They're harsh comments, but it's not acceptable to be overweight if you're a professional referee IMO.
You're kind of right, his unfit state really makes matters worse, though. He's never near the action, constantly needs breaks after 30 minutes and so on. He'd be a better ref if he was in shape, and that's his job
