@Tiber is Dolphins, @Carolina Red Broncos, @Duafc Patriots(?), @RooneyLegend Patriots, @Carl Cowboys and @Desert Eagle is Niners, at least that's what I remember about them.
 Definitely not.

don’t really have a team, no associations. Got very into it after watching all the all or nothing/qb docs then got very into college football so I always wanna see Tua, Burrow, Lawrence, Herbert, Lance et al rookie qbs do well.

i’m tempted to nail my colours to the bengals but mainly I support Scott Hanson.

I certainly won’t be adding the chiefs to my already Chelski plastic support @P-Ro Chelsea Yo!.

Washington Wedon'thaveanameyet since the first season of NFL highlights on Channel 4. A decade of glory followed by 30 years as the most toxic, clown show in professional sports but I chose my team for life so I am stuck. Funnily enough today is the 30th anniversary of our last success, beating the Bills 37-24 for our 3rd Super Bowl under Joe Gibbs.

I don’t know how reliable this guy is and if he’s anything other than 100% accurate all the time then I don’t want to be told.

Any conflict for you that Rodgers is a massive cnut?

Asked one Manchester United fan of another, on a Manchester United forum, after Manchester United signed Ronaldo

I don’t need to like the guy personally, he can throw a football pretty well.

Agreed, and more than pretty well. Even after all his shite I was hoping GB would be good and get to the SB.

Very little mention of Watson these days. What’s his situation off the field at the moment? Is it likely he will play in the coming season?

The deposition is on Feb 22. I don’t know what that means in legal terms, but I know that day is in a few weeks.

The situation is a strange one. He seems determined to play this out but his career is stalled as long as he maintains this stance and there is every chance he will miss another year and potentially lose a very embarrassing court case too. The pundits have been pretty much united in saying he should negotiate a settlement that admits nothing and includes an NDA and then after a slap on the wrist, say a 6 game suspension, from the league he can resume playing. If this goes badly in court he may make himself untouchable so I am unsure what he hopes to gain by dragging this out.

That’s unfortunate. My in laws to be are Washington fans.

Did they really abolish the best thread award because we dominated too much the last few years? Bummer.

Random question. As someone who never saw Elway (too young/didn’t watch NFL then), why is he rated so highly and in the HOF? His stats are not great, obviously has the Bowls though. Just interested

He was supremely talented and was shafted most of his career by a shit team and offensive scheme. That said he is overrated.

Stats were different for QBs in those days, unless you were Dan Marino or on a Bill Walsh super-team. From the start he was a great athlete; both he and Marino were drafted by the MLB. Still the highest rated QB in the draft ever for some and was the 1st taken out of the best QB draft ever, so that reputation sticks.

Dragged some poor teams to 3 SBs with clutch play - including one of the most famous game-winning drives ever - before getting stomped by a stronger team from the NFC, which was in the middle of winning 13 straight SBs (until that streak was stopped by Elway). Then won 2, being the MVP in the second.

I was too young to really watch him in his prime, but somebody on twitter posted some clips the other day and I was like ‘Holy shit that looks just like Josh Allen!’, so that would be his modern day comp for me.

I feel that there is a bias towards QBs who had a long career. Also for ones that have won a SB.
