I get the "passion "( you always see it in youth players within their first couple appearances ) he showed but lets be real, if he was involved in most of the games this season you wouldn't see such energy.

The " bug" hasn't touched him yet, It was good to see him out there though, moves the ball well

Too many not getting that sometimes a display of aggression, a foul, is what's needed. It gets fans and hopefully your teammates blood going.

Especially when you're struggling.

And believe me, this kid will get sent off but he'll also get plenty of opposition players sent off.
Totally agree. I don't get why many fans on here don't seem to understand this. This works in a normal 5 a side never mind professional football.

I'd rather see our players close to risking red cards then the no reaction we have been seeing all season. Can you imagine a Keane or Rooney in similar games?

Our players should be getting stuck in and giving the Liverpool players the impression we want to put some of their players out of the run in for their quadruple. By that I don't mean unfair tackles but just strong, robust challenges.

He has balls about him and to be a top level athlete you need balls. Too many wall flowers in this team. Needs to be part of the first team going forward. Let's see what he's got.

I wouldn't blame him for the goal, Maguire played a rotten pass, he should be turning back and rolling that to the keeper not slinging a horrible high ball across the defence like that.

What’s the non-contrarian position? Hannibal had a good, solid game and we can’t wait to see more? C’mon! If any more senior player came on tonight and did what he did, they’d be roasted.
Pogba did it at Old Trafford and got himself sent off and he still has plenty of people who continue to support and defend him.

He came on, showed a bit of passion, ran around and kicked some people. Which is more than most of the rest of them did and that was the height of his performance. Nothing special and nothing learned.

90 percent of people posting here have never played to a decent standard I guarantee it.

if you are losing and you come on, no chance of winning, fire some fuxking tackles in, be a cnut, don’t give a feck,
Fair play to him, don’t sit down and take a loss

the rest of you pansies
Have a think about your attitude
It fuxking stinks

People rightly moan about our players being passive and not giving a feck.

Then a young player comes on and shows a bit of fight and gets called out for his temperament.

Showed a bit of inexperience with the mistake for the goal and overly aggresive and a bit clumsy....

But all game we needed to show far more agrresion, Ragnick has commented on this and a bit late to show it once we were 3-0 down, he was also at least showgin energy, good movement and the ability to pass the ball 10yards unliek many and showed he cared and watned to impress. Also to be fair the pass from Maguire was dreadful, though iromically one of the few that actually didnt go over the wide players head.

He dd nothing to get excited about, but good to see him get some minutes and experience

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Goal is not on him - Maguire hung him out to dry for the goal

its a fecking match against Liverpool. Show some grip and intensity ffs.
It was a shit pass but I can guarantee if Hannibal had done the same pass to Maguire people would not be saying Maguire wasn’t to blame. Anyway, I enjoyed his kicking of Henderson and it was the highlight of the night. Hopefully he can show what he can do on the ball Saturday.

Had a fault in the goal but at least he came on at 3-0 and showed a lot of our players what should be the bare minimum in terms of application.

Is a more talented player than Elanga, would perfom better on the pitch than rashford and would give more effort than lingard.

If he had been given either of those players time over the last couple months at the very worst we would be in the same position as we are now whilst blooding him in.

Having a good/bad/indifferent club debut can seem momentous and indicative of what's to come but often it doesn't mean anything. Didn't Obertan have rave reviews early on in his United career? Evra had a famously disastrous entrance into the first team.

There were some good moments in there, and some bad. He showed he had quality and immaturity in equal measure. In a lot of ways, he performed exactly as he should have as a virtual bystander to more experienced players serving up another horror show.

The bottom line is he's that he got out there. He might have played a blinder against Norwich and then been brought crashing down to earth by Liverpool and been affected even worse. No easy way of progressing.

He's part of the fold now and his chance will come again.

Idiotic performance from him. The praise in here seems desperate and out of frustration.

Seemed behind their tempo even as a sub and therefore forced to do these shitty tackles. Lost the ball which led to 3-0.

Created enemies enough to get a few tackles back when he'll get older - terrible way to go about.. you gonna get injured with tackles like this, as you create too many enemies. Wont get far with this mentality. Long way if he is to make it here.

Best performance of the season, but that is not hard considering how pathetic this team are. Mentality shows a lot about a player, not just what they do with the ball and I bet that's what RR said to him before he came on, show intensity.

The thing is, it's so predictable. For a young player to come on, show some personality, to then immediately be caught up in negativity, controversy, or be labelled from that point on. Few sees the pure irony in your statement. While the team is in shambles even a small positive gets turned into a big negative. Seems like.. we're almost collectively bipolar. Owners need to give out some happy pills for one, then lets see what happens longterm.

Low IQ display. That's okay, there was nothing else on display today.

I'd say what he did was smart, game was over and literally millions of United fans wondering why we were just admiring Liverpool passing around us instead of trying to upset their rhythm.

He was probably told to go and get stuck in by Ralf too.

100s of millions spent in this team and the only one that gave a damn in what is supposed to be an important derby for us and a chance to stop their tracks in the title race was an 18 year old that came on after we were already 0-3 down. Says it all.

His fouls actually broke the game up for the last 10 mins and stopped an even bigger drubbing. Not at fault for the goal, if I was harsh I would say he should have just let it run off the pitch. An absolute disgrace of a pass from Maguire that would be berated at Sunday League level.

It's a sad state of affairs when the fact that he was sprinting after players caught my eye. Seen little of that all season which is beyond pathetic.

I'm done with absolutely everyone. Let Hannibal play the remaining 5 games, every single one of them at least as a sub for at least 30 mins. This kid has shown enough in the youth ranks to warrant a start over majority of these spineless dossers. At least he came on and showed some fight and guts 18 as he is. Let's give him a shot.

I'm not so sure. This is Hannibal's usual energy for youth matches. He plays with the workrate of Suarez, but without the racism. The kid is a cnut, but the type of cnut you usually like to have on your side. Opposition fans will hate him for this reason, but he's the dark arts master who will surely get players sent off in the future.

May be a good time to bed him in and learn from mistakes if we lose against Arsenal (hope we don't of course)

I think he should be rewarded with a start, and regardless of his performance, take him out of the limelight for the following match. Fergie would sometimes do that to senior players.

Yeah, let whatever senior player get punished out there rather than throwing in a promising kid to give away the ball for a goal with his first touch and then almost get sent off. You ease in youngsters in a positive moment. Not when you are getting taught a lesson and everyone is pissed off.
The team has been a disaster the whole season, if you meant just last night, yes it was a very stupid thing to do getting him on for the last 8 minutes. I'd rather he subbed him directly for Pogba at the start. I disagree for this "ease in youngsters" we have been easing youngsters like Rashford and Greenwood and for good knows how long, the problem is not whether you ease them in or not. They are ready to contribute at 17 years of age, what we do afterwards is the problem.

We tolerate overpaid primadonas, award mediocrity, no leaders on the pitch, throw a bunch of money at the kids, gloat on them for the sake of the clubs image.

Keep him away from the main team as far as possible, they might corrupt his innocent youthful brain and heart.

I haven’t watched much of him in the youth sides, but isn’t he known for being one of the most fouled players in the league? I’m guessing its because he plays similar to last nights cameo. Seems like what we need at the moment. Nothing else seems to be able to put any fire into this complacent bunch, maybe having to defend a young “liability” for the rest of the season might help.

Neither of this players were eased in by any stretch of the imagination.
