What happened to my boy? He was good pre shoulder surgery and now he barely even looks like a professional footballer.

I think he doesn't deserve to even be on the bench. Give his slot to some of our youngsters. He needs to drop down to the U-23s to gain some confidence.

Was anyone surprised when his first attempt to get past the Athletico player rebounded and put United on the backfoot? Sadly, the answer is no.

He doesn't. You want some class or energy of the bench, not someone who has no confidence and is not even looking a PL level football anymore. Really sad how he's lost the main things he had (which we wanted him to add to) - explosiveness, unpredictability and goal threat.

Have always thought Rashford doesn’t have the footballing brain required of a top striker ….and doesn’t have the right attitude either.
Yep. One of the most brainless footballers at the club and mind you, the competition for that spot is real.

This could have been improved because he was fairly young but I would also reiterate that he was grossly mismanaged. Jose tried to put his ego in check and he was atleast doing well. Then the man management passun merchant fecked him during his formative years in terms of footballing IQ both by zero coaching and over playing.

I always thought he was one of the most predictable players in football. I mean everyone knew as soon as he got the ball he was going to knock it past a defender and sprint after it. It was the only trick he had, but he used to be quite good at pulling it off so it was fine. Now he can't and he has no moves left in his repertoire.

This is a man who doesn’t want to really play football anymore. I’m not gonna blame him either if he gives it in early. Follow your heart in life but we need an actual player who wants to compete in his place.

Rashford, Martial and Greenwood only 18 months ago were the future of our club…

If only we had a crystal ball back then but you wouldn’t even believe it if someone told you. Talk about worst case scenarios most of which nobody can control.

Surely thoughts now turn to the PR statement or leaks to the media. My favourite moment was still the post-Ole leak where he (or his team) pretended he had to ‘overcome his natural shyness’ to ask a manager so meek he probably cries every time someone walks into the toilet and hears him piss, why he was played out of position.

Maybe we should have more respect for who I can only assume is the first player from a disadvantaged working class background to have ever played football.

Swap Rashford for Declan Rice in the summer. Get who we need to cover the most important position. I feel we have enough players at his level.

That would be weakening West Ham in 2 key positions, midfield and attack. Works for me

But but Ole told him to shut up and stop moaning. How can a peasant be so rude to the king of manchester. The nerve of Rashford  . I am far from Ole defender but Rashford throwing him under the bus after all these coddling years when he hit his shittest form is just fecking dirtbag move. He knew Ole wont hit back or rebuff that. His PR team has made an image that he is a straight arrow and a good person who helps the people in need, but I think the reality is far from that.

Think the lad looks seriously distracted. The food for kids scheme was a great initiative from him, but I think it got a lot bigger than he would ever have imagined. The run in with the government etc. The PR team behind him want it to run and run and are now forgetting that Marcus is a footballer first and foremost and he can do without their shit stirring. Think outside issues are seriously derailing his football career. Trouble with PR machines is they can forget that it is being a footballer that makes you of interest in the first place.

If we get offers for him this summer and I think we'd be wise to take them, unfortunately I can see us just keeping him here until his contract expires leaving him demotivated, unhappy and aiding in creating a toxic environment. We just need to learn to let players go, we're like fecking hoarders.

Rashford will not settle for West Ham. He'll be wanting Madrid, Barcelona or PSG.

I highly doubt any of those teams would even be slightly interested. Also it would need to be Rashford + a lot of money for Rice.

Given he's not even at our level right now, PSG and Madrid seems like a stretch.
Lots of talk that PSG view him as Mbappe's replacement, he scored against them a few times and is at a good age. He's probably a good gamble if they believe they can help him recapture his form.

No kidding it is crazy. It's all very sad. The Greenwood fall is the worst.

At this stage, PSG should really not be looking to get players who they need to "recapture their form" considering for them it's a CL win or bust situation. Current Mbappe to current Rashford would be the most mindless drops for a club that rich. But, if they came offering decent money, that would be excellent for us. I'd probably prefer loaning Rashford but either he's just been weoful for a long while now.

The lad hasn't been coached since LVG, zero development through Jose and Ole. He did thrive under Ole due to the counter-attacking pace merchants we had and how we played with Ole until he tried to go towards more of a possesion based style.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

It depends entirely on whether they think they can get him to recover his form. I don't think they'll pay huge money for him, but if a top club can get him for relatively cheap there's a fair chance they'll take the opportunity. He was an extremely promising player who for a while there looked like he was on the verge of stepping up to true world class level, and his history of regularly being very good in the big games will also help him. At 24 he's still quite young as well.

He's just been utter shit for 12 months, and poor (although effective) for 12 months before that. The ideal is that he'll regain his form here, but if we were looking to sell I'd be surprised if at least one top team wouldn't take the risk.
