Rangnick’s going to go for that weird Fernandes and Pogba strike force thing, isn’t he?

Think we will get battered tbh. I can't see us getting a grip of the midfield, think we will have very little upfront and there is no way our defenders can cope with their back against the wall for 90 minutes.

I really don't know what I'd do if I was the manager.

All I want is these spineless players to put in 100% effort and actually give a shit unlike every other game this season.

We have been a disgrace all season so for feck sake, try and go out and beat these bastards who are going to take the piss out of us If we don't

Don't think he can, Pogba needs to play CM, only him and Matic are fit
Good point, I completely forgot McFred are both fecked.

    Lingard — Matic — Pogba
    Elanga — Fernandes — Sancho

Ten Hag will probably be announced as damage control after we get trounced. Silver linings, lads!

Playing Liverpool on a Tuesday night under the lights at a vociferous Anfield. What could possibly go wrong?

Watford game them a game at Anfield. They were very organised, but I guess Liverpool were in 2nd gear. They definitely won’t be in 2nd gear tonight.

You can hate me all you want, best case scenario would be keep score down to 2-0 and hope a couple if their star players he injured. I don’t give feck what anyone makes of that!

Liverpool flying for the title, United nothing to play for but a slim chance at top 4 and pride.

I really do think it'll get messy again tonight. The tempo and aggression they are capable of we just cannot match.

I forsee us getting caught being sloppy on the ball in defence as per usual and falling to their press.

I really hope we switch back to 'ole ball' tonight and just look for swift counter attacks with a deep line.

Our left side will get battered it's fair to say. Salah/TAA will be too much for us.

Klopp will rest a few players tonight and against Everton. Who would have thought that while challenging for the quadruple that Liverpool would be able to rest players in a title run in against United and Everton.

Just looking for something to critique? That’s non-sense.

On page 6 right at the top of the page, you can see exactly my quote about if players care about the fans, they should be more motivated to stop Liverpool’s chance to win quadruple. That was more than 6 hours before the tweet of the Maguire’s quote came out.

I have been consistent about it so of course I’m not going to change my opinion about it after I read Maguire‘s quote and of course it’s not about me looking for something to critique but that’s exactly what I wanted and what I expected if players care about the fans. I thought you would understand but it seems Liverpool winning quadruple wouldn’t hurt you at all huh?
I don't really care when you posted it, as I said, if any player came out prior to the game saying stopping Liverpool winning a quadruple was a main part of their motivation for the match tonight it would show an incredibly petty small-time attitude, their motivation is to go out and win the football game against their greatest rivals, to just about stick in the top-4 race and to give the fans something to shout about in a dreadful season, which is pretty much what Maguire said anyway. Liverpool themselves aren't commenting on the prospects of winning all four, so it would be completely insane for our players to start talking about it too. Such a weird small mentality you seem to want the players to have.

This is one of the most daunting build ups to a game in a long long time. Us in terrible form, midfield injured and a few players checked out. Them flying in all competitions.

Like others can't see anything but a defeat. I hope I am wrong but it is going to be painful to watch.

I think the fact that they are in three competitions may help us as they might ease off once they are in control. It is going to be a hard watch.

Who care about the line up, we'll be blasted by their cohesion, speed etc... So disappointing to face the truth that we are soooo horrible.

Just watched the Liverpool game for Eric’s comeback on MUTV. What a player. Absolutely outstanding. I think he’s actually massively underrated these days.

well it bloody well should be , Liverpool winning the quad is totally unacceptable, along with getting top 4
No it shouldn’t be, what a pathetic frame of mind if a professional admits that is their motivation.

We need points for top 4. feck them.

The fact you don’t care what I posted means you are still refusing to understand my point, if you actually read it again, you wouldn’t miss the point I made. Like I already told you, the point is that it shouldn’t be used as the main motivation but it should be part of the motivation but the quote says it’s not even part of it. The player has to choose one to say huh? He can’t say all of them together?

Can picture one of the goals already. Matic/Pogba wanting far too many touches on the ball, losing it in the middle, quick pass beyond Maguire. Goal.

Honestly the worst midfield you can field against this Liverpool team.

Usually quite nervous about this fixture but feel like this time it would be a monumental upset if Utd can get anything from the game. Key players missing, not in great form, game played at Anfield and we are full of confidence after our recent successes in Europe and the FA Cup. Hopefully we put the game to bed in the first half and see the game out from there, not interested in a nervy affair.

Exactly. If you find motivation in pissing on someone elses parade but find none in going for your own goals then thats really sad. We should have been fighting tooth and nail to get top 4 for the past few months. We are still in with a vague chance and we have been fecking awful. The fact we still have this chance is amazing and we should be dying on the field to give ourselves some small chance of sneaking it.

I posted before I finished, then deleted it, you must have been fast :)
Of course top 4 is important, beating them helps on both counts, us top 4 and them not winning the quad.

Games like this is where I miss Ander Herrera and his shady antics.

Pulling shirts, kicking shins and wasting time. Who's going to make this an uncomfortable game for the scousers tonight?

Depleted squad, a few key players missing, totally unfancied, being written off before a ball is even kicked, it can only mean one thing.

It's going to be a win tonight with Maguire scoring and hopefully we can get another one of these.

Appreciate your optimism. I really do.

Your post also reminds me of that Karius post on RAWK before the Real Madrid final where they claimed that he was the best GK in the world.
Oh I’m not optimistic at all! I actually think we’ll get spanked. But my point was that if there is any possible way we could get anything from the game then that could be it. Still think we’ll get beat 0-4.

I'm not refusing to understand your point, your point is absolutely fecking ridiculous and if you're older than about 12 then it's frankly concerning you can't get your heard around that.
