If Kane is out is it Ronaldo time as captain?

I feel like he is probably the best striker replacement for Kane.
Vardy I feel not so certain about starting.

I've been freed to gamble by being a million points behind in my league, everything has worked and I'm back within touching distance for the final week. Alas the exuberant joy that my fecklessness has brought to an otherwise painful campaign has proved impossible to resist, and I've taken a hairy -8 to give me Ronnie, Nketiah and Kane up top, Son, Maddison and Mount and Laporte, Robertson, White and Alonso with Schmeichel in goals. Feck it. Live fast, die young. Or something.

My situation is this...1 point behind the leader in our mini league with 1 FT each

My team...

Pickford (Foster)
James Cancelo Schar (Cash) (Amartey)
Mane Kulu Saka Coutinho (Gordon)
Kane Jesus Richarlison

£2.3m in the bank

His team...(am guessing his first 11 before transfers)

Schmeichel (Foster)
Cancelo TAA Robertson (Mings) (Cedric)
Son Kulu Maddison Saka (Gordon)
Watkins Richarlison (Weghorst)

£6.7m in the bank

He's obviously going to bring in Kane and has hinted at Toney as well so I think that's his front 2. His defence is gonna kill me if/when Liverpool keep a clean sheet against Wolves so I have to pray for a miracle there (a Wolves goal  )

My advantage over him is Mane, Jesus and James if they all play. All capable of hauls on their day. My worry is James, Schar and Amartey all miss out and leave me with 2 at the back.

So......I will take a -4 to match him (and so I can keep the above 3 players). My two best options I think are

a) Coutinho & Rich out for Son & Nketiah ... captain Son and hope my differentials outscore his. Will Nketiah defo play thought with it being Laca's last game?

or

b) Coutinho & Rich out for KDB & Gelhardt (Leeds need something from that game) ... ignore Son and go full differential. Captain Kane, Mane or KDB.

@Moby @Dirty Schwein @Sandikan @BeforeKeanetherewasRobson & anyone else...help me out chaps.
Was going to say Son is the big miss, so the Option A looks wise.

Will do Richarlison to Kane, and have 9 definites.

Ramsdale
James TAA Rudiger
Saka Son (c) Kulu
Toney Kane

2 from Cash, Holgate, Gordon, Ramsey, Weigy (sub keeper Dubravka)
  1. Leave with single freebie
  2. Do a -4 for Ramsey to Foden (has to happen tonight as money precise)
  3. Do a -4 for Weigy to Jesus (plenty of dough to do it)
  4. -4 to bring Cancelo in
  5. Kane or Son captain?

For the last time this season lads, holding on for the £10 for 8th, but with a chance of climbing a couple of positions if it goes well...

I think the Jesus hit might be worth it. City attacker would be nice. Kane v Son, I don't think there's a right/wrong answer

I'd wait on the transfer as you have options and Foden doesn't usually return big. At least he never did for me anyway

Also I'd take a punt with your captain (not Son) because £10 is feck all so why not.

I might've risked too much, but aye, even being 9k can be boring.

Out goes: Cash, Weghorst, Foden

In goes: Sessegnon, Elanga, Vardy.

Final team
Martinez
Sessegnon-Matip-Robertson
KdB-Elanga-Barnes-Son
Kane (TC)-Richarlison-Vardy

subs: schär, amartey, brownhill

If you're looking to climb, Foden. He should play as this is their last game. Or get Cancelo, who will play for sure... Depends how far the guy behind you if. If far enough, get Foden. If he's close, get Cancelo.

I'm getting Son as cap. Was going to anyway but Kane potentially shitting himself at the thought of bottling it made up my mind

4.8 actually :).I shall say I would want a top defender.

I have 3 Spurs so can't get anyone from them.
There are no top defenders for that price. Pick a Palace defender. We are gonna score jackshit and they will score against us. If you are lucky you get an assist.

Was thinking Chalobah, but not sure he starts.

Hit for Alonso could be better, but yeah 3 Chelsea is too risky if Tuchel decides to feck my team again and rotate them all.

@Dirty Schwein thoughts about your mate Callum Wilsom this GW?
For me if you want to buy a striker this week for around 7 million to replace Ings or Watkins then Toney vs Leeds feels like the best one.

Burnley have decent def or maybe it is just me praying since I know Taylor will end up playing again when my Chelsea players gets rested.

Toney is quite template. Thinking about some punts.

Yeah mate, go for it if you want them sweet sweet 2 point hauls. Now that you've thought of him, if you don't get him, he will score two goals... So is the way with that cnut.

Maybe get DCL? Arsenal can't keep a CS to save their lives.

Haha it is funny cause Schär is the one I am looking to sell.
Ha. I'd keep him if you aint got a huge upgrade like Alonso/James on your hands. Burnley doesn't score much/Newcastle doing quite alright. Burnley could play it safe to just get 1 pt while hoping Leeds do not win. Not sure they'll be that attacking as it's not their style. You dont want to try a whole new style in the most important game of the season.

Imo The "safest" of the cheapos is Sessegnon however

How are Chelsea's injuries looking, is Reece James more or less nailed on to play? Given Walkers casually decided to show up at training, Zinchenko now a minor concern, so I kind of need a backup defender for that shit...

But I wanted to drop one for Tsimikas(Cash out) so I can get Mount(Gallagher out) in - bang on.

Chelsea players are super risky. I would love Alonso for a hit, but then if they rotate I could be 3 player down.

Time to finally unleash my Triple Captain.
Either Kane or Kane is the decision. Or go go James for Chelsea for a real final day punt.

In terms of the big boys. A few hunches.

I really Salah. I think he will play. Also not feeling KBD at all. Think City will struggle. It's just that niggling feeling that Liverpool are gonna win the league. Its all lined up (the Gerrard thing and everything else that has fallen into place for them). As basic and boring as it sounds - i think capping Salah is the way to go. He's getting double digits.

Also think Spurs wont have it easy and Son will blank again...

Current team:

Schmeichel (Ramsdale)
Robertson Cancelo Rudiger James (Cash)
Son Kulu Maddison (Gordon Zaha)
Richarlison (Watkins Dennis)

Got 3.2 in the bank, no Liverpool or City attackers though, can get rid of Zaha/Gordon/Watkins/Dennis to fit some in, best bet looks like Zaha/Watkins > Diaz/Jesus for -4, anything look better than that?

On Bruno G. right now.
I would go for a more attacking player if you got the money.

I much prefer Wilson to him as he is the main man on pens.

Now Bruno has got recent returns, but it is similar to Fred. You do not expect them to keep it up.

I get it that in the final day of the season he might have more freedom to get forward and Newcastle have improved.

I know I said the same about Willock last season and avoided him and he scored 5 in a row or something.

Confidence can be key and Bruno certainly got it.

Although Burnley are bookies favorites to win since they need it and I would not really trust Newcastle a lot here.

Newcastle are clearly better at home as well.

Burnley having to attack gives value to Bruno and Wilson. Ideally I wanted Eriksen and Jesus but a bit short on that so could be Bruno and Jesus. And maybe Henry or Janssen to cover Brentford. Or just Eriksen and Wilson. Barnes high in that list as well.
