Didn't watch the 2nd half, was Villareal at fault for all 3 goals?
Their GK was absolute wank in the 2nd half and single-handedly destroyed his own team. If I were a conspiracy nutjob I'd say he was on Liverpool's payroll.

Liverpool will go on to win the CL final now all that will stop them from winning the quadruple is for City to win their remaining league game and I'm not convinced they will.
Why do you think they will go onto win the CL now? And not before todays game?

Villareals keeper was terrible over both legs. A competent goalkeeper & they’d have been in a far better position.

Didnt City sign him then sell him in the same window.

Keeper killed them but tbf they had overperformed to even get to this point. Can hardly expect miracles.

This is on Emery.

Sat back and let Liverpool dictate the second half they deserve to get knocked out.

Because their own forums are so low quality and irritating for sane people.
Correct. I'm not from the northwest so don't really have the same tribal views on football either. This forum is so well moderated and easy to have discussions on football and other topics without it descending into the worst of what the internet has to offer. I've never really been bothered about the fact it's a United forum.

Funnily enough the Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, City, Madrid, PSG, Bayern fans don't get the same kind of heat even though they all post while their games are on. That's probably me not understanding the tribal rivalry between United and Liverpool like others do.

Villareal were knackered coming off at half time. That was the more telling factor in the second half.
True, but they dropped off and wanted liverpool to have the ball. It's criminal and the reason why Emery is coaching a 6th place spanish side.

With 5 subs you still go for it especially being at home and having liverpool rattled for the first time all season.

How the feck have managers not learned that taking your foot off the gas to defend a lead never works? And why the feck would you do it while drawing?

Not really at fault tbh. Leading 2-0 at half-time and playing at home. No one could've predicted that Villareal's GK would reach Karius levels.

It's cause of rivalry but more cause of certain posters who like to wum imo. Not meaning you, you're all right.

Nah they sat back in the second half thinking they could defend their lead, but they were playing one of the best counter pressing teams and rightly got beat

I dunno about that - Villareal can be a nightmare when they sit off. Capoue's really poor closing down led to Fabinho getting Liverpool's first and from there it was only going one way. Although Rulli... just... christ..

To be fair to Villarreal, Liverpool are a far superior team to them. They did well to come back to 2-2 on aggregate. They just didn't account for their idiotic keeper to feck things up.

There's only one United!
Can a cull start with Dumbstar?
They should all deffo be banned until the end of the season at least.
Do we really have to put up with on a Man United forum a load of gloating obnoxious Liverpool fans?

I can't imagine any scenario where on an evening when my team is playing in a Champions League Semi I'd be spending my time on a Liverpool forum.
Does anyone get the message from members here?

Couldn’t give a feck about Scousers on here…what I find very fecking disturbing is them coming on here during the match and on 90 minutes. I worry for them. Text a mate. Ring a family member. Celebrate. Have a wank. Whatever. But just enjoy the moment.

I cannot for the life of me imagine myself watching United storm back from 2-0 down to reach a CL final and think…”right, off to RAWK”.

Mind boggling odd behaviour. Scouse bastards.

That first half blitz was the best half any team has played against Liverpool all season. That pressing and passing was relentless. They say strike while the iron is hot and they struck twice so fair play to Villareal. It really is a model on how to play Liverpool.

The downside is that they simply didn't have the legs to continue in the second half and of course some shocking goalkeeping.

I predicted a City-Liverpool final early on and still stick by that prediction. However, if City go the final, I predict a Liverpool victory. If Madrid go to the final, I predict a Madrid victory.

I think City doesn't have what it takes to win this competition. A final between City & Liverpool could be more or less a repeat of their recent FA cup match. City also lack European pedigree and seem to lack the confidence they usually play with in this competition, as we saw last year against Chelsea in the final.

Sitting off Liverpool is suicide. They have the best crosser in the world and Robertson is immense with delivery too. They also are high level on set pieces. They are always good for goals.

Villarreal dominated Liverpool in that first half. Should have had a penalty too. They aren't used to teams pressing. Villarreal did and Liverpool looked flustered.

Changing those tactics was criminal.

I don’t think United wouldn’t have been able to defeat Inter or Benfica.
That is a different thing altogether. Liverpool are tood good and miles ahead of United, but not invincible kind of good. If they had high quality opponents, they would have not looked so entitled.

Liverpool defence under pressure is not so good.
The goals were mistakes by Robertson and Taa

We are going to beat City tomorrow. We went to City and put 3 past their keeper. If City had won 1-0, then there may have been a case for saying that City controlled the tempo, that Madrid's attack is too weak to score against City's defense or that Madrid are too scared to come out.

Instead they're probably shitting themselves at the prospect of playing the second leg in a hostile stadium, against players who've won it many times before, against a fully rested team - especially the back 4 who have had week's rest, against a team whose attack fears no one and against a team who have already won a major tournament - so confidence will be sky high.

Madrid. Are. Bold.

You literally can't make this shit up. The moment we fall into a period of disaster the 2 clubs we hate the absolute most are the two ones winning titles constantly.

When it rains it pours.

I still think the scouse cnuts are going to win everything this year. City will feck the league up and Madrid will win tommorrow and Liverpool will beat them in the final.
