So what's next for Sir Gareth Southgate?

He's just another shite unimaginative English manager lacking in ideas and adverse to risk. Him reaching that final is like Solskjaer finishing 2nd, a complete fluke

Yeah, has a very talented generation of players but he reverts to playing 7 defensive players (at the euros with 5 at the back and Phillips/Rice anchoring) to try and make up for his own incompetence.
He doesnt. They are the most overrated bunch Ive ever seen bar Kane and Sterling.

On the way to relegate to League B. Hiding trump card for World Cup?

Feck Southgate his handling of Rashford and Sancho at the Euro's to how he's now basically said they're out of the squad for the WC has been nothing short of appalling

He should go now.

It's like Ole, if he'd gone after the Europa Final you could have had people saying it was harsh and too soon but it was the right time. He'd taken us as far as he could and he could have left with his head high. Instead we kept him on, the season was a disaster and he ended up getting sacked.

It's the same with Southgate

Classic England thing to waste a brilliant generation of players ok an absolute clown as a manager. The guy would flop out of the premier league after he got his mandatory chances. If they were smart, they'd replace him with Potter asap.

When he first got the job I was pleased that he was picking the young players rather than sticking to the old guard. His tactics at the WC and Euros however put me right off him - utterly negative and average.

We are wasting what should be a golden generation of attacking talent on Southgate. He got massively lucky to have such easy routes open up in the last two tournaments, which covered up some utterly dismal performances. Never going anywhere with him in charge - the real shame is the amount of talent in the England team being wasted though.

You saw the same shite with Sean Dyche. The fans and media in this country have shit for brains when it comes to the manager. Burnley would not have got relegated if they pulled the trigger a few games earlier.

Another generation of great attacking players gonna be wasted by an ultra cautious coach.

Are people actually serious with the Smalling thing? He's dreadful on the ball and rightfully is nowhere near the england squad.

if we’d have cut loose against a team like hungary we might have lost 8 nil. southgate has been proven right once again.

He's overachieved by facing mickey mouse teams on route to two tournaments. When they eventually faced a good side (Croatia and Italy) he was found out and alot of England players were also.

Also Aaron Ramsdale is one of the worst keepers I've ever seen, a traffic cone would do a better job in goals then him

Boring, bland, uninspiring. No wonder that’s how England play under him! He seems to prefer the dull players lacking personality too! Someone like Sancho is far too off the cuff and creative to be in a Southgate team!

Keeps picking teams with no creativity and limited technical players. Seems to have an obsession with players with pace and players who run. But keeps leaving players who have football intelligence on the sidelines.

England were awful tonight but when foden came on a clever technical player we suddenly had a threat he was geting into little pockets of space and causing problems for Hungary. The problem was we were already 2-0 down.

A midifled three of Phillips/bellingham/Gallagher, is solid and hardworking but there not gonna really control a game and break teams down with clever passing and creativity, and then throwing saka and bowen into the mix who aren't exactly highly technical or creative either and you do wonder where he thought the chance creation was going to come from? Corners? A kane dive maybe?

Hes not dreadful and playing better than all but Tomori at the moment.
He absolutely is dreadful, as bad as Wan Bissaka. He has to turn his whole body to make a simple pass because his technique is so bad. Serie A is the league Ashley Young went to and won a league title, it's not very good.

Smalling is not progressive with his passing but he's a safe passer. Dreadful is disrespectful way to describe him.

If this England with all the fancy ball playing defenders couldn't attack, then shouldn't they rather get someone who can properly defend? 0-4 at home is inexcusable.

GOAT manager, needs to be kept long term. Should be signed into a new contract before his price skyrockets after the inevitable WC win.

Nope they are struggling to find form for united. I am not blaming him for that.

Rashford has been beyond bad for United and doesn't deserve to start for club nor country. There's a lot of things Southgate can be criticised for but dropping Rashford isn't one of them
