I stand corrected. The parade is today at 4pm BST. An open bus parade for winning the two domestic cups is ridiculous. An open bus parade on the 37 anniversary of Heysel is malapropos

It won't get much mention because Heysel seems very much a taboo subject, but holding a parade on the anniversary of it is in really poor taste.

They've claimed they are going to be commemorating Heysel today too but it's still bad, essentially throwing a party on the anniversary of one of the darkest days in football.

Surely they are not really parading the Premier league trophy , it has been won twice since then. That has got to be bullshit.

There's scummy fans in all fanbases, but there is something inherently wrong with the club in itself there.
I just can't believe someone at the club didn't say hang on, this is a bad idea.

Rightly or wrongly they've faced accusations for years of downplaying Heysel or even downright ignoring that it happened. Stuff like this doesn't make Liverpool look good in that regard.

I'm sure there are logistical reasons why if they are having a parade it had to be today but it just doesn't feel right.

I wish I was there. I would be celebrating Klopp's contract extension until 2026. 4 more years, 4 more years.:devil:

Hillsborough I can understand, as they were wronged and you can choose to turn it into a tribute or do whatever you like with it. But Heysel? Nah. Juventus fans must be fuming.

You got to give them credit for getting number of people out there but man, this feels so wierd. What is next to celebrate? Draw against West Bromwich? Oh, my fault. They already did that once.

Thay are showing it on their youtube channel.

What are your thoughts on the trophy parade being held on the 37th Anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster?

They've announced Salah getting goal of the season before the parade. Something else for the parade to cheer.
