I'm so frustrated by the current situation. What the hell is going on at the club. I'm so desperate now I'd even take SAF back for the remaining games just to throw shit at the players.I think we have enough of the pitch nastiness as it is.
Although this really is a nothing incident.
These Ronaldo apologists would be going crazy if Messi did that. The non stop defending of Ronaldo is crazy.People acting like a 37 year old man slapping a phone out of a child's hand because he was angry that he'd lost a game of football is "not a big deal" would 100% not be nearly so accommodating had it been Harry Maguire or in fact pretty much any of our other players who had done this...
Dunno, I reckon there are a few Ronaldo-obsessed weirdos in this thread who would've wet themselves with excitement if he had smashed their phoneOut of order smashing that kids phone.
If he did that to anyone else he would've got a slap round the earhole
I was shocked to find that Lewandowski has 1 league assist all season. We can’t get it into Ronaldo because he can’t receive the ball under any pressure in the air, on the ground or in behind. Lewandowski is completely the opposite. You’re just ignoring the fact that this is a vital role for a striker to play, acting as if Lewandowski’s just lucky to get great service, rather than appreciating the fact he makes passes possible because he’s very good with a defender breathing down his neck, very good in the air, and he has brilliant control. That very presence creates doubt in the opposition’s mind and gives him those little pockets of space to make himself available in the build-up, draw in the opposition, and progress the play. Ronaldo’s the exact opposite of that this season. If your striker isn’t available as a target nor capable as a playmaker then you have to work very hard to get the ball forward.
Well it absolutely does, it says he has compassion for people he see’s in need and wants to help as best he can. The fact he’s been recognised for it by an international organisation speaks volumes, but yeah Jimmy Saville or something. The thread is amazing.
Ronaldo did something wrong, it doesn't make him a monster but he was wrong. And it's pretty clear that giving money to charity says nothing about your character, being an ambassador to Unicef says absolutely nothing either. It's a bit like being a priest, it doesn't make you righteous.
Yeah alot of these stories have been debunked. The rumours for the majority of them were started by Facebook fan accounts. There's no proof of any of it.Yeah the awful human being that donated millions to hospitals fighting Corona virus, took a pay cut during lockdown, sold his golden boot to fund the children of Gaza, sold his balon D’Or’s to raise millions for children fighting leukaemia, giving his win bonus’ to UNICEF, donated £5m to the people of Nepal after an earthquake, donating millions to the children of Syria, donated to cancer centres in Portugal, donating blood regularly, paying for children’s cancer treatment.
By bringing up a notorious pedofile, homophobism, insults and slurs. Naw that’s right that was the other lot again. The CR7 brigade showing just how weird they are yet again.
Two jealous. Amirite.By bringing up a notorious pedofile, homophobism, insults and slurs. Naw that’s right that was the other lot again.
We literally wouldn't have a centre forward had we not signed him. Can’t find it in myself to give a shit about the smashed phone. The Jimmy Saville/Mother Theresa detour was fun though.
Anyway. Ronaldo. What a fecking terrible signing. One of the worst of the Ole era. Probably the worst?
Publicly giving money to charities when you are rich is simply a very good PR move. Also good for your taxes in some countries.Well it absolutely does, it says he has compassion for people he see’s in need and wants to help as best he can. The fact he’s been recognised for it by an international organisation speaks volumes, but yeah Jimmy Saville or something.
It tells you nothing. You do realize that Unicef staff have been involved in sexual abuses involving children? Who they associate with tells you absolutely nothing.Well it absolutely does, it says he has compassion for people he see’s in need and wants to help as best he can. The fact he’s been recognised for it by an international organisation speaks volumes, but yeah Jimmy Saville or something.
Who would’ve thought that bringing back a 37 year old would turn out to be the very definition of going backwards. Can’t find it in myself to give a shit about the smashed phone. The Jimmy Saville/Mother Theresa detour was fun though.
Anyway. Ronaldo. What a fecking terrible signing. One of the worst of the Ole era. Probably the worst?
And a certain person was given a knighthood in recognition of his exceptional public service by a reasonably important organisation…It tells you nothing. You do realize that Unicef staff have been involved in sexual abuses involving children? Who they associate with tells you absolutely nothing.
Signing the wrong player for a position where you need the right player is the definition of a bad signing. We literally wouldn't have a centre forward had we not signed him.
That alone means he's not the worst signing.
Yeah but you don’t be in the thread calling people names (your own words) except here you are again calling people weirdos. Two jealous. Amirite.
Or being anointed by an important organisation that’s always been well above board…And a certain person was given a knighthood in recognition of his exceptional public service by a reasonably important organisation…
Dude. It’s “paedophile”. And “homophobia”. You’re wrong on so many things in this thread you might as well at least get the words right!By bringing up a notorious pedofile, homophobism, insults and slurs. Naw that’s right that was the other lot again.
He gives to cancer charities in Portugal because his mother survived breast cancer, so not just PR..Publicly giving money to charities when you are rich is simply a very good PR move. Also good for your taxes in some countries.
Complete whataboutism again. It tells you nothing. You do realize that Unicef staff have been involved in sexual abuses involving children? Who they associate with tells you absolutely nothing.
I honestly don’t give a feck it’s not a word I often use.Dude. It’s “paedophile”. And “homophobia”. You’re wrong on so many things in this thread you might as well at least get the words right!
Not really, you used being associated with Unicef as the proof of someone's character. And I gave you an example of what type of people can be associated with Unicef.Complete whataboutism again.
No point. Not really, you used being associated with Unicef as the proof of someone's character. And I gave you an example of what type of people can be associated with Unicef.
You’re obviously not from Northern Ireland. In recent months I’ve learnt you can brush off arguments by just saying “complete whataboutism”. Seems to be the new buzzword
Yeah you could argue he wasn't the best signing, that would be fair. But the worst?Signing the wrong player for a position where you need the right player is the definition of a bad signing.
Wouldn’t have been their phone anyway…He probably thought it was one of them Everton chavs' phone that he smashed and you can't tell me they're not annoying.
Absolutely bang on. If you aren’t smashing kid’s phones after a game get out of my club. He's reacted angrily at the end of a game and has apologised and offered a token as a gesture of goodwill.
That's fine, matter closed as far as Im concerned.
A bigger issue is that several United players will have just walked off the pitch after giving a minimal effort, and will have been messaging mates about various "vibes fc" type activities, or arranging with their PR team to release another "keep trying....work harder" lie via social media.
Whatever your views on Ronaldo you know he has always taken pride in his achievements and being angry at the end of a game like that is understandable.
Id prefer that genuine reaction to those walking off with hands over their mouths chatting away about something they don't want us to see/hear about.
How dare you compare Ronaldo to child abusers??? Heartless internet person! It tells you nothing. You do realize that Unicef staff have been involved in sexual abuses involving children? Who they associate with tells you absolutely nothing.
It that what I said?Deery clearly has the only reasonable way of interpreting this incident.
Assaulting a child is obviously fine if you give them or others money.
More like you didn't get the point. No point.
Almost every single human being that has ever lived has at some point shown compassion to others - including genocidal maniacs. Just saying. The point being that doing so alone doesn't make you a good person if you are doing bad things as well. It's always on a scale. It that what I said?
I gave examples of times were he has shown charity and compassion to others which indicates him not being an awful human being.
