Everytime I have seen them play they were really organized team who knew their pressing and passing despite their lack of quality in certain positions so I think with a better team he could be very good and successful as he seems really promising. My bet is he will go Pochettino way after a great established season like this one with a below averags diet taking them into top10 he will be poached by someone like Spurs, Everton or Arsenal if they wake up and inevitably do well there but perhaps may lack some top top quality players to win eventually some trophies.
But I think he's worth the gamble even now. The only question is how he's gonna manage the stars in the team but these lads have great mentality, except few, they will be willing to work hard and have the talent to match it at the top level too, and once they see the proper system implemented by him is working and bringing the fruit I am sure everyone will buy into it.
If board needs a manager who can make the team punch way above their talent at disposal without overspending every year. Potter will be great. (That's why I think he will end up at Spurs or Arsenal where even the timing can't be better, after this season, where they fail to meet expectations again, even Newcastle could be an option now though.) If we give him the money to bring in a defensive midfielder and a cheap cover for a CB, we will be a bomb again instantly. However unfortunately I can't see our stupid board to trust someone with such low profile, even though Fletcher was hired for that job wasn't he? and seemed to understand the game very well so we may be in for a pleasant surprise.
On a general note, anyone of Potter, Rodgers, Ten Haag, Pochettino would be great appointment, question is which one of them we can get first. And paying some of them out of their contracts while paying Ole to leave will be painful. Not as painful as to wait for him to finish the season with 0 success and dropping morale of the team to the lowest lows.
