielders). So, how many attackers can be not be compared to in terms of ceiling?

What does owner do with this news?

Probably sell him then fairly soon, but a free hit could be a waste then.

He should get 1-2 more games I think though.

I wonder if he stand a chance to start for Bayern? They have such a good squad, but with time he might win a spot for them.
Mueller is old as well.

Bowen is the obvious replacement.

Leeds getting relegated.

Possibly one more game before the window opens, assuming the German window opens on the 1st too?

I can’t see Bayern being too happy if he plays in that game so it would be a good time to sell with the blank, but you’d hope for better sourced news.

I already made that move way too early and missed two pen goals and had a Bowen blank as well.

Yeah Leeds could go down. Bamford need to perform to save them.
Yeah but that was the right move regardless of the outcome. Cannot play this game in hindsight, it will drive you bananas.

With Leeds in a relegation battle and Raphinha heading out, plus a blank, it makes sense to get rid if you have him.

I do, and the best replacement seems to be Bowen.

Well it is hard that since how do you judge a move? I thought Kane would get going under Conte, but was wrong so far.
You can say it was a bad move since Kane had done nothing this season, but had he smashed it people would call it an obvious move to bring in the top scorer from last season.
Selling Ronaldo for Lukaku for the fixtures also made sense, but ended quite badly. Had Lukaku not got injured who knows.

Bowen is looking good so I say go for him, but West Ham have declined so I have lost a bit of confident in them.

Well you can't predict the future so whatever system/logic you use, if it was sound logic, then a bad move in hindsight wasn't a bad move at the time if that makes sense.

Kane wasnt looking great but his fixtures were there for the taking. It just didn't work out. But on this occasion, no other striker really did much either so not end of the world.

This is for my draft. Should I do Foden to Martinelli or Sterling to Martinelli or keep Foden/Sterling for the week.

And

If I don't get Martinelli, is Odegaard better than one of Sterling/Foden, because its Norwich.

Already seems to be a few comments floating about on Arsenal, Tottenham and Villa games

Imagine if the 3x3pm games get called off, we won't have a clue what to do.

Who’s ready for the chaos tomorrow?
I have no idea what to do.

I like to free hit, but do think there can come better moments.

Selling Salah is very risky, but no point in selling Foden etc before him who might play.

It's difficult, as Tottenham and Arsenal players surely figure highly in any free hit, so we need to wait late doors to make sure those are on.

Worst case I think is 3 of the 3pm games are called off, leaving just West Ham v Southampton, meaning any free hit is a pure gamble on the 5.30, 8 and Monday games taking place.
We'd have to make sure 5-6 of our squad was from that game which isn't ideal.

If only West Ham vs Southampton I might just not free hit and bring in Broja and a second keeper. Then do we chance it with Ronaldo in though?

I think unless African cup of nations do not go on I am happy to have Ronaldo with the Salah cash, but if Salah play vs Leicester I do want him.

I'm currently thinking - all games stay on - Salah & Dennis to Martinelli & Ronaldo for -4
Then Ronaldo is my cap v Newcastle & Burnley, on the hope that Monday will be fine, and Burnley v Everton was called off due to Everton.

If any key games called off, then Freehit, bring in all of the big hitters of games left, whilst leaving a decent bench of sat 3pm guys, and then Salah cap v Leicester next week, which a lot suddenly won't have.
