Tax is at 50%, so if he receives 10 mil €/year..that's 20mil € to the club.

Its not a poor league. Its full of talent everywhere and is very physical. They just don't have enough dirt money in the top clubs(appart from PSG) to concentrate the best players in three or four sides.
Translation: "we don't see him as a DM in our system and we believe our -interior- midfielders from La Masia are better."
