Hope, We Lose
Hope he has a good loan where he gets plenty of responsibility and improves on his decision making. In his first games that was one of the things that impressed me with him, but since then he seemed to lose the knack and we'll benefit from him getting experience and making good choices again

For once I hope the club make the right loan decision. We are absolutely awful at loaning players out - I think Henderson was a success and most recently Lingard - before we fecked the latter up too.

Garner, Becks, Tuanzebe, Jonny Evans off the top of my head.

Loans are always hit & miss. They change managers then they stint there could be fecked.

You realise that he has been injured till early Nov? He needs to get himself back into full fitness.
Yes, we've only had him this season. Last season he obviously couldn't play. He needed to get to know the city while we gave more game time to James and Mata.

Let's not pretend he would've gotten a look in under Ole had he been fit in the first 3 months of this season.

Send him to Blackburn Rovers. We’re in form, steady manager and he’d improve us, maybe even get us back up.

This. He's my favorite out of all the kids. It's a disgrace he's only played one half of first team footy and 2 dead rubbers.
It's really unfortunate for his development his loan deal to Feyenoord fell through due to his injury. He'd have more minutes by now.

Wonder where he'll go now. I wouldn't mind a small club because right now consistent game time is the first priority.

Amad needs to fill in a little and African football is very physical. He really lacks stamina and. that's the one thing which will determine hoe far he goes in football because his technique is Messi like. German high intensity training will be the determinant make or break moment for him . Hopefully too is he's still growing.

No because he was going out on loan until he got injured

Not sure why he's not even making the bench, he has the consistency this team lacks. Deserves way more game time than he's getting.

The bar's low mate, a lot of the players starting for utd have struggled with technical consistency for a while now, Fred, Rashford, even Bruno this season especially, Ronaldo struggles with it these days but he can't be dropped. McTominay has been an inconsistent player until very recently. Sancho and Greenwood are better but they have the odd stinker. Cavani, Shaw, Amad and Van de Beek are our most consistent players in possession, they should all be playing regularly.

Not with the squad today? Maddening to me that Elanga is ahead in the pecking order
Yeah I agree on the bolded, Elanga is young and could prove me wrong but I don’t think he’s going to be very top level, I hope I’m wrong.

We seem to be holding Amad back, can only be his small stature that is worrying Ralf and Ole before him!? Real talent.

So weird that two seperate coaching teams haver reached the same conclusion after watching both of them up close every day.

If we did not have more information and was more qualified than both of them them we would probably be led to believe that Amad is not that much better than Elanga currently.

When was this conclusion reached? Amad was injured most of the season

I suspect he's got a loan deal lined up in January. Shouldn't be maddening anyway, Elanga may not end up being a top level talent but his outstanding U23 performances warranted an opportunity to prove himself. The same should be true of any of our U23s, no matter how talented they are, if they're playing well then they deserve to be given a chance.

This is it I think. He was supposed to be on loan at Feyenoord for the whole season and that was spoiled by him getting a bad injury in training a couple of days before the deal was meant to go through. The plan is still to loan him out for the second half of the season so I suspect they are wrapping him in cotton wool until the deal goes through. No point sticking him on for 10 minutes at the end of a game if he gets crocked and then misses out on 6 months of regular first team football.

Those who sanctioned Amad’s and pellistri’s transfers need to be sacked. Absolute waste of money and resources on unproven players when we needed a proven winger.

I don't agree with that, at United we should always be willing to take a punt on supremely talented youngsters. Missing out on a RW wasn't anywhere near as detrimental as missing out on a midfielder was, that's something we're still suffering the consequences of in nearly 2022.

Amad is a very highly sought after prospect who could easily be in the elite bracket in a few years time. Pellistri has shown less and his loan spells have been underwhelming but we did not exactly bet the farm on him as he was reasonably cheap and even if he does not make it here we should be able to get our money back on him.

Elanga is well ahead of Amad hence he’s getting more opportunities! He’s a proper unit, fast as lightening and can finish! Amad needs a couple of decent loans before thinking about claiming a squad place

It's incompetence from our management that he is training on the last day of the transfer window when all that was missing was a signature. Take a day in the gym ffs. Now he was injured for 2 months and spent the other 3 in the u23s which he's way too good for.

I haven't seen anything from him to suggest he's better than Amad.

This may be harsh on a young player but I don't think his ceiling is high enough for this level.
I agree Amad has a higher ceiling but Elanga is already quite good IMO. He reminds me of Lingardinho.

Elanga is a direct, willing runner so he offers something that few in the first team do. Diallo has shown more and shown enough to warrant more game time though, and he looks more physically ready for senior football.

At this point would you not think both of Elanga and Amad would out perform Rashford in his current form?
