Also Lingard was loaned out during that season and Mata joined in January when we were already in the shit.
And Mike Phelan who left before Moyes joined.

And isn't this what Rangnick vision for all the RB club out there? Full of young, inexperienced, hungry footballer that still have so much to prove so they will for sure understand and more accepting of his philosophy. Maybe this is what the club needs, complete reset of state, so that no more of those nostalgia trip claiming past success.I will say though that I'll be very glad if this all comes to a head now and these players start leaving in January. Let's try and clear as much of this bullshit as we can before a permanent manager is appointed, so the first six months of his time here aren't spent trying to deal with the same thing.
If I was the permanent manager what I'd ideally want to take over is a much thinner squad, filled out with youngsters if need be, consisting of players with the mental and physical capacity to play a higher intensity brand of football, and with space for more quality additions. Even if it's still short on quality, fine, just give me a squad suited to my brand of football with as little dead weight as possible.
Frankly Rangnick can turn the rest of this season into a death march for all I care. Put the most demands possible on them and let those who are too old, slow, weak or lazy drop out.
Everytime Shaw has had a bad spell and out of the team there have been leaks at United. He's also been called out by two different managers and his form in 7 seasons has been massively hit and miss. Shaw wouldn't be on my list of untouchables.Even Shaw, who has proven to be one of the honest ones? Way to play to your own favourites..
Jones and Pogba.Apart from Ronaldo, Varane and De Gea, none of these players have won feck all apart from League cup and Fa Cup in 8 years yet they act like they are newly crowned CL and League champions or some shit. The ego in this group is disgusting. Get rid of half this squad.
Our midfield getting completely bossed by the likes of Wolves & West Ham and our fullbacks are completely atrocious. Our attack has also become criminally bad. Rashford, Martial, Lingard, these are all completely useless offensive players. Honestly seems like Rashford injury has permanently fecked him over. He's beyond useless.
Midfield is still the biggest problem. It was even ran through by fecking Norwich. When teams like West Ham and Wolves have a better midfield than Man United you know it's bad.
Matic and Cavani as wellJones and Pogba.
I mean people are pushing him to coach United but he would have no chance of doing well. Of course Pep would find it difficult but he wouldn’t come and if he did would probably want some player contracts cancelled before he’d sign. What do you mean by Ten Hag? Not even Pep would succeed as they will refuse to train the hard way he wants them to train.
And nor should he be. He's been crap this season alsoEverytime Shaw has had a bad spell and out of the team there have been leaks at United. He's also been called out by two different managers and his form in 7 seasons has been massively hit and miss. Shaw wouldn't be on my list of untouchables.
That's the thing, I will perhaps fault him for completely changing the way we try and play when he's only had 6 days to really instil it, and those six days have all been far apart. Carrick and McKenna would actually have been useful during this period, fully briefing him on the inabilities of the squad and perhaps he would have been able to slowly introduce his methods. You could see during the Wolves game he saw the 4-2-2 wasn't working so reverted back to a 3 at the back to make us more solid. That’s an interesting summary. Six days training with the squad in total since he took over.
hysteria i guess, i have been the same at times the last few weeks. it really is mind boggling how bad we have been. the only explanations are that ralf isn't actually good, some convoluted conspiracy about various high paid players downing tools, or that ralf wants to implement a style that takes a huge amount of training to execute, and is very open and weak in the mean time. think we are all praying it is the last. i personally doubt it is some wierd revolt over simply a tactical issue on the pitch which may or may not improve. Why do you think that is the case?
Well he is the second interim manager we’ve had this season. And he’s done worse than the first. My comment more stems from the two year consultancy role to be honest. I know he isn’t actually going to go and neither are 11 players. You’re saying sack the interim manager after one month in charge to replace him with another interim manager for the final two and a bit months of the season? Seriously?
You would need a minibus.Hope they leave as soon as possible. I offer to bring my car all the way from Birmingham to drive them to Manchester airport.
He hasn't done worse though.Well he is the second interim manager we’ve had this season. And he’s done worse than the first. My comment more stems from the two year consultancy role to be honest. I know he isn’t actually going to go and neither are 11 players.
He can make 11 trips. You would need a minibus.
Up to 11 tripsHe can make 11 trips.
Get a transit van and chuck them in the back.He can make 11 trips.
It’s a superficial summary with no knowledge of how many actual days training there was. Ignores any training between the Arsenal game and Palace game, assumes they all have the day off the day after a game and also ignores all reports of doing double sessions. I’m not going to argue that he’s had a perfect opportunity but 6 days training just won’t be true. Regardless of that, we’re a tactical mess. That’s an interesting summary. Six days training with the squad in total since he took over.
He has though. We’ve scored one goal more in twice as many games. In considerably easier fixtures and bar thirty minutes against Palace we’ve looked a much worse side.He hasn't done worse though.
It amazes me that some of you lot expected instant title winning form. We were left in crisis ffs.
I'm not saying he is a shit coach, but I can only judge him on what I see in front of me.Not even a month her, in a busy period, interrupted by covid and they haven't adapted to the new style yet ... shit coach
I am not saying he will come good especially if they players seem to work against him but he is only here for 6 month to build the foundation and give directions for the future.
He may not have the best coaching credentials but what he build with Salzburg is incredible and he definitely has a vision.
The thing is, I don't know whether you are implying this is Pogba or Lingard which makes it even worse.Clue number 1 - he’s posted a picture of himself wearing another team’s fecking kit!
Clue number 2 - he isn’t getting any game time
Clue number 3 - he’s leaving in six months and couldn’t give a toss what gets out and what doesn’t
Clue number 4 - he’s self centred enough to class himself as a brand
Clue number 5 - it’s been happening for years, so he’s been around through different managers
Difficult one this.
Them two don't strike me as two moaners.Matic and Cavani as well
It's almost like the club was hit by covid and the players are getting found out for being far below the necessary fitness required for Rangnick's liking. He has though. We’ve scored one goal more in twice as many games. In considerably easier fixtures and bar thirty minutes against Palace we’ve looked a much worse side.
It amazes me that some of you lot think we can’t expect better performances and results against Newcastle, Norwich, Palace, Burnley, Young Boys and Wolves. We’ve been complete trash for all but 30 minutes of those games.
Effort may be less but output hasn’t been less for two and half years. Rashford has more goals and assists in that period than Mane has. Mane continues to live off his 18/19 form.Good to see some people calling Rashford out in this thread as an underperformer and overpaid. The guy has been living off past performances for some time now. He makes twice as much as Mane ffs but with half the effort/output on the pitch.
Its really sad to see with some members of the squad because the talent is definitely there but the drive and hunger is non-existent.
Output is not only goals and assists.Effort may be less but output hasn’t been less for two and half years. Rashford has more goals and assists in that period than Mane has. Mane continues to live off his 18/19 form.
United are so unfortunate to be the only team hampered by Covid. None of those are excuses for frankly bizarre tactics, team selections and substitutions. It's almost like the club was hit by covid and the players are getting found out for being far below the necessary fitness required for Rangnick's liking.
Seeing as you're in a giving spirit, and would be in Manchester anyway, could you pick me up some Greggs pasties after you've dropped them off?Hope they leave as soon as possible. I offer to bring my car all the way from Birmingham to drive them to Manchester airport.
What were you referring to then? Because Mane has been shit for two years.Output is not only goals and assists.
