We actually won some trophies under them. Both of them got sacked rightly so did Ole at the end.

And, how many players under them are playing in the first eleven now?
I mean..... none of these signings are Ralf signings are they?

We've had the same dross for years on end, and suddenly Ralf takes all the blame cos he's the most recent manager to fail to get a tune out of our shite players. We didn't exactly win the CL or prem under them managers..

Bruno has completely gone down the toilet, look how good he was for 1 year when he first joined. Every single quality player turns to absolute crap here, every single manager has done since SAF too.

Some are saying here Ralf being an interim manager, the players aren't listening to him, what a bunch of disrespectful cnuts. IMO, any player that doesn't listen to a manager, needs to feck off as it says enough about their attitude. They should be putting maximum effort in no matter who is in charge. They think their entitled to not play well just cos they don't like the manager or he's not good enough for them in their opinion, they're getting paid 100k+ a week, feck off.

He's not improved us, it's no secret, but these players all need to fecking go. I'm fed up with each and every one of them.

Not really. This squad has fecked over every manager its had and we have very credible journalists saying they arent bothering. Thats quite special in that I cant draw parallels to other clubs facing the same issue, with MULTIPLE managers.
Yes really. No manager sets the team out to play badly. They even including you and I have some ideas about how the team should play. Whether you can make them is a different matter and that's why some are successful and some are not.

His biggest mistake was trying to appease the dogshit players instead of trying to play his own way. Bottled the decision to drop Maguire as captain as well and passed it on to the next manager to make.
Players and playing style usually conform to the personality of the manager. And this time is no different

I don’t get what he is doing anymore. He’s picking the same players and the football is getting even worse.

The excuse that the players have downed tools isn’t good enough. If they have, bench them and play kids. Pandering to their whims is achieving nothing! How could we be worse?

I’m sorry but I can not see why people are putting all of this on RR, these absolute cowardly players knew that he was an interim, and they have played on that. When he has been honest the club have pretty much shut him down and given him a dressing down, and look at the absolute shit show of a situation he has had to come in to, who in gods name would have been able to change that around with all the restrictions placed on them. This…..this is in these cowards, they can not carry out anything remotely Techhical because they don’t have the ability, add to that the failures of precious management and hierarchy. But to blame this on one man is quite frankly ridiculous.

Now, look back. We should have backed Ole to finish the whole season and change the manager in the summer.
The board has catastrophically failed to make the right decision so many times post-Fergie. The owners and the board are the problem as we are all aware of.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
If the job of a manager is to get the best of his players and to get results then outside of Fred he’s failed abysmally. I find the cultish following of him on here truly bizarre. He’s never shown anything in his career up until he came to us to suggest he’s a top manager and feck me if he’s shown anything since he’s been here. He talks a good game though. Oh and for the people saying we shouldn’t have sacked Ole - that’s bonkers too. Ole was clearly done. If top 4 was essential then conte was the man - hopefully the approach we’ve taken by waiting for ETH proves the smarter one.

I'm struggling to see how we could possibly be in a worse situation had we just let Carrick see out the season and appointed a permanent replacement manager in the summer (which doesn't mean we couldn't have brought Ragnick in as a DoF/consultant as well). I just don't know what appointing an interim was supposed to achieve. How can someone like that inspire any sort of loyalty from the players.

This season is obviously a write-off now, but my big concern is that ETH will only come on board a few days before our first match, meaning next season will be a write-off as well.

Had genuinely high hopes for him. I know a lot is on the players but he really couldn’t have done much worse, to be honest.
Same. There hasn’t been a single positive or great result under him. Everything has been utterly underwhelming.

The football has been dire, he’s been completely unable to put any kind of imprint on the team and the results have been shit too. Literally zero positives.

Ole did need to go at the end as he’d obviously lost the dressing room, but this has been an awful replacement.

People bang on about the players, but pretty much our entire squad play internationally for top teams and usually look much better when they do. The issue seems to be the collective will of the group and the manager is completely responsible for that. Oles grasp on it slipped, if he ever actually had it, and Ralf has never even got close.

Bring on the end of the season.

Edit: I see RR has just sort of alluded to this exact point in his post match presser.

The players are rotten. Nothing to do with Ralf. He took over midway through a season, not even on a permanent manager basis.

These plays down tools are the mere sight of a fight. Bunch of sops.

Again, when players have literally stopped listening to the manager, how can you be sure they were operating how he wanted to set them out.

Watch his teams at previous clubs and youl see his style. This is not happening here because our players wont listen.

He cant buy his own players and hes only here for 6 months so they think they run the roost.

Of course ETH will undoubtedly change things over time. But any manager in Ralfs position was going to be fecked.

If he drops them then the narrative changes to him not giving chances to players to regain form. Did you miss how he was targeted for benching rashford ?

He's letting the players out themselves to the world. The season is already lost.

Not a chance, sacking Ole was the right decision.

But it's fairly obvious the hierarchy is the problem now.

What exactly are you trying to say here? Are you agreeing that players would listen to managers as good as the likes of Pep, Kloop?

Let's see how long it takes ETH to sort this shite out before we can accurately judge. If he does it within months then fair enough, longer though and will just confirm what we already know ie. it's a clusterfeck.

You make a valid point. However, I think if exposing them was the objective, he’s made his point and should now take drastic action. I don’t see them getting any more “exposed”

That's not the point. An interim is only meant to bridge the time until the next manager arrives, and after the previous manager had to be sacked. I understand all this is new to you guys, but this is how it goes.
Exactly. His only job is to make sure we don't embarrass ourselves ie relegation, or losing to the likes of Watford. They aren't his players so he essentially gets a free run till the summer when he moves up.

TBF, I am not blaming him for the shit that had happened to us lately nor do I think he is complete shit.

But, my point is that he is not a good enough manager for a club of our size and the club that we are currently in. And, I think it is a fair point.

The players are toxic useless cnuts but still, he's been hopeless.

I agree hes not proven to earn a job as manager with us. But as interim he was the right play, given his value add in the role upstairs, even if limited, will be of better value.

We didn't have any caretakers available that were sure hits anyway.

No one's putting it all on Ralph but he shares a part of the blame. Been useless.

I backed Ole until the final few weeks. There was no point keeping him on, the Liverpool result crushed the remaining spirit out of the team. He did need replacing at that point, the players and staff were gone.

At least this way there's no temptation to give him the job full time and add another 3 years of misery

I think you should firstly think what is the responsibility of a football manager.
From what I saw, the players always try to give their all. The problem is the way we play just doesn’t work at all. Is it so difficult to understand?

And yet he was talked up as a saviour and lauded as being a tactical genius at the beginning, based on what he was saying in interviews and implementing on the pitch. Under the same conditions. Maybe people just got carried away with the hype about a manager they really knew very little about?

I dont buy a lot of the players are rotten stuff. Many look dejected and in piss poor form but they finished consecutive top 4’s.
Top 4 was perfectly attainable when RR took over but instead of doing what other managers would have done and played a system to fit the personnel we have at present he was too arrogant and tried to implement his mad professor ideas. For example, we werent ever going to have the fitness to press without a pre season and changes to fitness program, and to mid 30’s strikers. The lack of fitness for that system is on Ole, the sheer stupidity and arrogance to try and do it is firmly at RR’s door. feck his ‘philosophy’, hes clearly no tactician.

The way we play? What way should we play? the Ole way? The Jose way? These players are a big problem and thats a fact. Rangnick hasn’t done a good job I agree but there is a lot wrong with this squad

who Said he was a top manager? No one has ever said that, he has been out of the managerial loop so to speak. It was stated quite clearly that he was brought in as an interim until the end of the season and would then move upstairs, please tell me…….who of note which manager would come in until the end of the season and if they had one, tarnish their reputation and belittle themselves on a short term contract knowing that someone that the club regarded better than then was coming in to replace them. This lot are punching well above their weight at United and it’s is much easier for them to say that the manger doesn’t have a clue rather than them being gutless and talentless.AWB Maguire etc are what I see as dinosaur footballers, the game has evolved so much technically and this lot can not evolve with it. Talent and skill aside this lot don’t even have any fight, look around us in the table and you will see far less talented sides but at least they are showing up to fight.

Given the fact he has been calling out the lack of physicality and aggression on and off the ball. Clearly the players are no listening to him
