Decent game in terms of overall play and basically started the winning attack, but it's clear that the chemistry between him and the other attacking players is a bit off so hopefully we improve on that.

Totally not his system but I have a feeling he'll bang some goals in CL.

If he leaves this summer and United get power striker like Haaland then it's a fair trade.

Minus poor finishing that 2nd half was one of the best all round performances from Ronaldo. His coming deep and linkup were magnificent and I'm so glad it paid off at the end.

It's the first time in 15 years that he isn't cracking 5 shots per game in a league campaign. He produces 3.5 shots per game this season.

If Rangnick wants to remain at the greatest English club of all time he will limit Ronaldo’s involvement in this team. For 90 minutes he did feck all other than making westhams defenders comfortable. He can’t even drive the ball forward enough to threaten their back line. management has to realize that he is getting old and can’t do what he has done all his life.

Someone has to explain to Ronaldo that he isn’t in his 20s. He can’t play every game.

Our new RVN from when RVN was, ironically, holding him and Rooney back. Love the guy but impact sub or nothing at this point.
You mean he did not pass to Greenwood who could have tapped in and relieved the pressure early on?

Or was it the other way around. No one is holding young players back to score and make good decisions here.

RVN was sold due to some conflicts with SAF. Not because SAF thought he was holding them back.

He has been doing this coming deep to touch ball thing for decade, mostly for creating space for moving ball forward within players. Real madrid had very fast transition between midfielders and benzema or isco or di maria, that's how it was working. Also most of bundesliga teams do it. Only problem is our midfielders and rashford, greenwood are not get used to deliver fast transitions or little one-two passes in dangerous zones. Maybe VDB, Sancho, Martial would be great match for Ronaldo.

Never wanted him back. With him it is all about is he scored or not. His general play is not good anymore. When he doesn't score goals, he is useless. Cavani is better option as no9 at this moment

He was moving a lot in the middle this game. The reason we got a goal in the end was we put forwards to run behind him when he came down to link up. That didn't happen much in the first half with Greenwood and Elanga.
We are all a ball of emotions now but I think when we are looking back over the other 93 mins, Rashford Martial and Cavani were all finally providing some variety in that attack today. Ronaldo played his part in the goal but I feel like as the focal point he wouldn’t have scored even if the game had gone on twice as long. We clearly need a plan B Our biggest problem by far is getting our attack into form together and getting some real chemistry going

That's utter nonsense. Don't know what match you were watching. When he had the ball, he offered nothing, and messed up simple passes.

Rashford, Cavani and Martial offered more in limited minutes than he did in 90.
That just didn't happen

He deserves scrutiny for his current goal less streak but he linked up really well today and even pressed till he faded later in the game.

Another average performance.

You know he's had a quiet day when people in the match thread are mentioning his 4 defensive headers.
He is personally responsible for the performance of the defense, iirc. (Check all the post game threads when we gave up goals or ask Gary Neville.) It is only fair that he gets all the credit when we keep a clean sheets, agree?

Rangknick was afraid to make the right call in subbing him off again today. He offered nothing. Elanga should've stayed on the pitch

You nailed it. their defenders were pretty much relaxed for 80 minutes, until Martial and Cavani came on because he was fussed about making things uncomfry for them. Cavani did more in 10 minutes than he did in 90.

Haaland doesn't want United. Who else of a similar profile could/should we go for in your opinion?

Again, false. Zouma and Dawson worked their arses off to keep him quiet, having to make constant last ditch tackles.

False. They were snoozing, until Martial and Cavani came on to show Ronaldo what it's like to move around the pitch and make defenders uncomfortable.

When you put that many forwards, of course you would hope that they would give us different options. No one striker will give you that. Ronaldo did not play badly as a focal point this game. He was still laying the ball to everyone including Rashford and Martial after they came in.

Like I said, no one was running past him much when he did it in the first place. With 4 strikers on, it finally happened and we looked much more dangerous and eventually got a goal.

They will accuse us of being wums. They will then say he is the greatest player of all time like he can still perform at that level currently. Many are just Ronaldo fans instead of United fans.

In case of lack any transfers think it's time to finally define Greenwood if he's a side attacker or a poacher with ability to hold on to the ball.

Our scouting base could try and find a player suited for Premier League and think it could be someone more similar to Aguero rather than Ronnie / Edinson.

Academy has one or two promising ones, but it requires time.

2 vital moments in the last 2 games from him but the stats won't mention them. Was good today again.
It's okay, he only scores goals and does nothing else, but when he does something else, people photoshop him out of the goals he participated in

Edit: Ladron de Cafe and SonyaCross should marry, I heard polar opposites attract each other, both are extremely skewed towards one side of the equation

Nailed it, again. You just left out how emotional they get at any criticism he gets, and the constant need to give him credit even when it isn't warranted.

Solid performance, constantly tried to bring players into the game which is not his natural role and was pivotal in creating the winner.

Worked hard, but was pretty meh today overall.

Surprised to see some people here big up his contribution to the goal.It wasn’t anything special, Cavani did the difficult part.
