On behalf of all Man Utd fans I'd like to say....

I'm so sorry Jesse. You deserved so much more than this x
This has to be a joke surely?

The weird defense of lingard on here is so strange. He's done nothing to deserve it so it makes it so odd to read.

Sad the way cnuts on this site have turned on him, not the ones that were always against him, the others that have just gone along with the current narrative. I'm so close to just dropping this site...

I used to be a supporter of lingard.

Then the last few years happened. Has been one massive pisstake from him. Culminating in the shitshow that was this season.

True colors from him and pogba have finally been shown to the public.

Two self entitled shits who think the club owes them despite being massively overpaid already.

So many excuses on why he didn't play or play well over the years. Ran down his contract purposely so the club couldnt get a fee but he would get a "bigger" pay day.

Then he expects us to give him a farewell?

Get fecked you cnut.

I doubt any club would be paying him anywhere near what we have.

Can't wait for these mediocre money-grabbing, attention-seeking, instagram models to leave the club. You played for Manutd and instead of being proud and thankful you crying over a few minutes sendoff not given. Well flash news no one wanted you on the pitch for that send off anyways even though it was a dead game we wanted to win.

I really can’t get over how funny this self fulfilling prophecy is. He’s had about 10 different British journalists doing PR for him over the last couple of weeks.

None of them have been in the slightest bit objective or critical of him. It’s really not difficult to infer that these are all the journalists that he’s been plying with stories all year which is what has got him into this mess and he’s now calling on his capital with them to get him out of it… which is just exposing him further.

United should have given him a proper send off. Let him in for a couple of minutes, and sub him off…Matic kicking him in the ass [when Lingard start to wave his hands and demonstrate utmost unhappiness] would be golden

In fairness, if he was denied a transfer last summer on the promise of being involved more in the squad, that was silly from our end.

It fell perfectly for us, send an underprfoming player out, he does really well, and is suddenly sellable for a decent fee.
Failing that, bring the revitalised player back into the fold and benefit us.

We did neither. And essentially wasted a year for him and a decent fee for us.

That's true. Saying that all this PR sounds like he's been some important player for us who deserves a fekin sendoff.

Just leave man, just leave.

That’s clearly bollocks. He sat on the last year of his contract so he could get a big signing on fee this summer and blamed everyone but himself.

I wouldn’t say it’s friends, it’s more people who know any kind of United story gets lapped up and will gladly print something that puts the club in any form of bad light
Or in any light just for a click. Yeah, I agree, probably that.

It's not going to be neat, is it? This rebuild is going to be dirty, just goes to show the amount of toxicity in the squad and how poorly the club has been run.

Lingard and Rashford are pricks. Constantly getting their PR team to leak stuff to the media. What has become clear this season is they don't care about the club, they only care about themselves. Thank feck at least one of them will be gone soon

Now with Woodward and Judge gone and stuff coming out how they were desperate to retain player/asset "value" by having them sign new contracts, I think it's quite obvious this was Woodward trying to retain asset value with a new contract for Jesse until we sold him off.

Nothing to do with Ole promising him regular football ( Ole may have said that to dangle a carrot) but I mean c'mon we had Cavani, Martial, Greenwood, Rashford and Sancho. He had to know, there was no chance he was getting regular football, none what-so-ever.

And then we signed Ronaldo, which IMO, made it impossible for us to get rid of Jesse because he'd never leave with Ronaldo here

Whats the puropose of the tweet of him as a kid? He's been living of United not contributing as a player at all and yeah its the club's fault for keeping him but he's acting like he's god given just cause he came in as a youth product. Its just so silly.

He wears fake glasses. Kinda says it all. Ferguson would have binned him off to Leeds years ago.

He's been doing this sort of shit for years.

I remember when he was on that run of over a year without a goal or assist and playing like utter dogshit. Then we beat Spurs and City one after the other and Lingard played ok in both games, he wasn't great and he didn't score or assist anything but he was at least competent in both games.

First thing he did was go out and do a big PR tour giving interviews about how he'd had personal issues but he was over them now and he was back to "the old Jesse" and he was ready to go on a great run of form and blah blah blah.

Next game was against Everton I believe and he was absolutely fecking atrocious, and it ended up taking him I think another 4 or 5 months to score or assist.

This media frenzy in support of the legendary Jesse records setting Lingard is the best evidence we can get that he made strong relationships with the press and is the source of all the "excusive" leaks from the dressing room.

How we have managed the last 18 months of JL just about sums up all that has been wrong with our recruitment and letting a couple of accountants in Woodward and Judge have control over player contracts…..

We lend him out as he can’t get in the team - he goes to West Ham and has a great few months….his stock/value rises considerably even though he has 1 year left on his contract.

JL comes back full of himself after having lots of smoke blown up his arse about how he performed at West Ham.

Nice guy Ole doesn’t want to upset anyone and probably doesn’t want to let him leave so that people question his management of him.

Woody and Judge think that they can extend his contract so that his asset value is protected.

We go and sign Sancho so JL has no chance to play. He starts to sulk and lets it be known he is not happy in the media and questions Ole.

Ole leaves and is replaced by RR who also doesn’t rate him or play him. We get one last chance in Jan to flog him for some cash to Newcastle…..we reject it - and then never play him again.

We leave a bitter player in our squad full of resentment…..then wonder why we have a toxic changing room?

The lesson we need to learn more than most is that when the show doesn’t fit anymore don’t put it back in the cupboard to gather dust - throw it out or sell it on eBay, just don’t hang onto it hoping that maybe one day it just might fit again.

Glad he is gone. Thanks for the contribution. He used to be useful player but that is no longer the case.

I do hope similar fate be will be unleashed towards Rashford.

I think Jesse may be a little surprised with the reaction to all this. He clearly felt the fans were still on his side and hadn’t worked him out. Deary me.

When Lingard eventually moves on I wonder how he will look back? "A couple of medals here and there as a squad player, one nice WC and a great spell at WHU, a wad of cash but not enough games. Ended badly with no send off".

He must be gutted deep down.

It happens everywhere, we just focus on it because it happens at our favorite club.

Young players get a million Instagram followers before their first official game, girls throwing themselves at them, earning shitload of money and are adored by millions. You have to be a well-balanced guy to not let that get to you. They live in a bubble, in a fairy tale world, very far from reality.

The majority of our leaks come from our English players I'm sure of it

Also agents speaking in their ear about how great and special they are.

To an extent I can understand the youth clique having their noses put out of joint with all the criticism and hate and how badly the club has been run around them during their peak time here but that doesn’t excuse the fact that they have majorly contributed by massively underperforming, leaking info and frankly ripping the club and fans off. These guys are meant to be the embodiment of the clubs values and that says it all really. I really hope our club learn a valuable lesson or two about modern youth promotion from the post Fergie years.

Think of it another way. If the Newcastle offer (wasn't it just a loan?) was less or not much more than what we owed on his wages for the final 6 months, then why should we sell when Martial was out on loan and Greenwood arrested?

Like I've said many times, Jesse could have handed in a transfer request, foregoing his remaining contract with us to ensure a deal could be done. He didn't, he chose to run it down. It's was his gamble. Yes we have had to suffer because of it, but it sends a bad message to other players and agents (think Martial) that we're a club that's happy to pay big wages and then just loan players out till their deal expires and then they can sign elsewhere on a free whilst the club's gets literally nothing.

How we've treated Lingard is completely fine from what I can see. Players should only get one loan move (not including young players) so to generate some interest if they're not playing regular for us. If they fail to move immediately following that move then there shouldn't be any more loans, and they shouldn't be sold at a loss.

Hopefully we get fewer players like this going forward!

Quite an achievement to get up United fans' noses more efficiently than he did Arsenal fans' noses.
