This is good but this should be consistent throughout the season and not just once a year protest. Last year's protest was good and it worked but if the fans do it consistently then we may get what we want. Otherwise things will remain same.

Until the stadium is empty, the protests won't hold weight. Until the profit is constantly running low, the protests won't make the desired difference. The only way to get the Glazers out is with government intervention. And because he's American, that's not going to happen.

The best form of protest would be to cancel your tickets and stop buying merchandise. Hit the Glazers in their wallets and they'll sell and feck off eventually.

War in Ukraine. Thousands dying and dead. Women and children being raped. Possible start of World War III.

But yeah, let's protest about football. The potential of finishing 8th in the EPL... the horrors...

The self of self entitlement is shocking. Yes. We might finish 8th. Actually, I think we will. But the Glazer's aren't totally to blame: The fans wanted rid of Moyes. Done. The fans wanted rid of LVG. Done. The fans wanted rid of Jose. Done. The fans wanted rid of Ole. Done.

On the face of it, the fans keep getting what they want and yet they still bitch and whine.

No wonder the players think they can rule the roost. All they have to do is down-tools, look like they've never kicked a football in their life, the manager will blamed by the fans. Fired.

Rinse and repeat.

But fine. If fans want to protest against the Glazer's. Fine. By all means.
You're right. We should all forget about football & our daily lives and instead should all be on our way to Ukraine along with Boris Johnson to take up arms against those pesky Russians. Hang on... I forgot for a second that this is a Manchester United football forum.

The fans are allowed to bitch and whine, especially when they're right. David Moyes was garbage, he had the players training on a local field. Louis van Gaal's football was unwatchable. Jose was toxic as feck. Ole wasn't good enough. We as Manchester United fans have high standards.

It is a perfect time to protest, we have just been beaten by a piss poor Everton side fighting relegation who out fought and out ran our players that should have been giving everything to try and achieve top 4. We are currently looking for a new manager and have shown interest in Ten Hag who seems to be full of good ideas and has done a great job of building a good footballing side at Ajax. He is supposedly seeking assurances that he will have control over football matters and will be able to build the team without interference. We may not get rid of the owners by protesting but it may just help in putting some pressure on so that Ten Hag gets his assurances. If he doesn`t think he will be able to manage as he needs to then you can`t blame him for staying where he is until a better offer comes. It is pointless bringing Ten hag in unless we allow him the freedom to manage, it will just be the same as with the last managers.
The structure has to change and football needs to come first.

Why doesnt everyone just unfollow the players and United. That will be the only message that they can hear. Lets set a date - Unfollow 1/5/22 and everyone unfollow all players on all platforms Twitter etc and dont go to anything United - the website etc. And don't purchase anything. For lets say 2 weeks. Its easy - everyone doesn't have to travel to Manchester and it will be the loudest protest in history.

Glazers are not the problem (yes, they take dividends every year).
We have the highest spent for the last decade. More than Real, Barca, BM, City and Liverpool.
They have also committed to improve the club's infrastructures.

The problem was the management team he entrusted especially our dear Ed.
We have an accountant who ran our football club disastrously making every rookie mistakes you can think of for the last 8 fecking years.

The current team, Arnold delegates the football side to Murtough. Early days but it seems not much improvement from the previous team.
They brought in a gegenpressing interim coach only to completely abandon the philosophy 3 months in.
They have also completely abandon the plan of laying foundation for next season high intensity football.
Now the players jog around the pitch match after match.

Who is calling the shots to implement a system and stick to it for long term benefit to the club?
What you say rings true, however the Glazers allowed Woodward to oversee nearly a decade of failure. The buck stops with them. They had the power to remove Woodward at any time but chose not to.

As much as we long for the day when the leeches (glazers) disappear, it doesn’t excuse the disgusting attitude from these clowns that wear our shirt week in week out.

If any professional footballer needs to be told to sprint, tackle, chase down loose balls and basically work their nackers off, then they should be nowhere near a club. Their sulking and throwing of arms in the air sickens me to the stomach. I can’t remember ever loathing a Utd squad in 40 odd years.

Maybe we should be directing our anger at them…

This is unhinged

We might as well all pack up and go home if we're going to make these comparisons.

Fans really ought to be booing those players that deserve to be booed. There are some exceptions in the first team, granted.

On course for an 8th place finish, the lowest in our history of being in the Premier League.

There’s talk that ETH is taking a cautious look at the situation at Utd, both on and off the field and may be warned off by some trusted people.
If this protest comes off and is more than just a damp squib, it could be the icing on the cake that scares him away.
Officially Utd, through their press contacts, are saying they are still looking at a wide range of prospective candidates.
A complete reversal of the narrowing down the shortlist narrative we were fed just over a week ago, followed by the word that ETH has been chosen.

Just think.
If Moyes gets the chop at WH, he might be in the frame.
After all, he knows the club, blah, blah…….
I meant this as a joke, but the point is the protest won't help the effort to get he right manager onboard.

Think you're missing the point.

I wouldn't boo, but I'd happily not enter the stadium until X time.
I don’t think I am. They’ve paid for tickets they arrive in 17 minutes late .
Wow . Take that glaziers . That’ll upset their weekend plans.

It’s a football forum mate, weird place to be outraged by fans not being happy about their club being ran into the ground.

Honest truth....I don't think a protest at this time is actually fair on the club.
I think a lot of poor decisions were made in previous years but these were by different individuals. Very similar in the way people talk about our players. These aren't the same players as LVG had to deal with. The same goes for senior leadership at the club. Woodward is no longer there, a director in Murtough is, as is Fletcher and a potential deputy. Arnold is now CEO and hasn't shown signs of being like Woodward. People just seem to lump everyone together yet expect progress through breaking everything down.
There are individuals who worked under both Gill and Woodward, should we classify them as complete successes or failures based on the regimes they were in?

The Arnold - Murtough regime hasn't done anything of not yet. They haven't been able to. They've had only one year to operate and managed to sign Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo for relatively decent fees( well Murtough). The leaks at the club existed before them coming in and may have absolutely nothing to do with the management at the club, just simple assumptions and cynicism from fans. What exactly has Arnold or Murtough done to deserve a protest occurring? What exactly will a protest achieve beside adding to the negativity surrounding the club?

Keep on protesting against the Glazers while the players do not even deserve their salaries. If I want to protest tomorrow, I know who I would prioritize first. Glazers protests have been here since early 2005 and what significance have it achieved exactly?

I agree with protesting against this shower of players - not booing but please stop clapping this crap onto the pitch and then singing songs that they don’t deserve - they deserve to have no chants or applause - should we score (unlikely) then muted cheering is to be expected - but for gods sake don’t lord them as if they have scored the winner in a cup final - they never will of course.

Windows on RedCafe look top notch to be fair to those lads. I'd direct my vitriol at the ownership myself.

No one cared about protesting when the club went and signed Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho. No one would care about protesting if the team were top of the league by 15 points.

As soon as the managers and players are underperforming, the fans want to protest about the owners. I just don't understand the point.

Protest all of the time if you care about actually getting rid of the Glazers, not just after bad results and a bad season.

Protesting after bad results should be about protesting against the players who are underperforming.

I want the owners gone but this season cannot be blamed on them surely.
Exactly this. There is every chance that we have actually been run properly for the last year or so. We can't tell as fans because all we see are what goes on on the pitch and how much is spent in the transfer market. We have spent. Right now it's not the Glazers who are not performing, it's the players.

I really dislike how the average every day pundit will come at the running of the club based on a few bad signings not playing well, in a league where the people running the club can't control what happens on the pitch. If United had a bad manager like Moyes and consistently stuck to him regardless of results, you could make a case. If managers were sacked abruptly after showing good displays due to off the pitch or impatient ownership reasons you could make the case. If owners consistently butted into recruitment issues and consistently overruled the manager, you could make the case. There being leaks almost proves either its not coming from leadership or that managers are given a respectable level of autonomy at United. I don't like Woodward's indecisiveness or his need to be a public figure, but I feel even issues people had with him were overblown and should have been focused more on who he hired to do the job. If we were winning trophies, this won't be a discussion. I think the media makes it bigger than it is. We have simply had owners who are not very involved give a lot of responsibility to an incompetent CEO after having a Great CEO before him. The CEO is gone now and systems have been built to allow the club do well on the footballing side without the hand of the CEO

Yes they are. The hire, fire and have the ultimate say on all issues. Unless we’re going to protest Dave as he’s the only other consistent thing since Sir Alex left.
They’re not interested in the fans, since the last protests all we've had empty promises. Fans making their voices heard is the right thing to do.
Do you think the Glazers should do what redcafe says? Or some other fan group?

There was the group that said Utd would be bankrupt 5 years ago or so. Didn’t seem to happen, do you think the owners should take financial advice from people on the internet?

Fans would like a promise that we win everything all the time. Oh and play entertaining football all the time to. And be beloved, don’t forget

Utd fans formed a new club in 2005 in the midst of the most successful period in football history ffs.

The hard truth is, any protest at Old Trafford has zero effect on the Glazers.

Just one drunk bloke screaming at Joel Glazer in Tampa is going to have more of an impact than thousands outside old Trafford

Wasn’t it that we were going to create a club structure so that every manager didn’t remake the club in his own image? Yet everyone time we hear the same thing, “it’s pointless to bring him in unless we give him freedom to manage.”
It WILL need the same as with the last manager. The structure does need to change, and that means creating a stable, well run club for the long term.

Yes, because ETH lives in a vacuum and is not aware of the situation at the club atm. He also doesn't know about the fans protests in the past. Any candidate will be aware of this. And if indeed he is afraid or cautious about the pressure from the fan base, then we'd better be looking elsewhere tbh.
